Pros +
- Good spot for closeby restaurants—Vasame for Neopolitan pizza and Gran Caffe Margherita Restaurant.Directly across the boulevard from the beaches.A few blocks from the bus terminal for visiting Torre del Lago Puccini.
- The incredible interior classic pieces of art and lighting indicative of mid century / retro design at its best
- The location of the hotel is great with a seaview. Great value for the money. Short train ride to do day trips to pisa and lucca. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
Cons -
- A/C took a long time to cool room. I’ve had much better A/C units in other places. Toilet paper was some ecological brand. Not much on the roll and had to keep asking for more roles. I found out that the hotel next door charges €40-50. less per night.
- Eggs were cold. They did not put water in the heating pan to keep the eggs warm. The hotel is about 1 mile away from the train station but it's a straight flat walk on sidewalks.
- Parking space was hit or miss. But this is no fault of the hotel. That's a given if you are smack in the middle of the best location. You buy a parking 'permit' cheap at the desk. You are able to pull up in front of the door to offload your luggage.

Amazing friendly and helpful man at the reception desk from check-in until check-out. Good breakfast. And unbeatable location a jump from the boulevard. We'll definitely come back here. ?

Excellent breakfast
It really needs a refresh. Typical private Italian hotel with very little investment in keeping the place up to date. Just looks run down.
Very dirty, expensive, and not on the beach as advertised. Photos do not reflect.
Friendly and helpful staffGood breakfast Good location Clean and bright room
Everything is good.
It was across the street from everything - restaurants, nightlife, the Ligurian Sea. The lobby area was beautiful, with plenty of comfortable seating areas, a small bar, beautiful Art Deco statues & wall prints. The breakfast was excellent. The room & bathroom were very clean, but small. The staff was excellent.
The room was not on the same scale as the lobby, but it is by no means a deal-breaker.
I like the beach view. The breakfast has a lots of choices for a 3 atar hotel. The staff are so friendly.
Aircondition is weak
Location, decor reception, friendliness of staff , very accomodating
Rooms could have an update, but we are using room to sleep, not to stay reception is perfect for relax.Biggest problem here is the parking.
Location excellent. Breakfast very good Staff esp.ladies very helpful and courteous
Internet not working during the day at all?It worked at night when I got back from the show at 1 amAnd I the morn 6 am when no one was using it in the hotelit is unacceptable in a 21 c hotel which charges lots p nightAlso,TV only in Italian?Fridge in the room not working and staff unable to provide a functioning one
Viareggio is top. 5€ for parking 24hr. Breakfast was top, also. Francesco was a real Pro !
1 Parking for intire hotel (unloading/loading. Spent almost 2.5 hours to find a parking. Temporarily! 1 shift of crew denied offering parking in the Internet! Look at the entrance door with al the goodies listed !
The Location on Viareggio main strip was fantastic! Beach and shopping strip right across the road.Very easy to get around.
The hotel is a little run down.
Location was great. The room was a very nice size. The breakfast was average.
The service was terrible. As is typical in Italy, you need a card (given to you at check in) to make the electricity work. While we were out, they kept removing it so the A/C wasn't running and we would return to a hot room. The removed wet towels without replacing them. When I needed extra linens, they brought me to their linen room and had me hunt around myself for what I needed. We kept having to ask that the toilet paper be replenished.
location, room space, bathroom
breakfast
it’s location was very nice , on the beachfront .
it was a little shabby and needed updating .
Air conditioning!!! Wonderfully efficient and so needed. There was a good range of food options at breakfast which were constantly refreshed with new different things. The reception staff were very knowledgeable and helpful and resolved queries quickly. Hotel has access to a beach club but you still have to pay to hire your space, you just get a slight discount for staying at this hotel but maybe that is how all the hotels with beach access work. It is a nice beach and the staff at the club are helpful and they have good facilities like changing cabins and showers you can hire. The bedWe had a late flight home and we were able to leave our luggage securely at the hotel while we went to the beach for the day, changed in the changing rooms at the beach and headed off on the easy bus from just up the road back to Pisa airport after making the most of the day.
We were at the back of the hotel so a horrible view of another building. But it was so hot we just kept the shutters closed to keep the heat out anyway. Would have been nice to have a beach view. The top bunk bed was hard to get into (the ladder didn't clip on securely and to be secure it needed to block the space between the bunks and the double bed meaning you couldn't really leave it there all night. That space felt cramped. The double bed base was made of wooden slats and because of the layout of the room my husband had to crawl up the bed from the bottom. Putting all his weight on one spot through one knee caused the slats to bend and pop out of their 'sockets' with a horrendous bang and jolt. We thought we'd broken the bed several times! Fortunately we were able to reposition them! Beware the slats - spread your weight evenly! The hot drinks machine at breakfast didn't make great coffee, which you expect in Italy, and the juice was also quite watery and unusual flavours.
Very near to the beach and good location ?
The WiFi was very slow, and maybe to change a bit bed for more comfy.
Our room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good. The staffs were kind and helpful. Plus the wonderful view of the beach in our room window.
Nonthing
The location was great. Breakfast was very simple but not bad.
Unfortunately, all the best rooms were sold out.
