    Pros +

    • Incredibly beautiful landscape and views. Loved the balcony and spending time looking at the coast. The rooms are stylish and the recent renovation matches the vibe of the location perfectly. Staff were friendly and helpful.
    • Fantastic swimming area with sea water pool and direct access to the sea.Restaurant staff were friendly and efficient.
    • Location excellent. Overlooking Mediterranean. Room overlooked sea. Food was excellent, thouroly enjoyed.

    Cons -

    • Some interesting choices were made with the recent reno. I'm guessing replacing the presence of a TV for an art piece and a radio is a deliberate choice (because a Tivoli radio these days is more expensive than a TV) but it felt kind of an imposition. This combined with the lack of a minibar/fridge in the room made it feel a bit basic/no frills, which for a 200 per night room in winter doesn't sound like great value. The lack of food room service in a place that advertises itself as a hotel restaurant was disappointing. The only room service in offer was a limited drinks menu, with crazy prices like a soda for 10 euros.
    • Car parking is a long way from the hotel and there is no parking outside making arrival and departure 'challenging' !'Sunshine' Bar - staff were surly bordering on rude.
    • Outdated decor.

Giens is a pleasant village near Hyères. We did not need to go far during our three day stay to enjoy the area. The hotel is very conveniently located close to bus, groceries, restaurants and a short walk to public beach. The private beach area, pool and tennis courts were excellent and very nice for our kids.Staff were very friendly and helpful.Rooms were comfortable with air conditioning and balcony so windows could be opened.Very affordable for an excellent hotel stay.

Had to pay extra for breakfast.

Beautiful decor, surroundings and lovely staff in every way!

We traded having ac for a sea view. Alas, you can't have everything. But with a terrace, it was the right choice. The pool is gorgeous as well as the surroundings. You have to make friends with a bit of rocky discomfort and difficulty to get in and out.

The location is amazingStaff is helpful

No fresh water for the guests in the hallVillage view rooms really small, no balcony, noisyPool closes too soonCleaning the pool Monday afternoon made us loose on out of three afternoons in the pool

Pool and grounds are lovely, nice breakfast. Wonderful view from room and terrace. Brasserie is good value

Looking shabby, bathroom lacks walk in shower, no air conditioning in bedroom

    Location, comfortable apartment, GIENS!

The most charming hotel set in the ideal location. The local village had a smattering of relaxed restaurants and the surrounding coastline and forest was beautiful. The hotel has private stretch of coast which was perfect to while away the hours. Helpful and friendly staff. The jazz night on Thursdays is a top night too

The hotel is a little dated but what it lacked in a lick of fresh paint it made up for in charm.

    10DamisPosted on: 8-8-2022

Location is perfect. Pool is beautiful. Great sundeck next to sea and pool. Lovely restaurants but make reservation in advance. Stayed in spacious apartment in close to sea, perfect but hot, hotel staff provided fans so was do-able.

location is amazingthe swimming area is great! the view from the room I was fantastic

the room is very tired. carpet at least 50 year old, the curtains had no colour, the floor of the bathroom seems dirty, stairs full of dust and carpet ripped, the wall paper very very old and stained,/ripped, the paint is all gone in doors and ceiling ….I had seen similar review and did not believe them…A bit of fresh paint, clean new curtain does seems necessary. not that difficult…what a shame yo leave such an amazing place in this state.

Beautiful location. Intimate place. Swimming pool and quasi Private beachPrivate parking

Room ( 136 ) has not been revamped for 30 years or so. Bed was not a proper large bed but twin beds combined. Room was exposed to the noise of the kitchen.Staff and management not welcoming and not inclined to accomodate spécific resquests. Terrasse inaccessible if you cannot book the luxury restaurant.
