    Pros +

    • Our view from our balcony at Hotel Seerose was gorgeous. Breakfast was fresh, varied & delicious. The bed was comfortable. Staff was very helpful.
    • Good location of the hotel.
    • Rosie and staff were amazing very friendly and very helpful. Wonderful location to walk into town at day trip all throughout the Salzkammergut.

    Cons -

    • Poor communication with the hotel (I asked by email about disabled parking in front of the hotel, but I didn't get a response. When we arrived at the location, I understood why. Parking in front of the hotel was not possible because it is limited to a few spaces.) There was also a problem with communication with the waiter at breakfast, who, without any explanation, moved us to another very small table in another room. The behavior of the staff made our stay unpleasant. The room equipment is outdated, but sufficient. This was the fourth hotel on our trip through the Austrian Alps. All the hotels were great, with nice staff, but this one was a fail.

Friendly staff, excellent location, good breakfast, easy access to the train/ boat departure points, would recommend

If you come with your car... parking can be an issue

Fantastic location near the lake.I also enjoyed the simple and comfortable room - it had everything I needed.

The only thing that was missing was access to a kettle or jug so I could make a cup of tea.

+Great location: the lake is just opposite the street. +Room was ok sizewise.+Decent internet for remote work.+-Shared fridge outside the room.+-Towels were a bit rough.+-They have parking spots for guests but these are limited and must be reserved. There is a paid public car park 100m away.

-Oldish.-Sofa bed was inconfortable (one must sleep in the middle of 2 mattresses).

    9KatalinPosted on: 8-21-2024

Nice sized room, well equipped, comfortable beds, 2 balconies (had partial lake view only though).

Only hotels directly on the lakeside has beach access in St Wolfgang, this hotel is on the other side of the road so no beach nearby. Very small and not smart TV. We were on the 3rd floor with no elevator. We had to park in the public parking area close to the hotel (4EUR/day, only coins accepted and 24hr ticket only), didn't get clear answer who gets the limited parking spots at the hotel. No A/C in the room.

    Great location, very kind staffs

The room cleaning in this hotel starts before 8am everyday…the first day the cleaning staff just opened our door to try to clean the room while we were still sleeping( 3 times?). The following two days we put on the No-disturb sign. Unfortunately, we heard them cleaning/vacuuming from 7am again…

There’s a public entry to the lake right around the corner. The balcony was spacious and the room was clean.

Even though we arrived at 8 pm, there was no one around anymore to check us in and our key was up for grabs in the lobby without anyone there. There was no shampoo provided. The fridge that was advertised turned out to be communal.

The location is fantastic. If you receive the room type that you booked, the room is decent.

We booked 3 rooms. The hotel insisted on giving us a downgraded room for one of the guests and kept stating that it was a single room and only one person was in the room. The single room was not what was booked or paid for. It was very small and was equivalent to a dormitory room. There wasn’t even a shower, just a bathtub with a handheld wand. However, they upgraded the other single person’s room to include a balcony. They wouldn’t compensate for the difference in the quality of the rooms and felt the upgrade to one room offset and justified the downgrade to the other. A complimentary upgrade for one guest is nice but it doesn’t change the fact that another guest paid for a different room type and had a very uncomfortable stay. I’ve attached photos of the room types we booked (from the website) and photos of what we received. You can clearly see the price difference in the rooms. We booked and prepaid for 2 Standard Double Rooms and 1 Triple room but received 1 Single room with Bathroom , 1 Standard double room with balcony and 1 Triple room. We tried talking to hotel staff at check in and at checkout. Both times we were met with rudeness and told “you had a single person and received a single room” and “ your group wanted to be close together”. Two rooms were close but the other was on a different floor. And, as mentioned before, we paid for TWO Standard Double rooms. There is a price difference between the Standard Double room and the Standard Single room.

Breakfast was good location was good - easy access to the shops , bus stop etc- room was fine. Very hospitable owner- went out of the way to help us and make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

We have had no issues here - no comment

Location was ideal. Close to town restaurants and bars. Rooms were clean, breakfast was lovely and staff was pleasant.

No flyscreens, but surprisingly we didn’t get bitten by mosquitos.

Close to the lake and city centre.

Rude waiter at the breakfast- coffee is almost not drinkable. Yes, I know it’s filter coffee. Communication with the Hotel staff via booking was ridiculous. No welcome, thank you etc. just “ok”, “yes” etc. as answers.

breakfast was very good, every day the same but menu was rich. Hotel has attractive situation - near the historic centre

There is not parking place for all hotel guest in hotels court. We must to park in public parking - it was 150 m far, it costs 4 - 6 E/day.

Wonderful location overlooking the spectacular Wolfgangsee and with a short walk to town and easy access to walking trails.

A bit Spartan: no lounge or elevator.
