Hotel Post Murnau

The property was very quaint and comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful.

WiFi was very touch and go. I had trouble with it dropping out all the time.

Great location to enjoy Murnau & also travel to surrounding villages. Hotel provides card that can be used to enjoy local museum & ride train free. Staff are just lovely you can’t help but love them all! Breakfast is ample: assorted breads, jams, cheese & meats; yogurt & nuts, dried fruits, granola, juice; tea coffee juices… it’ll get you going.

Parking is free… but only have 7-8 spots & the garage & driveway is a nightmare to get in & out of. Walls are thin, can hear all your neighbors talking, shaving, using toilet etc. no a/c obviously, & with the hotter months it’s unbearable to sleep, so stuffy & leaning windows open invites bees & mosquitoes!!

for handicapped people with walking disability there are stairs to walk up to get to reception/room

The bed is a little small. There is only one pillow.

Comfortable room, powerful shower, stable and strong WiFi, good breakfast buffet with freshly made eggs "any style you want". Very competent and friendly lady at the reception. Location downtown in a lovely Bavarian village

Norhing to do with the hotel, but the restaurant options in the village are very limited on Monday's and Tuesday's and no decent German food to be found.

The room, location, style of hotel, receptionist on our arrival was very friendly.

The breakfast staff was very rude, coffee was not good, otherwise ok but could do much better.

The fact that when we arrived the hotel denied having a record of our booking or of having received the monies I had paid to Booking.com. This was extremely annoying as the hotel was apparently full. The proprietor was very helpful and found us alternative accommodation for that night, drove us to and from a restaurant. In fact it turned out that there had been a cancellation for the remaining two nights of our stay and so we accepted a room at the Hotel Post (smaller than the one booked and paid for) rather than staying in the alternative one which was out of town and inconvenient because we had no car. So far, Booking.com have been unable to provide any explanation as to what has gone wrong and the hotel has not volunteered any compensation. The room we booked - according to the hotel's own website - was considerably larger and also more expensive than the one we in fact stayed in. Somebody is at fault and should own up - whether it is the hotel or Booking.com

Breakfast included with hot and cold options. Owner very helpful, staff friendly. Comfortable beds in large airy room. Great location, walking distance from station.

The location is great, it is right at the heart of the town, close to every thing you need.The hotel is very clean, their breakfast is excellent serve with the best quality of meat. The front desk is very helpful to find a transportation back to the airport.Overall we are very satisfied during our stay at Hotel Post Murnau

the lighting in the bedroom was a bit dark and it would have been great if there was a kettle in the room for a cuppa!

Though we were not greeted warmly in the morning, the appearance of the hotel manager in the afternoon made a huge difference. She's so kind and friendly, combining tradition with style in the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay.

Bread at breakfast was not of top quality. Service was not very hearty.

We have wonderful days in Murnau and thanks for the hotel stuff. Nice atmosphere of Bavaria and hospitality
