Beachfront property with plenty of sunbeds available along with beach towels, all for free. Beach is rocky the first few meters but then it’s all fine sand, with clean and shallow water for at least 20-30 meters ahead. Finding parking was also never an issue. Good breakfast and dinner options each day. Staff was very kind and helpful. Bed sheets, towels and pillowcases were clean and replaced often. Nearest store is walking distance. Met the manager upon leaving who was very kind and informed us that they plan on renovating the place for the following season.

Old rooms, bathroom and furniture, in need of renovation. Wardrobe smelled musty due to the humidity. Ants are everywhere even if you don’t leave food around, but this is probably an issue in the whole area since there’s nature all around. Fridge wasn’t working properly and you can barely fit a bottle of water inside. I’d expect a coffee machine or kettle in the room but you had to pay for coffee that’s better than the buffet option. Hopefully after renovation there will be higher value for money.

The location (surroundings) are great. It has a large pool with a bar and also a small pool for children

Things are degraded, and need maintenance. We were there a few years ago and we were very impressed, that's why we came back.

Stuff was extremely nice and kind! Hotel located in very peaceful part of the island yet not far from other attractions for those who would like to discover other parts of the island.

The resort is clean and nicely maintened. The staff are very polite. It has its own beautiful Sandy beach, available spaces to lay down, sit, including towels, waiters serving drinks and food on the beach. The sea itself is so clean and nice for swimming. There is also a pool but we didn't even use it, since the beach was better, although the pool looks very nice. Breakfast was great, a variety of tasty food in abundance. The bed was comfortable and the room was cleaned every single day: clean towels, sheets. The environment was safe, friendly and quiet.

Parking is a little hectic. No reserved place: if you decide to drive around to visit places, coming back you would need to look for a spot every time and struggle a little bit.Some things were not exactly right at checking in with our room, but the staff reacted promptly, fixed it in an hour or so and gave us a free drink and a bottle of wine to apologize. Apology accepted. The bathroom is clean but doesn't have a good ventilation. It's manageable, but it could use some fans. No iron in the room, you have to ask for it. TV screen is on a smaller size, but we didn't care about it.

Leisurely comfortable hotel. Great view, beautiful sea and not too crowded compared to other packed beaches in Thassos.

Room we stayed needed a lrenovation especially in the bathroom. Not like a real 5-star hotel experience, definitely and urgently requires maintenance

Food choice was ok, maybe there can be less souses in fish /meat and to be left to people to choose which souse they would like to use. Furniture in the room is already a bit old and need further investment to bring to 5 star hotel expectations. Cleaning ladies were always polite and they did nice cleaning job.

They do not provide even a bottle/ glass of water at the dinner, I find it very strange for 5 star hotel, and we always had to order, wait and pay extra. Staff /waiters are inexperienced, do not speak English, have no feeling when to take your plate from table, when to clean up, etc. Restaurant was always waaaay too hot, no airconditioning, just many opened windows and too many whasps flying around which made almost every meal in restaurant unpleasant. Beach service takes forever to bring the drink. Often in the morning we could not get clean towels for the beach, they show up around 9-10 which for us was very late. Pool is small, but bar staff there was nice.

The location was fantastic. Personnel were kind and helpful, cleaning ladies doing great job as they changed towels and bed sheets every day. Breakfast generally good.

