- - An (extra)chair in the room would be just fine,,- Parking in front of the hotel is a trap; charged in a minute ( 8o eur ), by municipial "hunting" officer, just waiting you left the car,- Very little parking lot for eur 50/day,- small dog charge eur 50/ day
- Loved everything
- only the shower cabin did not meet the hotel standard - very small with visible damage

I loved everything , location , staff and the best breakfast I ever had . The staff is friendly and attentive
Loved everything
Perfect, perfect, perfect. everything made an impression - the location, the beauty of the hotel, the interior and the approach of the staff, but the biggest impression was made by the breakfast
only the shower cabin did not meet the hotel standard - very small with visible damage
breakfastall the staff
plumbing a bit dated
This was probably the best hotel I ever stayed in. The staff was exceptional, offering to assist us in any way possible. Additionally, the hotel does an extraordinary job giving the guests everything possible, even a going-away gift of chocolates and water. There are staff members throughout the property assisting the guests. The facilities are beautiful, with all details attended to, including beautiful art sculptures. The buffet breakfast is one of a kind. The rooftop pool is spectacular. I will be back.
There was only one situation we wished could have been avoided - one of our hotel bikes broke while visiting a neighboring town.
Very nice Hotel, awesome breakfast, very friendly staff, easy parking , great pool setup
Tv programs didn‘t work, a little walk away from city center, pretty pricey bar and food
Excellent, historic yet modern, exceptional service and staff
Pricey for offseason
The Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in ... and I have travelled the world! It is in a superb location looking out onto the sea. My room was very comfortable. The staff right through the property were top class in terms of being very friendly, helpful and professional. There is an amazing roof top bar and hang out area with fantastic panoramic views of the entire Viareggio area. The breakfast must be the greatest breakfast in the world, so is the choice of food and options to have what every you want cooked on the spot.
The roof top swimming pool is very shallow and so difficult to swim in it.
The breakfast was amazing, so much variety and the quality was amazing. They had Balik Salmon need I say more. Room was amazing and the top floor pool with view was to die for, just amazing
Loved the wonderfull woman greeting us every morning at the breakfast. They took very good care of us and was there to assistant us with everything we needed. An enjoyable stay. Hope everything for the best to the staff and especially to the fantastic woman giving a toy frog to our kid.
The welcome from the reception staff and then from every single member of staff we met, nothing was too much trouble, polite, friendly, professional. Excellent location. Spotlessly clean. Good toiletries, towels. bedding, storage, etc. Breakfast very good, delicious cakes. Lovely pool area, bar, restaurant on 5th floor. The chef comes out to speak to you. Once again, the staff are amazing.
No chair in the room so had to sit on the bed.Shower exceptionally poor. Very small, not even a square. Water kept going from hot to cool so had to constantly tweak the control. The shower head slider did not work so had to avoid the spray. At this price I would expect a bath. A shower might be handy but for a holiday a long hot soak is a dream. The bed head was too small for the mattress so the mattress could not go against the bed head, leaving a wide gap between the two, this meant pillows kept dropping down the gap so as it was the only place to sit, it was very uncomfortable. This needs addressing with the interior designer. School boy error. The pool although lovely has too many odd bits sticking out of it which are quite dangerous when swimming. The Brasserie restaurant was lovely but too nice if you wanted to eat there more than a couple of times.
The standard in the hotel was just exceptional …we had 4 fabulous days to rest after a lot of travelling and sight seeing. We just loved it!! Vicky at the rooftop pool was so kind and caring …just what we needed…be sure to pop up there!!
absolutely nothing!!!
Luxurious and perfectly located. Decor and ambience were old world charm with a modern twist.
The beach club attached to the hotel is not run by the hotel and therefore lacks the standard set by the hotel - facilities, quality of the food - etc -
Extraordinary breakfast Super kind staff (like Vicky at the pool)
Breakfast was out of this world, most amazing selections and variety. in addition to high quality recipes and execution, the breakfast space was spacious, inviting and welcoming. big up to the chef who roams the dining area carrying goodies from the local market.
Simple the best of many 5 star hotels we have stayed in by far. Staff were exceptionally professional. Hotel was awarded the best breakfast in Italy award- apart from an amazing array of homemade pastries and breakfast sundries, we had chefs making crepe suzettes at our table and the Michelin chef was always on hand with steak tartare, oysters and crevettes.. yes, for breakfast- amazing!Although there was a 2 star Michelin restaurant in the evening, we ate at the roof top terrace restaurant to enjoy the spectacular sunset view. Our ‘room’ was a suite of bedroom + lounge + hall + 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies. We had toiletries by Aqua di Parma and Bulgari each day and goodie bag of chocolates upon departure.Yes, it was expensive, but worth every penny. Thanks for a fantastic stay!
Simply the best hotel in Viareggio. By far. Martina at the reception was superb. The quintessential professional: courteous, elegant, efficient and lovely.
