Everything was perfect ?no complains .. The 90 year old owner has welcomed us very friendly and gave us a parking right behind the hotel .. Just perfect ..

The location was great. Unfortunately it was a little bit cold, so the heating needs to be on. Very helpful staff and easy to come and go. Close to the lift to take you to the old town.

We booked Albergo Nella via booking.com the same afternoon that we were going to stay there. Due to the extraordinary amount of traffic and traffic jams in and around Nice, we were significantly delayed. Called the hotel, which to our great surprise closed check-in at 19:00, and then rejected check-in after this time. So when we arrived there was no entry, even though we had paid in advance. Later, Albergo Nella also refused to refund money for an unused room. So a hotel without a customer focus, so find another place to stay!

Fantastic location, a step away from a lift to the old town// bus stop to Sanremo / Andora, very close to the beaches - both sandy and pebble. Breakfast is basic but satisfactory. The room is quite spacious and well cared for. The hosts are gracious, helpful and attentive.

On some days, there was an unpleasant smell of canalisation in the common stairway. But you could also take the elevator to minimise exposure to that.

Very welcoming owners. Close to great restaurants and beach.

Simply the price - it was a seriously low cost for any property in the area.

1) Difficult to find (just at the base of the funicular from the upper street level). They could have given me directions - Google Maps wasn't much use - I went around in circles for an hour.2) I was told of in no uncertain terms that latest check-in time was 1930 (new to me), instead of at least a basic welcome. I arrived at 2015. Not a pleasant welcome at all.3) Hot water lasted for 2 mins in the morning.4) One guest at "breakfast", no sign of any staff to at least give me a coffee. I went around the corner to an attractive cafe, with excellent coffee and croissants.5) No sign of any staff at checkout; I just left my keys and departed.6) Single radiator was working when I arrived, but it was cold in the morning.7) Make sure your room doesn't overlook the funicular - the noise can be annoying.

Disappointing

No service at all, asking for a coffee or information was too much asked for. No traditional meals at all, the reason I choose for this albergo. No wi-fi most of the time while the owner pretends I use the wrong password which is not the case. Balcony without qany privacy at all, half open elevator leading to the upper part of town passes from early morning till midnight. Not such nice smell coming from the toilet. Seat corner at entry looks completely uninviting.

It’s horrible: old and SO dirty! Old furnitures and textiles which are just collected from some where.

It was really the most horrible “hotel” I have ever been!! Don’t go there!
