Located within a large private park on the edge of Schesslitz, the Schloss Burgellern offers elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi. The A70 motorway is 2 minutes away. Once a bishop’s residence, the Schloss Burgellern provides rooms with antique Italian furniture and modern bathrooms. All rooms feature wooden floors, a TV with free SKY channels, and beds which are suitable for allergy sufferers. Franconian and Italian specialties are served in the Schloss Burgellern’s restaurant. Locally brewed beers can be enjoyed in the beer garden. The Schloss Burgellern is close to many hiking trails, including the Frankenweg (The Franconian Way). The hotel provides rental bicycles for exploring the beautiful Franconian Switzerland region. Bamberg is about 15 minutes away by car.

- Beautifully restored mansion house with a very modern wellness area. The breakfast is high quality food served in a lovely dining room with views over the lawn.
- Castle style. Friendly staff. Breakfast buffet. Park. Excellent dinner.

- 2nd floor without elevators, no air conditioning8 Although a 4-star hotel, the paint was peeling off the walls in our room. The windows likewise backed a fresh coat of paint It is twenty minutes away from Bamberg (by car) The restaurant is more of a brasserie than a real restaurant. The breakfast was OK, typical German fare. It is overpriced for its amenities
