Villa Sostaga's USP is their location - a truly amazing view on Lake Garda, as well as the forest/park around the hotel. We booked a Junior Suite with a balcony. The room was large and comfortable. The bath products provided were lovely. Dinner in the restaurant was pleasant enough. Breakfast was excellent with all round very friendly staff.
The room's balcony, for which you obviously pay a hefty price, was small and not private. The plants in between our balcony and the next were half dead and looked rather sad, nor did they provide privacy from our neighbours. The view, however, was indeed great. Our main issue, however, was the restaurant service during dinner. The food was good (we had the 5-course fish menu). The waiters, however, were young and totally unqualified. All they could say was: "You're welcome" and "Please"...They were unable to recommend wines to accompany the various courses, nor were they able to describe the dishes, as they were served. Dear owner, please take the time to train your staff in what is being served, how it is cooked, employ a sommelier...It would really elevate the experience!
Absolutely amazing property with a fantastic restaurant.
Beautiful views of the lake and all the amenities you need.
The spa services, but the spa itself is very tiny and the food.
Room, service, location, not family friendly
The property is located in a magnificent area which is definitely breath taking. The nature around is just impeccable and from that point we were very happy.
Coming from a hospitality field and working in hotels for past 10 years, unfortunately I was disappointed with quite few for me extremely important things. First of all the hotel claims to be 5* but I think they should work hard on the food quality and variety because breakfast was a major fail. Not only was there not enough to choose from but for me something unacceptable is when we got our order to the table and asked the lady who was serving us for salt and she just pointed and said "go take it from down there"...... not acceptable for 5* hotel not for any hotel that is charging 2.600€ for 4 nights stay! Complete lack of professionalism. Next thing which definitely gives bad view to the hotel was a gentleman who was wearing jeans and shirt and was sometimes seen driving a car, sometimes helping around. Short with short blond hair. What we didn't like was him smoking infront of all the guests down where a lady was cooking during breakfast, finishing the cigarette on the sole of his shoe and throwing the end to the bin next to her. Everyone saw it, it's totally unprofessional not mentioning his breath after. Our jacuzzi was unfortunately not taken care of properly, I have got a very bad allergy to the amount of chemicals you guys pour in everytime. The water inside was definitely not taken care of by professional who knows the exact amount of chlorine that shall be used. None of us both could stay in the jacucuzzi more than 1 minute because it felt like we are swimming in pure chemicals. Over all the location is beautiful but from my side its definitely not 5* hotel.
It’s an exceptional place to stay. The view to the mountains and lake is hypnotising. We had a junior suite, two rooms and two bathrooms. Very clean and comfortable. The stuff is very friendly, the food was great. We took the degustation menu, wagyu tartar and pasta tartufo just amazing ❤️ my son was having lots of fun in the swimming pool. They have different equipment for kids in the pool house for swimming or playing in the water, which is en extra touch. The jacuzzi was also nice and relaxing. I would definitely like to go back there ?
Superb pool, lovely breakfast, amazing views
Food was excellent but wine and drinks were overpriced
Location was perfect, amazing view of the lake and stunning facilities. The staff were incredibly kind and customer service was 5*! Helping me arrange my engagement to my partner was perfect and they couldn’t be more supportive, very happy with our stay!
The only very minor point I could make is charging for bottle water in the room. Free water in the room should be included in such an upmarket 5* hotel. But that’s it! Everything was perfect otherwise.
Everything was amazing! From breakfast to dinner, the staff, the pool. If you come to Lake Garda this is the place to stay. Also, stunning views!
Best sceneries and best breakfast

Superb view. Dinner very nice. The wine menue is outstanding.
Relation of price to what is offered is not really ok. Durinh Winter time, no Pool, no Jacuzzi and the private SPA costs a fortune. Room is labelled as Junior Suite, but too expensive for what it offers.
Loved everything. The location with amazing views and a delightful Villa filled with antiques and charm. The staff was outstanding!! And the restaurant wonderful.
-the friendly staff-the excellent breakfast -the delicious dinner and the great wine-the view…
We loved this Hotel. It's a real gem. The Hotel itself is beautifully maintained, the views are to die for and the restaurant and wine selection are excellent. We have two dogs and they were welcomed with open arms. The hotel even has a special area where the dogs can run free. Our dogs loved it.
There was nothing we didn't like. We loved the hotel and highly recommend it
Everything. Incredible Italian villa perched on the side of the lake, building full of charm, lovely staff and food, beautiful grounds with panoramic views of the lake
