It was old fashioned
food was excellent, maybe a bit more selection Maybe more vegetarian options
property was very good does need some updating especially bedrooms, shower screen over bath didn’t keep water in the bath when stepping out of shower your straight into a bathroom floor completely covered in water to the point where the water is nearly coming into bedroom
Nothing to like
Awful smell of sewage through out hotel tables at breakfast and dinner left uncleared very dirty tables even though staff were wondering around.we kept asking for the manger but feel he was hiding from us..upon entering hotel entrance was dirty and stayed like that all day.The dinner menu was very poor .so we ate else where .After we left we were promised that the manger would call us BUT he never did we made two further calls to the hotel asking for the manager to call us and he never did.Its the very worst hotel we've ever stayed in.
Staff were incredibly helpful and polite. Breakfast was very good.
Rooms are quite small...few things didn't work(light on mirror in bathroom.. but overall was good.
The staff was lovely and friendly rooms was a bit cramped for 2 but very clean the food was exceptional and had good parking it was in a lovely quiet location in a small village like area
No lifts in this hotel and not a hotel for wheel chair or elderly with walking aids plenty of stairs it was fine for me but not for those with walking difficulties not suitable
The staff were all very friendly and helpful .. i had taken my dad for a 90 th birthday trip to explore the places he grew up .. it was a great base for this and dad found the hotel comfortable and easy to negotiate..
I chose the continental breakfast and the choices were limited ... no soda bread ..limited jam ...and weetabix was the only cereal .
