Hôtel Saint Philibert

It was kind of them to allow us to lock our bicycles inside. The room was good. It was quiet.

I had the best stay, the owners are more then helpful and I will definitely be back, very clean great value for money.

Easy to get to and get away early morning - very helpful and pleasant staff member - lovely location.

Christine at the front desk was amazing, and even helped us straighten out our train ticket

The mattresses were very firm, and you could not use the shower without getting water all over the bathroom floor.

The area is lovely and worth a visit.

There was a bit of a funny smell so there may have been an issue with the drainage nearby. No Wifi as the service was not accessible. No gluten free breakfast option.

Lovely hotel in a charming town just off our main route through France. Very welcoming staff. Comfortable beds, exceptionally clean and modern bathroom.

A bit noisy just next to a train track so the window and shutters had to be closed. Absolutely fine for our single night enroute stop over but wouldn't of been good if we were staying longer. I'm fairly sure if that was the case we'd of been given a different room though.

Room was basic but clean and comfortable

It felt as though we were sleeping in the middle of a motorway! It was incredible noisy as very close to a hugely busy road. Hardly got any sleep.

This hotel is really well situated near the centre of Tournus - very close to the Must-See abbey, and to the town centre, which is well worth exploring. Parking is not on site, but just as good as, being just opposite the hotel. A comfortable room and bed, and a decent breakfast, with a welcoming and helpful host.

Very good quality-price ratio in Tournu. It was great to have my bike stored in a safe place. I very much enjoyed talking about cyclism with one of the owners - très gentil et sympa, merci pour ce joli moment !

The lady on the reception desk was extremely helpful and spoke English when my French failed me! Breakfast was simple but good value for money with a noticeably fresh croissant (not out of a packet!) Free parking across the road only meters from the premises, I'm not sure how that would go if the Hotel was full? However I got a spot to park, there was a train station only a minute walk from the hotel, I think that was free to park too. 10 out of 10!

I liked everything! There was nothing to dislike, the room was clean and comfortable with a good view, unfortunately onto a dual carriageway, but never-the-less, I had a very comfortable stay.

Perfect location for visiting the abbey.Ground floor room was handy and surprisingly quiet.Hostess was super nice.

Location was excellent for visiting the centre of Tournus. The rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Although no evening meals are offered, there was plenty to choose from nearby.

Breakfast was rather standard ie the usual baguette, croissant etc. All reasonable quality, though a bit uninspiring.

easy to find. free parking opposite. friendly & charming hosts. lovely town by the river. immaculately clean. lovely, cosy room. a warm, welcoming family hotel including a greeting from their dog & pusskin! a very short walk into the town for dinner. now have discovered tournus & cluny will definitely stay again.

Breakfast was lovely, breakfast room very comfortable. The hotel manager was so very helpful and friendly. And we thought Olwyn was wonderful bless her!

Zimmer waren sehr einfach aber sauber.

Our room was a smelled very bad like cigarettes. Traveling as a non- smoker with small kids that is hard to stand. I asked politely and defensive for a different room and was told I should open the window. That doesn’t help if the smell is in the fabrics (curtains, carpets, sheets) besides the 36degrees Celsius outside. No other room was possible. After our arrival we had announced to have breakfast at the hotel. 20min later we had changed our plans and told the hotel to cancel the breakfast. As a response I was told angrily that next time we should book somewhere else. Sure, we will!

staff. hotel reception was closed after 10 pm (we didn’t know), but we still could go in because of the friendly reception lady, who called us?
