This is an outstanding property. We stayed in a beautiful room with an amazing view of the valley. Both restaurants provide excellent cuisine and the breakfast is outstanding. The bartender, Claudio, is possibly the best I have ever encountered. The staff perfectly balances professionalism and friendliness. A fabulous experience.

The breakfast was delicious every morning. I visited last year and was surprised there was a new breakfast room. It was quite lovely. The staff is attentive and polite.

We enjoyed an excellent stay at the Monastero. It was painstakingly renovated to the highest level of beauty & comfort. The staff was very attentive from the bar to the front desk. The pool area was very comfortable. One note about parking. It is fairly straightforward to drive to the garage but the road is narrow, two way, and there are parked cars. Beware. There is very limited free parking outside the wall.

Amazing staff, great location, parking garage inside city walls, excellent a la carte breakfast, everything about this stay was top notch, highly recommend!

Pure perfection!

Elegant, beautiful property in a restored monastery on a hill away from the noise but only a few minutes walk to the town. Perfect location, elegant decor, fantastic staff and food.

A beautiful historic property that does a wonderful job providing excellent amenities while still maintaining the historical feel. The pool is beautiful with an outsnading view of Tuscany. The restaurant did an exceptional job catering to us and remembering dietary needs. The location could not have been better for accessing Cortona. The streets are very difficult to navigate so be sure to listen to the staff’s directions for making it to them for check-in!

The room was so comfortable and THAT SHOWER, breakfast was amazing and the pool was such a blessing with the heat.

This was our second stay at this beautiful hotel. The service is exceptional. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that all guests thoroughly enjoy their stay. The breakfast is fabulous - the service, presentation, variety, generous portions, and food quality. The attention to detail is remarkable and greatly enhances the guest experience.

Everything was perfect! My husband and I will return to Tuscany and will plan to stay at Monastero di Cortona!

Beautiful place to stay only minutes walk from the town square. The staff was so helpful and very nice. Our room was so beautiful and big with a private patio.

Beautiful hotel, room was spacious and very nicely furnished and decorated. All staff were very nice and helpful. Great bar with a wonderful barkeeper. Nice, quiet location with beautiful views.

Nothing major, but a couple of small inconveniences: the wall-mounted blow dryer was heavy, had a short power cord, and required holding down a button continuously to operate. It would have been a nice touch to have a Nespresso-style coffee machine instead of just a kettle and instant coffee.

Wonderful hotel, amazing location, incredible view of Tuscany from your window, car charger.

Note that hotel is accessible via very narrow streets if you are driving by car. Expensive flat charging fee.

Sitting by the pool area, with peace in the morning, listening to the church bells and birds. Perfect way to spend Mother’s Day morning.

Beautifully refurbished historical property in a great area. Nice food.

They gave us a room which was claimed as one of the quietest in the hotel. It was next door to the kitchen and laundry, so you hear cleaning the kitchen until late at night and washing machine running from early morning. The room was completely dark facing a full wall right opposite the window. The worst was the crawled mattress, worn out, too soft . Such a room should not even be offered in a 5* hotel for the price charged. Its a shame, very disappointing. Even though the new room which we asked for the next they was completely fine and comfortable. With only short stay, the overall experience is not what one was expecting.
