Good location, pleasant staff, clean and tidy and a great bar.

There was considerable noise from quite early in the morning as guests checked out.

The staff, the location, the room, the fact we could eat breakfast lunch and dinner there plus drink at the bar. Lots of locals use the hotel to eat and drink

Background music or a radio in the breakfast room would have been nice

Bed was comfy. Bathroom was modern. Restaurant was lovely. Staff were friendly and patient (I don't speak French very well). Parking was easy. Location was central to our needs. Room temperature was fine even though we stayed in November.

Breakfast was minimal but sufficient. Some bedroom doors appeared to stick and so some guests appeared to have difficulty closing them and so they were quiet noisy, however it was very quiet after 10.30pm.

Great options and choice for breakfast. Friendly staff. Bar and Restaurant. Good location and parking (off season) was easy and 200m away.

A kettle in the room!

The receptionist, and bar person was very friendly, welcomed me with my bad French, with her great English and helped me with the storage of my bicycle. Hotels are rare on the EuroVelo3 (Scandiberique) in this region so I was glad of a clean and airy room with a comfortable bed, a fine vegetarian pizza in the hotel restaurant along with a comprehensive breakfast to prepare me for a 70ks ride to Chauvigny via EV3. Thanks for a great overnight stay ?? 5 stars

Door was difficult to open and close. The in room phone had a very bright light I confess to suffocating the phone with a pillow.

Nice restaurant with good food, service and prices. Large room and decent shower. The staff were friendly and helful. Good location

Dated room and bathroom, noise from bar down stairs

Good location, breakfast was not spectacular but definitely OK and very reasonable price. We stayed early Jan and rural towns like Confolens are not very lively at this period: that's why we like it.

The location is great if you want to experience the rural parts of France. The route is full great little towns and fantastic views. The staff are amazing. We requested a fan and and iron and they even ironed it for us. It’s a great place to stop by for a short night.

There is no air conditioning so the room can get really hot.

Location was excellent. I have stayed in Confolens before and this was a better hotel. It also had off road parking.

It was Bastille Day and we couldn't get a drink or meal at 10:30 each night although the town was packed.

Rooms, linen and bathroom were spotlessly clean.Good size bedroom. Well equipped bathroom.Lovely views over the river. Good central location. Parking outside on the road was pretty easy and free. Friendly staff made us feel welcome (although limited English speakers but that's half the fun of travelling). There's a bar that opens onto the street which was nice to sit outside and have a drink at.

No lift made if very difficult for my parents who are getting on and have some mobility issues. Forgot to check if it had a lift as just assumed it would have!Bathrooms were a bit small and cramped.Breakfast was a bit basic and the coffee (from the machine) wasn't great... the coffee from the bar the night before was excellent tho!

Not too much choice for breakfast, but location good. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent.

Just a nice place, good ambience and great location with easy parking.

It was great service with nice room quality! Staff went above and beyond to wait for us, as we couldn't arrive on time.

Good location by the river. Helpful staff, adequate parking right opposite. A very pleasant two night stay, would highly recommend.

i have to say there was nothing at this hotel I particularly liked,Dinner in the evening was reasonable. My main course came out cold but I complained and they re-heated with no particular issue.

It was a shabby little hotel in a pretty shabby town.The bedroom needed decorating and updating.bathroom was adequateThere was a bar facility which was good as there was nothing else open in this town.And to the lady who ran the restaurant I would say -Je ne parle peut-etre pas couramment mais au moins j'essaie. In English that translates to "I may not be fluent but at least I try!"I dont think they had a very good impression of English people.

Great location (two minutes’ walk from the main square), comfortable rooms, great view and free parking available a minute away.

The first room we were given was above the bar on the street side and was noisy. BUT the management happily rehoused us on the quiet side facing the river.

The bed was really comfortable and everything was clean. The hotel has a restaurant atrached which serves typical French food and the service there was friendly. My room was at the back, with a nice view of the river and bridge. I'm surprised it's only 2-star. It deserves more.

It was unusual that there was no tea/ coffee making facilities in the room. I expected that.
