    Pros +

    • The location was nice and the late check in process was smooth.
    • The facilities on this hotel are excellent; super clean, organized and in top shape. The staff is very accommodating, responsive and helpful. I will stay here again. This was a great pick, closing distance from train station , you could either walk.
    • Easy 24/7 check-in. Close enough to the train station.

    Cons -

    • Despite being advertised as a non-smoking room, the room smelled horribly of smoke and was disgusting. The woman at check out was kind and indicated she would inquire about a discount. When I followed up by email, the response was very rude.
    • Although I wasn’t woken up by it myself, I was told that helicopters could be heard throughout the night due to the proximity of the hospital. Oh well, what can you do. Also, the 24/7 cafeteria doesn’t take card payments, but that didn’t really matter for my stay.
    • A little bit of a walk from public transportation.

Great hotel, clan, the room was spacious, the cafeteria was great since you could have microwave. Be aware that the location is 15 min walking from the station, and there a bit up hill parts, but nothing impossible to do. One more thing, the bed was very comfortable!

Great breakfast, very quiet and comfortable.

A little bit of a walk from public transportation.

    Nice staff.

This hotel has virtually no sound proof between rooms. When someone in neighboring room was taking a shower it was like showering in your own sleeping bed.I've requested only two things: parking (kindly provided) and a quiet room (not provided but highly appreciated in my long trip).

    10MargannPosted on: 8-29-2025

    Kind staff—comfortable beds, clean

Bit of a climb to get there?

    8ChristopherPosted on: 8-4-2025

A clean, quiet basic room up on the hill in Visp. It is any easy walk into a cute town and not too long of a train ride to the matterhorn. Lots of space to work outside the room and a friendly and helpful staff.

I misread the booking. There was no AC. The room was hot, but I was also there during a heatwave.

The location was in a quiet town. Free parking and close to amenities. We really like one large room for our family and everything was very clean

The receptionist at the front desk was very helpful and kind. We had to leave very early the next day and she even called us a taxi ahead of time to be there when we needed to leave. The room was lovely and the view out the back balcony was amazing.

The people were very nice and the family room was large

This is a religious retreat center that lets rooms similar to a hostel. I didn’t realize this before booking. The religious elements were everywhere. The distance from the train station is not insignificant. I wish we had taken the bus. Obviously nothing they could have changed, just feel like these details are missing on booking’s description of the spot.

Good place and good value. Note that the rooms have no AC, no kettle or a way to make hot water for tea or coffee. There is a for pay coffee machine available for anyone to use in the center kitchen.Wi-Fi was good and stable.Rooms are fairly dated, but clean, basic, and functional.

The hotel was easy to locate, the staff was very nice and accommodating, the room was quite confortable, and the hotel was calm.

I didn't realize it was such an overtly Christian establishment. It personally didn't bother me—I didn't felt like they were pushing it down my throat—but I could see how it could make some people unconfortable.

    Staff friendly

Very basic , dated and religious

Excellent accommodation for a group of friends at the end of a ski mountaineering trip. The room had plenty of room to reorganise our kit.

No baggage storage for when you are not staying at the hotel.

Good location 10 minutes from station walkable. Nice view of sourounding mountains. Staff very friendly allways spoke.cleaner came in every day.

No fridge in room or television. KEPT ON BANGING head on the shelf obove bed poor location for this.

Excellent location, very clean, lovely staff

Everything was as described and advertised, so nothing to be unhappy about.

    10NataliaPosted on: 2-22-2025

The building and room is really clean and spacious! It has its own parking, no extra charge.

As Visp is very small, so the hotel is a walkable distance from the center and the railway station (approximately 10-15 minutes). For me the location was perfect (just next to the Visp Hospital). It also has a nice view of the mountains, which I enjoyed especially during breakfast through the big windows. The breakfast itself had everything I needed for my stay and the ingredients were of high quality (especially bread and cheese), coffee was delicious as well. I liked that there is a common area with a microwave, a kettle and so on - so if you need to heat your own meal, there's such an option as well. The bed was very comfortable! I also want to thank the staff who was very helpful with changes to my stay - I really appreciate it.One thing to keep in mind (which was not a problem for me at all as I wanted to be near the hospital) - the hotel is straight across the hospital and the helicopter was landing on hospital's roof a few times a day. The windows reduce the noise very well though so it was not the issue for me.

I liked the hotel and honestly think price-quality ratio here is very good. Maybe one piece of feedback would be some warm options for the breakfast (like sausage or omlette) and more vegetables. Other than that - all great.

Everything was good, clean rooms friendly reception.

There could be more variety in the breakfast buffet.
