Pros +
- We've been here many times now and this Hotel never failed , location is good as it is few minutes drive away from the airport ,even if it's located at the other side of Olbia , everything you'll need is local ( shopping , restaurants , etc ) and the staff at the Hotel is just amazingly friendly . Breakfast was spot on , plenty of choices as always .
- Augostino, who worked at reception, was exceptional. He was attentive, professional, and eager to solve any issues or requests we had.
- Location, comfortable bed.
Cons -
- Nothing really , Bathroom might need a refurb at some point , but it does the job without issues
- Our room was located in the ground floor, at the back of hotel. The guttet from the roof was placed next to our entrance. Our view from the front door - priceless, directly into breakfast eating area. The pictures of the listing are showing different view from a nice balcony. The biggest problem was that the room had so strong chlorine odour when we arrived, that it was barely possible to breathe inside. I went and asked them if we can get another room, it wasn’t possible since hotel was full. They told me to open the windows, but our family room only had one small window about 40cmx40cm. So we had to leave our front door open for two hours to catch some fresh air. In the bathroom sink was cloged and I had to repair it prior the use since there was noone at the reception when I went there to ask for help. Also unpleasant odour was felt from the bathroom opening on the floor, we had to cover it with a towel.Bunk bed for childreen wasn’t properly fixed and didn’t look like it can offer a safe sleep.Fridge is so small that you can only put 2 bottles of watter inside.Next to the hotel quite a few full garbage bags were laying next to “too small” garbage bins.A rare positive is very friendy staff.Very dissapointed. And the worst review I ever gave, I am not a demanding customer.
- We liked everything, could improve with better facilities but fully met our expectations, we were very happy with our stay.

Staff were brilliant, comfortable but somewhat basic room, great value.

Good
No parking space, uncomfortable bed . Ground floor rooms are not private and safe as someone came to knock on our door in the middle of the night.
The room as OK. Enough space for the family, beds OK but the washroom was a bit too compact. We didn't get breakfast in the hotel. Location was not perfect as we had to drive to get to downtown.
No remote for TV and could not give me a replacement. Plus dirty floors especially in the bathroom
Was just for 1 night and it served its purpose well. Room super clean and comfortable bed and pillows The gentleman on the check in was super nice and classy.
Rooms are outside faced to the street It didn’t offered much security as anybody could come upTo the floor of the rooms.
The hotel staff was very friendly and explained everything to us. We were escorted to our room and overall the service was the best we received out of the 3 hotels we visited on our week-long trip. The location was nice with a good restaurant right next to it and free parking at the side of the street. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast buffet with decent options of bread, fruits, desserts etc, nothing big but good enough. AC was really good and kept the room nice and cool. Free wi-fi was fast. Overall the room was clean and everything worked as intended. If I travelled to Olbia I would likely book from the City Hotel again at least at this price range.
The Tv unfortunately didn't have smart functions or apps like Netflix etc so if that's something you want from the room I suggest asking in advance whether the room has it.
The room did not meet my expectations, it is not look like it was presented on booking, the offered room was were poor and very old, and does not worth the price.
Everything regarding this room. The room was on the street , everything look very unpropriate and it is not for family for sure. It look very disappointed.
Hotel is outside center but easily connected by bus. It has a supermarket close by, lots of restaurants and coffee shops close also.Rooms were spacious, clean and beds were comfortable. Staff was extremely nice and fulfilled every request we had. I recommend paying extra for breakfast.
The first night we stayed it was kind of noisy, because of a bar close to the hotel.
Rather an "OUTSIDE-the-City" hotel with poor parking and mediocre facilities
Location: the hotel is far (10-15 min drive) from the City center.Parking: Despite of that, free public parking near the hotel is very limited, and I ended up parking in a no-parking space over night and had to move my car elsewhere at 7am to avoid a fine. Hotel parking is 10eur per day, but if you arrive when reception is closed like I did, you cannot access the hotel parking any more. It was very annoying given that I had specifically chosen a less central location to avoid parking issues.Calling the hotel "city hotel" is just ridiculous given the location. The staff (not even the cleaning lady!) knocked aggressively on the door several times 5min prior to check out time until I opened the door "to remind me about check out", and insisted that I check out on the exact minute of the time indicated - as if 5 min more or less made any difference...Facilities: nothing special really. The room hardly fitted the bed, the chair was super cheap, uncomfortable and too low to work on the desk, and the toilet paper holder was broken.
Bad
We spent one night in the hotel. We forgot our jacket in the closet. When we went back to get the jacket a few hours later, we were told it wasn't there and that it was our problem.
Average breakfast, at least croissants and bread were fresh. Sheets and towels were fresh. The bed was comfortable. Some of staff members were really nice. The only really good thing was that we could park motorcycles in garage (of course we had to pay 5 € per bike per night) so that they stayed dry when it was raining.
It is very weird to me that I don't find any comments on Booking for this hotel, so I am a little sceptic that my comment will even get out. But I found a lot of comments on other websites...I am sorry that I didn't saw them first. Anyway...I don't criticize easily. I really try to see the good things. But there were so few. I am really sorry to say this but no way this hotel has 4 stars. It looks like they bought apartments from people who used to live here and just left it as it is. They did little to no renovation. The furniture is well worn out and old. It shows too many traces of use. A lot of equipment was falling appart (toilet brush, shower, trash cans, cabinets...). I mean there is nothing wrong with turning old apartments into hotel but you have to renovate it a fair amount. Our room didn't look anything like on the pictures. I took a glimpse at another room in the ground floor and it was much nicer so I believe not all rooms are like ours. We were at second floor. The room also smelled like people used to smoke here. There was a small kitchen, don't really know why, but it was in pretty bad condition. I don't know...everything was so weird here. I usually stay in 3 stars or less hotels and all of them were on a much higher level than this "4" stars hotel. I wouldn't be so annoyed if the price would be fair. But 72 € per night in an off-season is much too much for such disappointment. If only they wouldn't promote 4 stars so much. It feels like a scam. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for anything else but for staying 1 night after ferry arrival.
Very friendly, easy check in- free parking. The location was great for airport. Nice dinner recommendation.
The room was old, not very clean. The hotel charge us turistic tax 3,5 eur/person that is more expensive than anywhere else. The breakfast was really good so it gave better impression.
Breakfast was good
Located at the Main street, there ist quite some noise,No international TV channels
We've been here for a few times now ( 1 nights stay only ) and we do appreciate the value and the location ( it's few minutes drive from the Airport ). Staff at the Hotel is always kind and helpful .
Hotel rooms , probably soon , will need a bathroom refurb and , even better , if the rooms could have a soundproof work done .
The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was good and excellent value.
Everything was fine and met our expectations.
Beautiful view. Clean room. Gracious staff. Excellent breakfast.
Street parking was sometimes difficult.
