    Pros +

    • The beauty and relaxed elegance of this villa was fantastic, visual pleasure everywhere. The grounds are exciting with secret alcoves and surprises at many turns. The restaurant was wonderful, we ate there twice. we took the free shuttle on market day and enjoyed an easy walk back along the lake.
    • The staff were very friendly and helpful - including the ownerThe location on the lake is fantasticThe quality of food is very good indeedLots of room to relax on recliners and all around the hotel
    • wonderful location very friendly staff everywhre, excellent amenities , many different corners. seatings, private beach and great food (and great bfast buffet)

    Cons -

    • Room was nice, just not as nice as the rest of the property.
    • The room was very near the road and entrance to the hotel and hence traffic was noisy - next time we know which rooms to take and avoid.
    • Air conditioning could have worked a lot better

Staff friendly and helpful. Magnificent location with stunning views. Bed very comfortable.

Noisy. Junior suite, the living room was uncomfortable and small. I would been better with a bigger room and it would have been cheaper. Breakfast 7-11. At 10:00 there was very little left. At 9:30 the hot food was cold …. Everything is geared up for the germans. Italian and German press and tv channels in abundance. The rest only news channels. The hotel is close to Switzerland so why not provide Swiss channels (French, italian and german) and the possibility to have the original english version of numerous programs thus catering for a larger population. Frankly I was disappointed!

The staff were amazing and helpful. The restaurant was great and the breakfast too. The restaurant has a great view on the lake. Their garden is also nice for a nice walk and to chill.

We were at level one and the people on top were noisy. I could not sleep easily.

Warm welcome and support by the Staff. Hotel and its surroundings combines great style and design with good or very good quality. Attention to details. Good soundproofing of windows. One of the most gorgeous breakfast you find in the hotels

    Rooms are quite small.

Outstanding experience, from the breakfast, facilities and the staff. Highly recommend to stay here when visiting Lago Maggiore.

    8TravellerPosted on: 8-16-2023

Excellent location on the lake; high standard throughout; nightingale walk around; breakfast and jacuzzi

No real access to the lake for bathing which is a shame. No real pool. Instead of only focussing on mooring places they should have an island to allow guest to go for a swimming in the lake (as also no pool)

    1HebahPosted on: 8-10-2023

Beautiful views of the lake and direct access to the water.

Unbearable smell of sewage in our room. A staff member came confirmed it was revolting and turned the ac down to it’s coldest setting. This helped ease the smell however it was never gone. So we had the option of either a freezing cold room with a light smell of sewage or a temperate room with the unbearable smell of sewage ?‘The gym’ was an outdoor balcony with a couple of rudimentary machines (no treadmill, bike, weights, rowing machine- absolutely nothing you would expect to see in a gym). However, we did meet a resident snake on the one occasion we went to check it out.Main restaurant was outstandingly pretentious, serving up overpriced poorly executed food. We had the steak with foie Gras… (a teaspoon of foie Gras arrived) served with some veg. We didn’t eat there again it was dreadful although the wine was good.

This is one of those places you stumble upon every few years that completely blows you away. I stayed for 4 nights with my fionce, and we barely left the grounds. The views from the private grounds out along the length of Maggiore are simply breathtaking. The service was excellent, the restaurant was delicious, and it was all very reasonably priced considering what you are getting. I expect we will be coming back here many times.

The situation, staff, premises, coast line, breakfast, view, food.

Rooms small and a bit cramped.

    10RayPosted on: 7-27-2023

The location and view and food are sensational...

The local traffiic, but that was is beyond their control.

    10VladPosted on: 7-21-2023

The location is stuning, you can relax in every corner of this awesome place, be it in the restaurant, private beach, jacuzzi, sauna, or the excelent private event terrace and hall with a awesome view of Lake Magiore, the staff is absolutely great and attentive, very in tune with your needs, making things really easy and make you feel like home. The small details make a difference, from all the branded items, to the room cleaning service. Room service not only changed our towels in the morning, but refilled the Nespresso caps for the coffee machine you have in the room, changed the used coffee cups, cleaned the room, even whiped the shower cabin clean, absolutely great service, excelent job there. The restaurant was a great experience, the food was really delicious and the staff was very aware of your needs. The breakfast was great, a lot to choose from.We booked just for one night, but everything there made us book the next night as well.We where amazed that this location didn’t get a 5 star rating, since the way they present things is way above a 4 star hotel.Nothing much not to like here really.

Because the building is of an old design there is no elevator, so carying the luggage to the room is a bit hard, the staff there does help you if needed. The parking lot is to small for all the guests that are usualy there, so parking might be a problem, but they do offer some solutions to this issue, maybe not ideal but it works out fine in the end.
