    Pros +

    • Beautiful hotel, rooms were very comfortable, love the radio in the room and loved the balcony.
    • Immaculate Hotel in a pristine and beautiful setting. The rooms were spacious. The staff were fantastic and the restaurant on site was superb. Nothing but good things to say.
    • The hotel is beautiful, my room was very spacious and comfortable. The gardens were also well maintained and cared for.

    Cons -

    • the handle on one of our showers came off - seemed strange
    • My staff was good, the hotel certainly is beautiful. However, I had order a room with a balcony and given one that did not. Though at check-out I was told the room assigned was an upgrade, I was disappointed with this occurrence without informing me at check-in.
    • Nothing. It was all lovely.

Breakfast was amazing. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. The art work in unbelievable!

Some of the bedrooms are outdated

Very relaxed atmosphere. It had the atmosphere of "just enough' without the opulence which, is unnecessary. Spar was great. Food excellent.Staff were down to earth and friendly which is all you want.

We were disturbed during the evening and night by a neighbour snoring and conversations from others.

Excellent location and luxurious spa facilities. Restaurant experience was very special.

The shower had limited control over temperature. It's much too hot. Probably a fault in the room we had.

    Great location

The staff although friendly were not 5* & could have been alot more attentive & professional.

to expensive for what it was , will try other hotels on return

Breakfast was fair not Relais Chateau we have experienced around Europe. One point the Waiter scraped the food off plates at the table on clearing, didi not looked good .

700E for an average room then asking 70E for breakfast was ridiculous for where the hotel was located.

    10PamelaPosted on: 8-18-2024

The beauty of it, the incredible staff, food and its location.

    10AlexandraPosted on: 8-14-2024

The grounds are spectacular, and so is the staff. They were so helpful in suggesting places to tour. We loved everything about our stay! The bartenders were amazing!

excellent food and stay would recommend

its a little older style but still beautiful

Firstly the staff from start to finish are outstanding, they are so professional yet friendly and not in any way unapproachable the head waiter in the restaurant couldn't have been more helpful, my daughter is coeliac and he went above and beyond to assist. The food was the best I've had in any restaurant anywhere, it was expensive but you get what you pay for.The outdoor jacuzzi and the pool are fantastic, and facilities in the spa are pretty special, The rooms are large, airy, and very comfortable beds, and bathrooms were beautifully appointed with lovely products.Amazing views from the dining room and that jacuzzi ..wow

If the hotel was charging a 4 * prices , I wouldn't be mentioning any of the below issues, but it isn't so... The TV was a very basic model, and we only had irish channels remote was flimsy and not completely functional. There was no Netflix or BBC or skyThere is a bit too much large brown antique furniture in the corridors they are very large and seem out if place more like were left over and put on corridors for storage? In our rooms, most of the brown furniture was very scratched, and drawers and doors were sticking. There is no lift up and down for the spa from 2nd floor my mum is very elderly and finds stairs difficult.I really think a 5 star hotel should have a small fridge with fresh milk in the rooms ... not uht sachets.I think 60pp charge to use the jacuzzi 1 steam room and 1 tropical shower is excessive. I would have been happy to pay 20 for a couple of hours. I've been to other 5 star hotels where this is included in the room rate. The treatments were far out of our price range, so I didn't try those. The shower in our room was quite weak. The canopy over the front door cheapens the exterior of the building. It's a tarp material that is green it just wasn't what i was expecting.no ramp up to front door for elderly or inside door.

Really comfortable hotel, staff really friendly, breakfast lovely. It was my daughters 18th and a gift of champagne was left in her room - very thoughtful

The customer service and attention to detail was outstanding. From arriving in the car park and help with luggage to the restaurant staff and the housekeeping and reception staff. All very diligent and incredibly kind

We had a deluxe room overlooking the sea. The views were amazing but the bedroom and lounge area felt dated and tired. It was immaculately clean just felt outdated. The bathroom has been updated and was pure luxury. The other issue (which I am not sure how you fix in an old building) is the noise from the room above. Every step in the bedroom and bathroom could be heard which was distracting and surprising.
