Pros +
- Excellent location, wonderful staff, easy parking
- We stopped there overnight because we had dinner reservation at Dario Cecchini in December. It was low season, almost empty but the staff was super helpful and nice. Room is big, warm, you can open the windows, comfortable king size bed. Grounds have beautiful Tuscany views.
- Staff was excellent and the grounds and views were beautiful! Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was also very good and varied. Great place to stay while in town!!
Cons -
- There were 2 steps to get to the bathroom in our room, if you have to go there at night, just have to mindful.
- Room needs a deep cleaning. Dead insects on wall, moldy shower grout and shower head.
- the tile grout in the shower were not clean had mold needed to be clean with chlorine - this was not good -breakfast was poor a tray with very little food - charging 250 euros - it was a must to have a buffet breakfast- this was a big down point

Beautiful details and really kind staff. The breakfast was so nice and the wine dispenser in the lobby was nice.
Staff was very nice, and it was close to the butcher restaurant.

This place is absolutely dreamy. It was our first time in Tuscany, and we did travel around a bit, for example we went to see San Gimignano. However, in the end, no place we saw was better than Panzano in Chianti, and the views from the back of the Pensione were the best of what we had anywhere. The Pensione is part of the Vignamaggio estate, but is location-wise completely separate - it's located in the center of Panzano. Other parts of the estate, such as La Fattoria, are a short drive down the hill. Located in an old building, there are certainly some quirks, such as a lot of up and down stairs to get anywhere within the hotel. Breakfast is served differently than I've seen anywhere else - they bring out an individual tray to each person, but besides asking you how you want your eggs, you can't really customize it (though for younger kids they do customize). It was a mix of sweet and savory items. If you come here, make sure to visit La Fattoria for lunch or drinks, and maybe for one of the arts classes (or wine tastings) that they offer. We did a cyanotype printing class which was so much fun!
The one thing that we didn't like about the hotel was that the beds were pretty hard. I've seen some other reviews with people complaining about the pool being a walk - it's down the hill a bit, but no more than a minute or two from the hotel. The upside is that the pool feels secluded. It - like everything else at this hotel - has amazing views of the surrounding country side.
Design is beautiful, rooms are comfortable, breakfast is very generous and good.
Only one key to the room. Of course we found ourselves locked out one time.
Very clean nice little place. Staff very friendly and helpful, got served a huge breakfast every morning that would be enough to be shared between two people.
Wifi somewhat sluggish. No access to the pool as it’s still too cold to swim, even though it’s advertised to have one all year around. Would have been nice for the views.
Breakfast was amazing, staff wonderful, interior design was great too!
The room could have been a little more comfortable, quite a hard bed and at times the temperature wasnt brilliant. Tea or coffee facilities would have been welcomed and so would have a TV
