Catrina Lodge

The location was walkable from the nearest railway station. It is set back from the main road and although there is some traffic, mainly during the day, we did not find it a problem. From the hotel we went on walks uphill or into Disentis. Although the hot food at breakfast was I think limited to boiled eggs, the available coffee, and cold meat, cheese, bread, cereal etc. was first class! Therefore I am glad we paid for the bed&breakfast room rate. You can also eat lunch or dinner in the hotel, rather than walking into Disentis.

The room size was a little small. If there was a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities it would be better.

Quite a small room

The setting for the hotel was lovely. There was plenty of scenery all around. We enjoyed exploring the area. The Disentis Abbey is a must see!The included breakfast was wonderful and the breakfast room very welcoming.

Some of the staff were smoking and there was a strong smell of smoke inside the hotel.Our room was a little tired looking, but this was reflected in the price and the room itself was comfortable enough.

Overall the place was excellent with great breakfast.

It was really strange the concept with the bath. But the lodge is in great location especially for winter.

Beds were decently comfortable and we slept well, staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Nice TV with many channels.

Scratchy pillows and duvet. Incredibly pricey food in the restaurant and whole area. No room to sit in the bathroom hardly, very tiny

Location is good, the room is comfy, it was quite clean, spacious parking

the sink not in the bathroom but in the room? selection for breakfast could be better (omelette, hot dog, bacon?) and if you come to breakfast after 8:30 you might end up hungry although it should be served until 10 I think?

Stunning scenery, comfortable bed, food in the restaurant was perfect.

The sole staff member I met seemed to be overworked but did a great job.

Great location, the view and terrace were magnificent.The staff is very accommodating and kind, especially our Hungarian.Very clean.The breakfast was excellent.We will definitely come back again.

There is no fridge in the room

The staff were very helpful and kind. Great breakfast and nice coffee. This was our best stay during our 6 days Switzerland holiday. Thank you for everything.

The bed could be more comfortable.

The beds we comfortably. We were able to launder our clothes (extra charge). The food was OK. Most of the staff were helpful and polite.

The rooms were very basic. Some members of staff were rude and made us feel like we were a burden rather than guests. For example, during breakfast, I walked across a mopped floor, and a member of staff raised her voice to me. We were not made to feel welcome. I would not stay here again.

Beautiful location and views, cozy room and nice breakfast

Staff were exceptionally welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The lodge had a rustic, wooden warmth which told a charming story. Views of the Alps and Swiss countryside were breath-taking. Breakfast was delicious - continental. Evening restaurant was extraordinary - included some amazing traditional/ local food. Thank you for making our holiday so brilliant!

Beautiful location

Lack of power points. No extra facilities in the Rio

Breakfast was varied and plenty on offer. We were cycling Rhine cycle route and hotel had bike room with power. Reception staff lent us Swiss adapters, as ours did not have correct pins.

It was all good. Nothing negative

The big soft bed was amazing. The staff were happy and friendly and the facilities warm and comfortable.

There was nothing to complain about.

The location was amazing. Free parking. Ski room outside was very handy, it had key card lock. View was incredible.

The room instantly had a mildew smell when we arrived. The carpet definitely needs to be changed out. The staff was not available during check in or check out to give us more information. No air conditioning which is typical but heat got quite unbearable at night. Single pillow was very uncomfortable.

Beautiful lodge with an even more beautiful view. Staff were friendly and committed to ensuring we had everything we needed.
