Hotel Den Burg

Breakfast was awesome, very varied and tasty. Room was large enough, clean, quiet. TV/Wireless were ok, liked the inclusion of a Nespresso machine and a few complimentary capsules. Nice environment and area, secure (locked) bike storage place and nice, large own parking. Very close to the city center. Very nice personnel.

A bit too warm in the room while we were there, there was a tower fan but rather small and not really useful.

The location was very conveniently placed right in the heart of the island. The town centrum is just 5 mins walk.Decent breakfast , super helpful staff .

We stayed at this hotel on Texel for three nights, including New Year’s, and had an overall enjoyable experience.The staff was very friendly and always helpful. Our room was comfortable, and the blackout curtains were perfect for a good night's sleep.

It was a bit noisy at times, with sounds coming from the hallway and neighboring rooms. With earplugs this was easily mitigated.

The beds were nice and very comfortable and we slept like a baby. The staff accommodated our request for baby crib which was also quite clean. They also upgraded us to a different room on our arrival. The breakfast was scrumptious with a lot of variety of eggs, breads and jams as well as hot drinks.The room was equipped with kettle and coffee machine as well as teabags and coffee capsules. There were toiletries in the bathroom to shower etc.

There was dust on the cabinets in the room.

Beautiful and cozy place, love it! Manager was very kind asking me what would I like for breakfast. It was pleasant, and the breakfast was perfect. My room and bed was comfortable, i slept very well

Room climate control was bit lacking, couldnt regulate it to desired temperature

The hotel is well located with private parking. Being set almost in the centre of the island it is within easy reach of everywhere else. And the town centre with its facilities, restaurants and bars is close by.

No complaints really. Maybe availability of fruit salad would have made an otherwise generous breakfast perfect.

The staff was very kind to the dogs!

We had to pay before some tax (people) and after some tax (dog). Not combined, so after our stay a little surprise came, which was a little confusing. But not a problem of course!

Everything! This hotel is a must go! We stayed with our 6 months golden retriever puppy and were stressed as it was our first weekend getaway with him and even if the place is allowing dogs, you never know how people will react but the receptionist was amazing and gave him and us a warm welcome (and some treats for our doggy). The room was spacious, well equipped and comfy. The breakfast is delicious! It is also perfectly located in Texel island with free parking available in the hotel.

Nothing, this place is perfect! We already decided to go back there when we will come back to Texel!

Value and quality of the room were not in relation with eachother..

Ventilation pipe of hotel directly in front of window.The ventilation was running all night long and was very noisy.The bathroom was very old and in bad condition.The room was very narrow and small, even for a single person.Although there was a musquitonet in the windows, there were several musquito's during the night flying around.The room was very hot due to the summer weather.It was noisy; you could hear the guests talking on other rooms.

Breakfast was delicious. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The staff is helpful.

The bed and the pillows were too soft and not very comfortable.

Nice room and good breakfast with a large selection of products.

No elevator. No bikes for rent for guests. And the only bike rental in town wanted 100 euros for rent from 5 p.m. to 9 a.m. the next day.

Nice location in center, all the attraction are near by

We had many mosquitoes in the room. There is a small storage space in the room. On warm summer days the room is too hot.

We felt extremely welcome and well taken care of - the receptionist went out of her way to make sure we were happy. She gave us tips and really made us feel secure and happy. When single and travelling with teenagers, this means a lot

Nice Staff, that was very helpful! The rooms was very clean and the breakfast looked also very good.

We were reading the bad reviews and got scared a little. But it turned out to be a usual hotel. Everything is great. My motorcycle was put under the roof, that's for the first time with me.

We were disappointed by the beds. It's a common problem, but still - it's possible to make one big bed - so that one person doesn't fall in between the two beds.

Very well located for access to Den Burg and the rest of the island.

The rooms need an upgrade, cigarette buds were still there from the previous occupants and weeds on the terrace. Wouldn’t take much to make the room excellent. Staff are lovely but overstretched and don’t speak Dutch. Would be good if reception hours were extended.

It's a clean hotel, friendly personnel, great location.

The only uncomfortable thing was the bed, because the double bed (that we were expecting) turned out to be two single beds with a hole in the middle.

The whole building should be renovated. facilities are old. like 70's style. The rooms subject to noise. The bed matrass too soft and old. its a noisy building, lack of noise isolation. Room was near road so also noise from outside.
