Pros +
- Room size and view
- Really big suite, good location, easy parking.
- As I wasn’t skiing I was pleased that I could use the whirlpool in the next block!! Armchairs in room very comfy. It would have been nice to have an English speaking TV station besides BBC news - but understand I am in the middle of Switzerland.
Cons -
- Bathroom a bit outdated
- Paying for the suite to have the breakfast lady rudely asking “who are you” in German of course. If you’re running a hotel maybe try to train your staff not to be racist?
- My only complaint would be that the room was slightly too hot and we had to sleep with the window open. That brought it's own charm though as we could hear the river at night.

Loved the location, the hotel team was outstanding, the restaurant was amazing and the family room was massive. After 7pm the whole town gets very calm and quiet and it was like heaven on earth.

Room, location, staff, food they were all great!
The hotel is very spacious (we booked a suite and had plenty of space for a family). The room even included small kitchen that was unexpected nice surprise. The location is great for winter activities, near the gondola cable car and small ski area for kids is few minutes walk away. The nearest bus stop is just a few minutes walk and free bus takes you to the village for free. Even though in the St. Catrina area you have everything you need- supermarket, leisure sports centre with cafe, sports shop with rental.
We loved our stay and definitely come back. The only very minor disappointment was the breakfast, it was very basic and after a week you would have eaten all the options, also I was surprised with lots of items on the buffet being individually packed, something you don’t see that often anymore as more hotels focus on sustainability.
Nice stay. Close to the lift. Easy to ski to when there is snow.
The breakfast was ok but it could have been a bit better. More hot options, eggs etc.
The view from the room, the spacious suite, the cleanless.
Only having one proper bed and one sofabed, instead of two proper beds to fit us a couple and my 8 y.o. kid.
I enjoyed the spacious room. Felt less like an hotel because of it. The overall of the room is modern, though the bathroom is still a bit older, though very usable. I was on a motorcycle trip when i stayed and happy to have been able to park it in their garage.
There is some noice from people walking above you because of the tile flooring. But it died down after 22:30
Very good location in the mountains, the room is clean and very comfortable. The buffet breakfast offers some options, I would suggest some omlette, not only boiled eggs. The hotel has also a restaurant and a bar. If you arrive by train from Andermatt, you can get down at Acla da Fontauna station, just before Disentis, it's much closer than Disentis. I have also received a message from the hotel that they can provide free transfer from train station, but didn't require it since Acla da Funtauna is 8 minutes walking distance.I looked for this information, the breakfast time is from 7:30-10:30.
The breakfast could be improved a bit with more hot food.
Bed was comfortable, under cover parking, friendly staff, good facilities
Breakfast was not great - could have been more options. Tv could be bigger and newer
Fantastic location. Great views. Modern clean and very comfortable.
Pool was great but hard to find! Restaurant very expensive but, hey, it's Switzerland! Supplied tea in room but not coffee.
- very spacious rooms- comfy beds- good water pressure in shower- resort has everything you need
A few suggestions for management but nothing major: 1. Underfloor heating is great but does not need to be on so high at night. Our whole group (3 rooms, different floors) had to sleep with the windows open else the room was hot and stuffy. It just seems like wasted energy bills for you. 2. The breakfast is reasonable but for 250/night I would expect a bit more e.g. offering freshly made egg dishes 3. It’s fantastic to get spa access with the room but I think a robe in addition to the sauna towel would be a nice touch. Perhaps even washable/reusable slippers4. The spa area needs to be manned - the swimming pool/hydro pool area is chaos. There were lots of kids and I saw at least 3 children slip and fall on water around the pool and I was only there for 20 mins. In general there needs to be some sort of mats/ water management because the floors throughout the spa are just covered in pools of water and it makes it dangerous and anything but relaxing.
As was expected from a much-used hotel in a popular skiing resort.
Hotel is ageing and could do with a bit of tender love and care. Breakfast was a bit basic, but then there were not many guests staying at the time, so perhaps spreads are better during the season. Horrible pillows.
Everything honestly - room, breakfast, shower, internet, parking, staff, location, bed, design
Mosquitoes.. Was a bit hot when I arrived so windows had to be opened.. Window nets would have made this place a 10.
Although the hotel does not look the newest from the outside, the room was very spacious, modernly furnished and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The location of the hotel at the end of the city brings the required peace of mind for sleeping. The breakfast was very good. The service was very attentive and the check-in was lightning fast. You can have an excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant.Parking was convenient and there were plenty of places.
A large and comfortable room with a stunning view from the balcony.A beautiful and peaceful location.Friendly staff
Its a "sports friendly" place, so the place has ceramic tile flooring. This transfers a bit more noise from other guests.
Wonderful views, good breakfast, very clean and comfortable.
The breakfasts were really good. There was a good spread of food available. I dined at the restaurant on my first night and the food was really good. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. I was there on a motorcycle and Disentis is centrally located to do most of the spectacular mountain passes like Furka and Grimsel.
My room was modern and a good size, also very clean. Being on an upper floor and the Hotel being off the main road it was quiet. My evening meals taken at the Bar didn't meet my expectations especially at the prices charged (but this is Switzerland!)
