Hotel is very near the beach (plage des dames) and tennis court are 5 mins away. Staff is lovely

No lift. Very basic hotel room

This was the best staff I have expereinced at any hotel in France -- they worked as a team and went above and beyond evey day, from moving my car for me, for fetching things I forget, and for providing smling, competnent service always -- reception, housekeepers, bar man, dining room -- all!

no a/c, but weather was cool when I was thereparking is a challenge, the hotel needs to acquire a nearby lot for hotel guests, as everyone comes with a vehicle!

Swimming pool needed repairing and some of the decor was dated

The grounds were very nice, and the room was a great size. It was on the top floor (no elevator). We knew this going in, so not having an elevator wasn't a problem for us. The breakfast was very good, and we would recommend it. The staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't use the pool, but we did go to see what it was like. It was fully enclosed when we were there, clean, plenty of lounge chairs and towels available and the temperature was comfortable (28 celsius). The garden area was pretty even though we were there after the blooming season had passed. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, the shower had good pressure, and everything was very clean. Although there was no on-site parking, it was easy to park along the road next to the hotel. We were not there during the high season, so this may not be the case when it is busy on the island.

The hotel is beginning to show its age, and could use a facelift. While things were kept clean, it would have benefitted from some of the trim and wood (bathroom door, in particular) could have been replaced. The shower was a walk-in, without a door, and the water had caused damage to the bottom of the door and the trim. The restaurant is open for dinner with a reservation. It is a little pricey (but that was expected), and the service was very good. But one of our meals was overcooked and dry, so that was a shame. There was also an occasional septic odor, which should probably be addressed. There is an area in back of the garden which appeared to be an old tennis court. This has obviously not been used in years, but would be an excellent on-site parking area for the hotel, without much work necessary to accomplish this. We feel they would benefit greatly from being able to provide this for customers, who (like we do) filter for lodging that does have parking available.

Fantastic staff , the bar staff especially...Close to the beach bars and restaurants at lunch time.

Brilliant location, lovely garden

The exceptional cleanliness of the hotel and the covered heated pool; the friendliness of the staff and the food served at breakfast and dinner which was first-class. The location was perfect for us and our golden retriever couldn't believe his luck once he discovered that the Atlantic was just a few hundred yards away through a delightful pine forest.

The mosquitoes, which were only to be expected given its location. Next time we will be prepared.

The heated pool is great. Staff were extremely helpful. They have a deal with bike hire company where bikes are delivered and picked up - that was great!

It’s friendly and small with a very nice pool, a short walk through forested roads to the beach.

I was sorry they’d moved the breakfast from the main gardens to a smaller courtyard. That had been a highlight.

charming heritage property with family rooms, in a very pretty part of noirmoutier. exceptional breakfast, very pleasant staff, would definitely return.

a little far to walk into the centre of noirmoutier for dinner, and slightly unreliable WiFi, slightly tricky parking, but wonderful apart from that.

Some elements are a bit dated. Swimming pool was very murky, seemed as if the water had not been cleaned

The hotel breakfast was brilliant as was the hotel restaurant. We sat outside in the back garden in the evening and the food was superb.The hotel is 6 min walk from the beach where there also are several restaurants.

I missed two comfortable chairs in the room ( there was one). The toilet is not for people who are claustrophobic but the bathroom and toilet was freshly painted and tiled.
