Pros +
- Its atmosphere, and simplicity. The warmth of staff.
- Copious breakfast served in the refectory of the former convent was very special.
- Situated in a historical site with frescoes in the refectory where breakfast was laid out. The monastery chapel was in the building. The staff were very helpful with a bus timetable for arrival sent by WhatsApp. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast well stocked.
Cons -
- Everything was good in the monastery. It is a bit of an uphill hike to the center.
- We would have loved it if the Monastero had a common meeting area or a lounge.
- If you go by foot to todi center, the gradient is quit tough.

The Monastero SS. Annunziata is a historical place to stay - an old monastery. Todi is a hilly, beautiful, old town, and it is best to park outside of the ZTL. Nonetheless, the walk to the monastery was doable with luggage and picturesque. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful, and was offered in an old refectory, with frescoes and paintings on the walls. There is and old church inside the monastery, viewable on the way to the rooms. The staff was professional and helpful. They loaned us a hotel umbrella, which we needed. The room was comfortable and the whole place was well-kept. Todi is very walkable, though hilly.
We would have loved it if the Monastero had a common meeting area or a lounge.
A lot of character and charm full place. Breakfast served in an old meeting room. Just imagine a scene from “the name of the rose” . (The book/ movie).Warm and helpful hospitality. Nice gardens to wander around or just rest.
If you go by foot to todi center, the gradient is quit tough.
Wonderful hotel / Monastery in a wonderful city. Staff were extremely helpful with advice and travel direction in and out of Todi. Breakfast was exceptional every morning, preparation and quality.
The room was massive, we had a small terrace outside the room with a nice view. Very close to the heart of the city. The old building was interesting and unique
Wifi connection was a struggle. Had to stay in the reception area to stay connected.
Great location in Todi - within the city walls. Easy parking. Interesting atmosphere
Noisy. No shower. Breakfast mediocre
Disappointing
Please read carefully what to expact before booking this hotel. It is VERY basic and especially in high temperatures rooms without airco is something one should avoid. Then being put in a room on the thirth floor at a moment in which the occupation rate was low is something we did not understand; "cooler" rooms at lower levels were kept empty and on top of that neighbouring building activities woke us up at six in the morning. We checked out 1 day earlier to look for an alternative (despite of the cost).
It was a pleasure to stay in what was a convent, it was very peaceful and full of beautiful artwork. The staff were charming and the breakfast delicious and abundant
Comfortable room, very nice staff and close to everything!
No air conditioning
Great breakfast friendly staff easy to find
Nothing all good
They had a great breakfast. My wife loved the coffee machine.
I got lost inside the building.
Staff exceptional and attentive, Spoke excellent english and nothing was too much trouble. Superb. Breakfast excellent with a staff member in attendance who was excellent. Bed extremely comfortable and cleanliness of an exceptional standard.
Only problem for me was that it was too far out of town. Taxis too expensive and buses unreliable.
Absolutely stunning property full of history, spotlessly clean, very helpful staff, just beautiful! We did have the suite which had the most amazing view!
Cold through the night, (March stay) made use of the extra blankets, could do with a full length mirror as only the bathroom mirror in the whole suite
Great location, perfect for what we required, lovely breakfast and really friendly staff.
Nothing to not like!
Todi is a very unusual town. The monastery was very historical and interesting and a good location to explore the town. Something very different.
Had to park outside of town but it was only 100m away.
Monastery atmosphere, Nice location with free parking (at less than 100 m), direct access to the old town on foot, Excellent breakfast buffet in old monk refectory. Excellent value for the money.
Not really a problem, but you should arrive before 7PM (or send all the documents in advance so you can get the entry code for the door).
Adequate, great selection of breakfast options fresh, friendly staff
A kettle a little fridge placed in a communal area , so as to make a cup of tea during the day
A really special place at an old monastery, unique atmosphere, Comfortable and clean bedroom and bathroom, perfect breakfast under the hundreds of years old frescos. Very nice, helpful and communicative personnel, even our bicycles got special care.
We were satisfied with everything.
