- you cannot beat the location! There is free parking in a secured garage across the street-it reads your license plate so make sure to send in registration ahead of time- they email it to you. Breakfast was delicious- we ordered eggs -the rest was buffet style. The room is very large with plenty of storage for your stuff. Everything was pretty clean, but there were some dark stains on the rug that we couldn't identify as well as some fluffs of dirt in the corners of the walls- nothing a good once over wouldn't fix. Easy walk to the train station- 7 stops later- you are in the heart of Munich
- Staff very friendly. Amazing location. Great Restaurant!
- The location was ideal at the top of the high street with an amazing view when you looked down towards the mountains. We visited for the Christmas market and again this hotel was in a great spot to access this. The restaurant for evening meals is great value and the food was awesome. There is a a garage which is great for leaving your car overnight whilst you are staying in the hotel but there us a but.
Cons -
- The bed. It was quite hard- but that seems to be the style in Germany. We did notice that the linens were very old and yellowed- Considering how much we paid for three nights- I feel like they should update their linens- it's a simple thing and can make so much of a difference. Breakfast felt a little chaotic- everyone was very kind, but one day they seated us, the next day it was a free for all- I had to seek someone out to ask for eggs, when the next day they came to the table. It was clear other diners weren't aware of the eggs...
- I didn't think the hotel was good value for money and I didn't appreciate finding out on check out there was a charge for the dog. I messaged the hotel before coming to say i was travelling with a dog and there was no mention of any charges. Breakfast was limited, no-one greeted us or offered us an alternate to what was out already. We asked if we could leave our car for an extra hour whilst we visited the Christmas Market and was told no as other guests would be arriving, this was 11am in the morning and there were loads of spaces in the parking garage.A little more flexibility and communication would be beneficial 166 euros for a night is a lot of money with no real bonuses to go with it.One bottle of water in the fridge is a little tight as well.
- The WiFi could have been better

Great location, lovely breakfast and super being in a brewery, with a great beer garden
The WiFi could have been better
Location is good and beer is excellent
Breakfast is very basic for the price .
Nice location and nicely renovated room
Very hot in the room with no AC - too hot during the night.
Easy access, good garage, quick check in, superb breakfast, personal touch and service
The room was large; it was very quiet due to its location on the second floor in the backyard; the lack of a lift was announced;(free) parking worked reasonably, when you arrived early enough;breakfast buffet was very good and diverse;
The room was rather dark due to the smallness of the window; The shower door did not close tightly; There were unexpected rapid fluctuations in the water pressure and temperature.
Large, bright, well-presented breakfasting rooms with a wide choice of items. Excellent service from staff. Having stayed at the Griesbräu four times, I've stayed in different rooms in the main hotel and in their additional accommodation directly across the road - all have been excellent.Reception staff efficient and knowledgeable; service in the indoor bar and restaurant and in the large exterior courtyard always prompt and helpful; room service staff excellent; in all the Griesbräu staff are a great team. The location is ideal for travellers and holiday-makers: right in the heart of Murnau and a very short walk to surrounding parks, the lake and its 'steamships', cafes, shops, the museums, art-galleries, restaurants etc. Also a short walk to the rail station which is convenient for those wanting to explore the many other nearby alpine towns, villages and sights. All in all, a first class hotel in a great location.
Nothing. Alles sehr gut. Already planning to return next summer.
About 15 minutes walking from the main station but very convenient for the town centre. Friendly and helpful staff at reception. Brightly decorated, good sized room with good storage space. Spacious bathroom with good storage space and easy to access shower with good pressure and temperature. Excellent buffet breakfast with good selection of cereals, fruit, yogurt, breads, cheese and meats in a spacious breakfast room.
External window blinds couldn't darken the room sufficiently. Two mirrors in the bathroom but none in the main room. The pendant lamp above the armchair in the corner was too low and I knocked my head on it a number of times
great location, very nice rooms, excellent restaurant on premises
the breakfast buffet was amazing. the shower of the room was beautiful. the room is very big and has a lot of space.
It is close to the city farmers market. Lots of small retail shops as well as food stalls. Easy walking to the train station ( 9-10 minutes). I discovered 3 ways from the hotel. The breakfast is Continental cold cuts and fruits and the only warm food is the hard boil egg or coffee/tea.
They were doing construction on the hotel and the heavy equipment is right outside my window. Good thing I am an early riser as the crew starts getting ready around 7 am. Also I had plans early morning and was gone till late evening. The front desk receptionist on Wednesday 2 pm must had a bad day as she was rather rude when I told her I had problem with the key to enter the outside entrance by the stairs. She said to turn the key to the right to open. Like I don't know.?I discovered that I need to pull the door handle towards myself and also turn the key to unlock. The door is probably slightly misaligned, thus causing the key lock to jam.
Staff not only helpful but friendly !Size of the room , excellent bathroom and shower Quiet room but all Murnau is quietBreakfast complete and fresh ( except coffee not strong enough ) Good parking facilities
View on outside parking with buses just under our window Bed not firm enough , as well as pillow Bedsheet too warm price of the room a little bit too pricey ( by 20 % )
The perfect location for a visit to Bavaria. Staff were all very pleasant, my room was spotlessly clean and breakfast, although quite basic choices, was delicious. coffee was strong and hot!
I really loved the big bedroom , everything was super clean !! the room had a good temperature and silent fast answered from the reception the quality of the breakfast
10 ++ New room. Clean room New Bathroom. Just wonderful stay. Great food for dinner and GREAT beer. Parking very close to room. Good WiFi. Great breakfast... GREAT!! Quiet room, just a great stay.
An elevator would have been nice. They charged me twice and it was not easy to get straighten out once back to the USA.
The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was excellent, the room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The location on the main street of Murnau is great. They also have a private brewery with exceptional Bavarian beer, I highly recommend it!
The Internet connection was poor. It was very difficult to get a stable connection every day between 18h-22h. I think one may expect more nowadays, especially in western Europe.
Excellent beer and food and friendly staff
The only problem is the car park is a bit remote and may be a pblem for some guests. Not us !

Bedding too thick
