Grand Hotel

The hotel was an excellent, well organized, with swimming pool open all the time and closely located to the beach. The hotel was very clean, the room was very spacious with a sea side view balcony and kept very clean.. The reception staff was very professional, attentive and friendly, always ready to help. The services were very good, with one exception- laundry. The bar was close to the swimming pool, very convenient, with friendly staff, the restaurant was very good with a good menu, food was great, but I would appreciate more variety. The beach, was very long and nice and clean but the sea water was very dirty, practically un-swimmable.

One thing I did not like it was returned laundry, the shorts had some small stains, they haven't been washed properly, they were still dirty when they returned them back after washing, considering all great services at this hotel, I was very surprised that nobody even check that, I was leaving so I did not want to argue about it.

Breakfast was great. Light, nutritious, diverse, just fine for quick meal before getting going.

The out door subbed were a little uncomfortable so maybe thicker towels and a head cushion. The Bagno facilities were excellent in comparison

All the staff are rude except for two people. Every time I come to ask for an extra blanket? there is no bike rental? None. Electric sockets? None.. In addition to the bad behavior of the employees. An experience that will not be repeated.

The location was perfect , the staf were friendley an specialy Federica , vita and housekeeping guy roshan he did his work sincerely , the buffet was delisious

They have to improve the sound system , we can hear everything outside , and the wifi was not enough good

The staff are not helpful , they are very short tempered , no servicer nor facilities , they dont have an iron , and even if i ask for laundry they said they are busy , on the pool you cant pay at the same time ,you should pay at the check out only , not well oriented about forte de marmi

Hotel, lobby, facilities, rooms, balcony are all from the 70ies - needs a significant facelift. Not a place you will enjoy staying as a couple nor a family.

The staff can’t understand English and during breakfast time they were unfriendly.

The location was perfect, right in the center, ambience was very good the breakfast was ok the staff was polite

I didn’t like that they take the full amount of the stay at the check in, usually if you are familiar to the hospitality business you know that they need to take a pre authorization on ur CC and close the bill upon check out, Check out 10AM is really to early I would suggest them to be aligned to the rest of the world and put 12.00 pmOther then that great stay

The staff and especially reception , alway helpful and service minded.

In the room I was missing iron/ iron board.Also a full length mirror could be nice in a 4star hotel… I had a large balcony with two chairs, but no table which could be nice. Bathrobe in the room could also be nice. Also something to hang your towels/ wet bathing clothes on could be useful at a beach hotel…This is also not a good place to go as a single traveler. The whole beach is private, and costs 150-250euro/day and this includes beach beds for 2-3 persons. There’s a public beach about 2km away, but there’s no toilets or restaurant. It’s also hard to find a supermarket in this village, if you don’t have a car. So even water is hard to get if you don’t want to pay 2-4euro at the hotel..Overall the hotel in my point of view is overpriced.But super nice staff and helpful :) But Forte dei Marmi is not for anyone traveling alone.

Great pool although I wasn’t expecting it to back on to the main road. Cocktails in the bar were fantastic. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff were pleasant. Bar and restaurant were bright and light spaces. Location is good. Overall a nice 3 nights.

Beds a little hard. VERY thin walls, we heard everything our neighbours did. I originally requested twin beds through booking.com but this had not been communicated to the hotel. Regardless, they changed it quickly. We arrived by train but there were no taxis at the station. I called the hotel and they sent one within 5 minutes however the very short journey was 30 euros. It’s probably fair for Forte but I thought that was very expensive.

The staff were very helpful. The bikes we hired were an added advantage to our stay. We were close to the start of the Terre Di Canossa. The network worked well and the local restaurants had a huge range.

Fabulous location, directly at the beach and it's own pool. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The room was alright, for the money but the bathroom was smashed and shabby. The restaurant was fine for breakfast but very disappointing for evening meal.
