Our stay at Balance Spa and Hotel was heartfelt and truly special. The hotel is very family-oriented, and the staff make you feel genuinely known and cared for. They even surprised us with a special gluten-free birthday cake for our daughter, which meant a lot to us.The food was absolutely outstanding—gourmet-level, delicious, and made with so much heart. Every meal reflected the care and talent of Andrea Grossman, whose cooking is simply incredible and full of thoughtful touches.The sauna experience was another highlight, especially the Soul Aufguss led by Carmen. She created a beautiful, moving atmosphere and even sang during the Aufguss, which we really loved. She also prepared a special cream for us to use between sessions—a lovely detail.The room was comfortable, and the cleaning staff were exceptionally friendly and warm. Overall, Balance Spa and Hotel is a place where you feel personally cared for in every detail.

We enjoyed the fact that the hotel upgraded us upon our arrival which was a nice and pleasant surprise! The lake view was great! The whole SPA and pool area was amazing with many people but with never the feeling it was crowded. Food and breakfast very good! We could not hope for more for our short stay

Maybe just one note: if you arrive in the afternoon and plan to have dinner at hotel, contact the hotel before your arrival as it is very likely dinner will be fully booked

We had a very nice prolonged weekend in the Balance hotel. Staff very fiendly, professional. Rooms spacous, great breakfast - loved salmon and prosecco, which brings all the experience on the higher level. Spa is amazing, big with nice pools (one with seawater). Sauna section is huge with great saunas, views. We will definetely return, as we booked already another stay. Highly recommended!

The room was definitely not adequate to a 4-star superior standard. When I arrived, I noticed two spiders, a lamp not working (see pictures) and a mattress completely saggy. I talked about these inconveniences with the owners and they offered me to cancel my stay (which I assume is not in line with booking.com terms). They refused to change anything and reacted very harsh („we don’t want you to stay in our house“). Furthermore, the breakfast is very poor as there is only a very limited variety of foods. Overall neither the room nor the breakfast is not even close to a 4-star superior standard.

We really loved the hot tub outside and spa aerea

We couldn’t watch Netflix and we couldn’t apply our language or subtitles on the television either ,not even in English .We didn’t like it at all .

The breakfast for €33 per person per day is nowhere worth the cost.

A nice holiday

We stayed in October, on a weekday. I know the tourist offer of the place very well, being Preferred Guest of a well-known hotel chain in this city, where I often come on holiday. I must say that for the extremely high price we paid in this hotel, the services offered were very disappointing: the dinner was very poor and not adequate for a 4 star superior hotel. Furthermore, the menu included a chocolate dessert, but instead they served us sweet fried dumplings without giving any explanation. At breakfast the buffet was very poor: the desserts were 1 donut and croissants. this hotel promotes itself as a wellness hotel, but there was no auffguss. Only on Friday, the day of our departure, was there an auffguss in the sauna: but since it was the day of our check out, we were asked for €30 per person, a total of €60 to be able to access.The sauna master was not professional: he did not use any music, and talked continuously during the session, ruining the relaxing atmosphere.The hotel advertises itself as a "lakefront hotel", however it is located very far back and far away.

Spa and pool area. Good breakfast. Friendly staff . View of the lake. Great location for hiking and biking. Bikes readily available.

Noise from motorway and train. Bathroom too small for this class of hotel.

The saunas were epic, resting area superb, snow room very interesting, cold pool for the extra over the top.

Everything was fantastic, spa, pool, room and staff

I didn't like the food. I imagine some people would love it, but for me it was too fussy and too 'cordon bleu'. It is just personal preference, l like Austrian food when l am in Austria. Itcwould gave been great if there was an alternative choice.

Facilities are beautiful and clean, the room maid was very friendly

The general mood is not good - the waiting staff is grumpy and feels actually quite unprofessional - if you want to be 4*S it should feel very (!) different we are a family with 2 kids and it felt like this was not very welcome - if you want to be adults only then be it and declare thatalso we had an issue with a sick kid and had to leave one day earlier - no return and no discount - and not even asked how he was doing when we left… overall handled very disappointingly

Design is kitschy and altmodisch, too much details, artificial flowers, not the best portraits of long-dead artists every 2 mitres. It’s a little bit noisy because of Autobahn

The hotel was beautiful, had several sauna options and the infinity pool was amazing. The snow room was very unique! The bar tenders, especially Louis, were top notch and would come back to that hotel for them specially. Golf course discounts were an added bonus.

The building, the position, the spa

We have not been alerted that, due to a big party, in which we were not interested, the restaurant service were not available, even though I paid for the half board service. It was not a problem not to eat in the hotel, but it was enough it to be clarified in the emails We exchanged a week before. When I tried to change the board service, they replied that nothing could Be change and I got no Money back. at the end, I was also asked to pay the city tax…
