Located in Pörtschach, directly at the shore of Lake Wörth with a jetty, Strandhotel Kärntnerhof offers rooms with lake views. Guests can sunbathe at the property’s private beach area. Free WiFi is available in all areas. All Kärntnerhof rooms come with a lake view, a bathroom featuring a shower and free toiletries. The rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV an can be located in the main or lake building. Water sports are possible directly from the property's jetty and a rowing boar, surf boards and bicycles are available free of charge. Table tennis and table football facilities are at guests's disposal or read books in the small library. Golf and tennis courts are in the vicinity of the Kärntnerhof. The guests can also enjoy a wine cellar offering seats up to 50 people. Parking spaces are available to our guests free of charge - depending on availability. Velden and Klagenfurt are a 10 to 15-minute drive away and Villach is within 8.7 mi. Hochosterwitz Castle is 14 mi from the premises and the Minimundus Miniature Park can be reached within 10 minutes by car.

- Doesn’t deserve 4 stars anymore.1. Owner who prioritizes family vacations over guests who have paid for their stay:- Parking spaces occupied by the owner's family, forcing guests to move to paid public parking.- Sun loungers reserved with cones by the owner's family.- Owner's dogs running off-leash and attacking guests' dogs.2. Very small parking area.3. Lack of room amenities:- No air conditioning.- Non-functional refrigerator.- Very low water pressure.- No kettle.- No possibility of renting an ironing board and iron for the room (there's only one central location in the main building to iron your clothes).4. Buffet completely unprotected against insects. Wasps flying everywhere! One of us was stung during breakfast.

This is a absolutely wonderful hotel. Very accommodating and friendly staff and a perfect location on the lake just off of the main town waterfront. Parking was on site. Our room was upgraded and was beautiful, clean and wonderful and on the waterfront with a view of the lake. We paddle boarded with complementary paddle boards and had a drink at the restaurant grassy area. Beautiful. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant and although a bit pricey it was fantastic 5 stars on the lake at sunset. WOW! Our Chef de Rang was Sabina and she made the evening so special. A delightful hotel and wonderful stay!
