The location was excellent, the staff were helpful, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was one of the best on our trip.

We stayed in many walled cities in Italy, and this hotel is one of the best — beautiful scenery, spotless rooms, and great comfort.

I stayed five days in four nights at the hotel San Luca. The property is in an excellent location in Cortona. Everything I needed was literally just outside the hotel entrance. Inside there were Incredible views from my window, the balconies, and the breakfast room. Staff was helpful and kind.

I loved everything about it

Outstanding location right on the flat street of Cortona , great restaurants near by parking was a challenge, paid $19 a day and a hike up hill, one escalator was not working- rooms were noisy but view was spectacular

Restaurant would not let you fill and or take coffee/water out of breakfast area- no ice.

It’s a beautiful old school hotel on the most fabulous property. The views are insane and my room had a balcony which ILoved.

The view from the nice hotel terrace over the valley is fantastic! That's the reason to stay in the hotel. Fantastic breakfast buffet with another beautiful view over the valley. Hotel is located right at the entrance of the old town.

Nothing really! The hotel doesn't have a private shuttle to the train station down the hill, despite it says so on booking website. It actually refers to the small city bus (once per hour, 3 euro on board or 1.7 euro if buying at a tabacchi).

Awesome views and location, previous occupants left early and let me check in crazy early (I didn't expect it at all!)

Location. Value. Breakfast. View!

The views over the valley were amazing from my room, taking in the changing light over the course of the hours. And getting to appreciate all this too from the outdoor patio as well as the panorama from the huge windows in the breakfast room was an added bonus. The morning buffet was superb with very attentive staff, and set you up for hours. Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

The rooms in Australian standards, would be 2.5/3 star room and be described as 1960s style motel. I felt like i was in a time warp. The room had a constant fan noise. We were woken every morning by the couple upstairs talking very loudly, including hearing them go to the loo. No tea/coffee making facilities but there was a fridge. The view of the inner 'courtyard', was the back of the property wall with barely any light. The room was super clean but very, very tired/outdated. The shower needs to have mould cleaned with seals replaced.The bed was past its used by date, uneven and I have a sore back from it. Not to mention the flat, dead brick like pillow. The hotel reception and breakfast area were modern and lovely.Would we return, no. You can get the view from other locations.Lastly, we had a booked taxi which cost $40 for 6min ride to the station. Feel ripped off and disappointed

If you need internet, it’s not the place. On and more off or insufficient bandwidth

Beside that everything was good

The wifi is very bad… and the bed was really short. The room was a bit small

We only stayed one night, after our friends left and we had to leave the AirBnB. Very well located as it's accessible by car, and by bus or taxi from the train station. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the restaurant at the entrance, which is not connected to the hotel is great too. There is a wonderful terrace with a great view of the valley below and sunny when the weather is a bit cool too.

The room was quite small and crowded, without a place to work, and the wi-fi extremely slow.

It wasnt a 4 stars hotel. Breakfast was not really assorted. Room was pretty small. No maps left at reception desk and no offer of indicating us anyway. We were phoned at 3 am at night, while sleeping, asking if we had called, what obviously we hadnt, and they didnt even apologize, just finished the call. When we reported it next morning they didnt apologize either, and although they committed to check and investigate we havent heard from them.

The location is perfect for enjoying Cortona. The views from the veranda are exceptional. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a very nice buffet style with many options. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable.

The shower stall was small. But that’s ok.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Accommodations were nice and we enjoyed breakfast. The location is great too.
