Hotel Sursee

Before booking online I went inside to ask for a room and the lady at the desk was very rude and said it was completely impossible for a room and didn’t even check the computer. I had went online and booked the room when we came in and settled for breakfast time the same lady looked at me confused,shocked,embarrassed and asked for my room number (she didn’t not ask anyone else’s). Everyone else was very nice. The soap bottles in the bathroom were empty and asked for new ones but never received them. The room also had no A/C so it was very hot and muggy. They had a fan that just blew air not cold or hot.

I liked how the staff was kind and helpful. I liked how they put a second floor with a bed which added more places to sleep. Breakfast was good and the beds are very comfortable. 10 minutes from train station walking and there is also a bakery/restaurant which is called bachmann and is located in a mini mall right in front of the hotel to the left. There is also a small center with restraunts and other things to the right.

I think it would have been better if there were a mini fridge in the hotel room

It was farther from the lake than I expected (but convenient to the center of town.) The rooms could have been more soundproof.

The staff were extra friendly and helpful. That drinks and snacks are available for free at all times, was exceptional. The room was clean and spacious.

There didn't seem to be air conditioning and I couldn't get the safe to work.

Rooms are huge! Free tea/coffee and snacks at any time of day. Very helpful staff

A row of rooms in the restaurant area is a bit uncomfortable.

The location is perfect and it is quietThe room was awesome for our party. The free parking is a must and the breakfast is amazing!(even salmon, scrambled eggs, doughnuts and very nice cheese and meat)The self check is convenient, however one of our card did not function to open the main door and the other one did not open our room and had to recreate one. Free of charge though. Thanks for everything!

Great location with convenient parking. Very friendly staff and delicious breakfast.

The heat wasn’t on when we got to the property. It took about 24 hours before the room warmed up to a comfortable temperature.

Good location, private underground parking, rich offering for breakfast.

Cleanliness was poor in the bathroom, the beds at the high floor in the room were really uncomfortable - the stairs to reach the high floor had no handrail and one could fall for more than 2 meters, very dangerous.

Breakfast was a disaster Almost no food available anymore at 9 o’clock The first answer of the waiter was that we were too late When we gave feedback at the reception the answer was that there was a group before us

It was too hot and no air-con!

Breakfast was basic but fine. Rooms were spacious and clean. Close to the highway so when travelling to Italy it is a good stop-over. Good and free parking underground.

No airco, while it had been 30 degrees all day, so the room was hot at night. A very large group was also staying the same night in the hotel, as of 6am they were making a lot of noise, talking loud outside there rooms. This was very disturbing. The lobby was not serviced from 8PM, untill the next morning, so no one there to supervise the situation.

Decent hotel for a short stay, nothing to fancy but overall good.Staff is friendly.

Interior decoration is a bit simple

The room was clean and there was a ceiling fan, which helped to keep the unusually hot weather in bay. The staff was really kind, considerate and accomodating. Hats off to them! The breakfast was really good, there was a good selection food: countless type of breads; buns, mueslis, croissant, fruit drinks, scrambled eggs, bacons, cheeses ...etc.Free coffe for the whole day, cleaned water (carbonated or pure), a common freezer.Free parking under the hotel (you should get a permit card from the reception). All in all, it was a nice place to stay.The street was quiet, it was easy to sleep at night with opened window.

There was no air conditioning in the rooms (the ceiling fan was OK, but A\C would be better for these hot days).

Staff was very helpful. We arrived late (>8pm) and they made a digital key available which gave us a smooth entrance to the hotel and the room

Perfect location, close to the highway and old town, and a wonderful hotel. The room and bed were clean and comfortable, and the staff were responsive and friendly. The breakfast was a plus; you will definitely find what you need. coffee machine and tea are available throughout your entire stay, no matter the hour. We really enjoyed the place and will definitely return on our next trip to Sursee, Switzerland. This hotel deserves several stars.

Excellent location within Sursee, though the route to get to it was tortuous. Very good underground parking, lovely friendly receptionist, clean room, a couple of English channels on the TV, a free tea/coffee machine nearby, and a generous cold buffet breakfast including Bircher muesli (and scrambled egg as the one warm item). Good shower.

The bed was so-so at best. The mattress shifted on the base so at one point I nearly slipped off it getting into bed, the duvet was oddly folded and the pillow was not very comfortable. It wasn't as bad as I have maybe made it sound, but it was a slight negative.
