Cons -
- Supplement for some options on the breakfast menu (5euro)- first time ever seeing this at a hotel!! the pool changing rooms need to be remodelled and upgraded.
- Bar stools would have been nice at the counter. However we did enjoy the outdoor seating, as te weather was perfect.
- Main foyer area lacked atmosphere and carpets were stained- not a good front of house.Bar and Restaurant lacked atmosphere also- very bright lights, no flowers and tables were uninviting-We were on floor 2 and there was an awful damp smell outside our room in the hallway. Our room was fine but better lighting is needed. The staff were friendly but sorry the hotel just lacked any warmth and atmosphere.

Breakfast was very good with lots of options. Had to pay extra for the better things which is a little weird but good that they are available. Staff were friendly. It was okay but a little weird like they have just started running the hotel or something.
There was a lot of stuff not working properly. Automatic doors on entrance not working. TV has bad reception and boring TV stations, pool was cold on first day including the hot tub. People were noisy in the hall at night. Staff were busy - reception phone often not answered. First hotel I've stayed in with no fridge!
Location and pool
Bed was very uncomfortable. Thin pillows and itchy sheets
Spacious hotel with plenty of parking just a short stroll into Claremorris town.
The lobby is currently the "bar" seating area which is strange but possibly temporary. I had to go to the breakfast room to find out I needed a voucher from reception first. The "full" Irish breakfast was very small. Despite checkout being 12 noon housekeeping knocked several times loudly on my door at 1030 but the girl spoke literally no English and couldn't seem to understand I was planning to leave at 12.
Food was very good. The exercise facilities are excellent. Room was very clean.
Receptionists were not friendly or informative, nor did they answer the phone when I called from my room. They didn't explain how to turn on the lights in the room, which is accomplished by putting a door key into a slot on the wall near the light switches. Luckily a housekeeper was nearby and showed me but with an attitude like I was an idiot. The room was situated right above the outdoor smoking area off the bar. We had to close the window due to cigarette smoke getting in the room. Then it was so warm we had to open it again. It was unusually hot weather and there was no fan in the room. The partiers were very loud and were literally yelling outside my window till after 3 AM. As far as I am aware there was no staff supervision. The road noise was quite bad as well. My daughters were in different rooms and also reported a lot of noise.
Lovely location, close to Clare Morris town. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We had dinner twice in the restaurant and the food was great. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Wifi wasn't great.
Clean and basic
No music for Easter holidays and bank holiday
. Convenient as near golf course. Good sized bedroom. Friendly staff
. Not enough seating space. Breakfast far too expensive @ €31 for a basic breakfast
Location and pool
Pillows to hard and couldn’t find a soft one
Good location for travelling to Westport. That’s it’s
Closed the bar early on both nights because of a group of guests they had staying - we suffered along with other guests that paid good money for our stay. Party’s going on in family rooms beside us until 5-6am we got little to no sleep. Poor dressing rooms were way below hotel standards, overall really poor stay underperforming hotel that has great potential, will never return.
The room was clean and looked great, staff were friendly breakfast and. dinner was excellent
The breakfast very good
Food in the evening was very poor and expensive. For example I had fish and chips the batter was soggy and inedible and the chips were awful , and the fish was stale to say the least €22.50
Great room and location. A bit noisy in the back of the hotel due to garbage trucks working during the night.
Nice clean hotel with plenty of room. Friendly staff, rooms were very clean. The hotel is beside the town centre so handy to go to the shops.
The only slight negative was that we were charged a €5 supplement for ordering an omelette in what is supposed to be an all inclusive breakfast Otherwise perfect and we will be returning
Room was very big and the bed was very confortable
The WiFi didn't work in the bedrooms or public area
The location is great and the staff were lovely. There are all the facilities you would need.
Our room wasn’t great. The carpet had so many stains on it and just looked dirty. We had asked for a cot for our baby and there was no mattress in it so we had to fold up a spare duvet and use that. There was also mould on the ceiling above the shower and the bathroom didn’t have a toilet brush. We also thought for the price of the room that breakfast should be included and for what was on offer within the price of the breakfast (without having to pay a supplement fee) that the choice was poor.
Lovely big hotel big bar..No shower gel in the room