Dinner was very bad. Every day the same quality food fried in bad quality oils and fats, not an option for anyone with high cholesterol. No roast meat option or fish, never. Cats with unknown health status were wandering the restaurant and management was not doing anything to stop it. On the contrary, they were putting responsibility on clients as they had placed papers everywhere asking visitors not to feed cats. Water could not be seen during dinner, in this way they were trying to sell their drinks and water, which were expensive. In my presence a hotel lady during the breakfast scolded a young girl because she filled her flask with water. First time I visit a 5-star hotel with no option to prepare a coffee/tea in the room. No tablecloths on the tables, and no AC working during the dinner. Instead of AC they opened all doors and windows allowing easy access to cats. Because of this bad quality of dinner, most of the days we had to visit restaurants in the area for dinner, the times we chose to have dinner in the hotel we had to do sauna as AC not working.The pool was small size (1,20 max) and always dirty, photos in website totally misleading, burnt grass in the pool, broken tiles in the common toilets, poorly maintained hotel that needs urgent refurbishment. No good water pressure in rooms, and no hot water for everyone. Τhe top highlight of my visit, was during checkout when the hotel manager approached us, and even though we told him that we were totally unsatisfied, as we had to pay monies in restaurants when we paid a half board option, he asked us to give his hotel a score of 9 in booking.com. First time I see this in my life, a totally detached management who is only interested in getting good reviews but does not honestly care. Summary: This hotel is not a 5-star hotel, is a max 3 and the money we paid here is too much for this level. We felt that we were totally ripped off, and this is something I personally told to the hotel manager.

Clean room with a balcony and nice pool in the center of the resort. There was also a kids pool. The food was pretty good and the staff was nice. Nice location, close to the private beach outside the hotel.

It was full of ants in the pool area, beach and also in the lower level rooms. The AC seemed like it was from 1970's. It was working fine, but not much options there. There was no playground for the kids.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, exactly how it should be. The pool was great with music, and the lady at the pool bar was super nice. Food was very tasty with different options every day. Lot of great sweets and ice cream ! Beach was clean and comfy with pillows and hotel towels. Every room was situated to have a great view of the sea or the pool area. Big plus - the hotel has a small gym with old school equipment, where you could do a proper quick workout to stay in shape. We will come again.

The rooms were outdated, but it didn't bother us that much. They were very clean.The gym could have more equipment and more dumbell options, please !

We were greeted by a very attentive staff to our needs. The rooms were very well chosen, we had a problem with the bathroom, but it was quickly resolved. What we really liked was the attitude of the manager who was always between employees and tourists, but especially at departure when he wanted to wish each of us "good luck".

Great location and value for your money. Good buffet for breakfast and Dinner. Suite was very spacious for our family. 2 minute walk to the beach was a nice plus! staff was very nice, and our front desk clerk when we checked was great. He was very friendly and helped us in English and taught us a bit of Greek. Honestly all the staff was nice!

Overall I'd say this is 4 star for sure, but not a 5 star. Our bathroom door handle was clearly aged and much to my suspicion was on the verge of breaking. It seized and locked my son and wife in on day 2. The hotel staff were very fast in fixing it, so big plus to them!The buffet was good, but lacking in options especially Greek inspired dishes. I appreciate they cater to many international travellers so the lack of diversity makes sense I suppose. I do wish they kept the coffee machine going through the day. Coffee at the bar was expensive and that little piece would have been a nice touch. Pool was outdoors but definitely not heated at all. Ice cold. I thought maybe as it was open and October it would be a bit heated, but nothing! So we swam briefly, but it was way too cold. The sea was actually warmer(In October!). Also Towels for the beach/pool were hard to come by. We made it a game with the kids to find them lol.it's off season, so I get the amenities aren't as plenty as on season, but honestly for a 5 star, the experience should never change regardless of Season.

Cleaning is done on daily basis. Hotel location is great, right in front of of the beach and very close to the village.

No improvements in the bedrooms. We’ve visited 8 years ago and haven’t seen any improvement on the room. The bed in the room was broken and making lot of noise when laying down.No outdoor activities reservation from the hotel and no kids animation.

We enjoy a lot our stay at Ilio Mare Hotel in September, 2024. The room was large, very clean and the beds were very confortable. The terrace has a beautiful view to the sea and we had the most beautiful sunsets ever seen. The staf was very attentive to every detail.. The meals were excelent, very various and tasty. The beach is very close to the hotel and very clean.Thanks for the amazing holliday in Thassos!

The hotel it self is very nice. Garden and beach part are fantastic. Location is very good and food is nice.

There are cats which walk free in the restaurant. Also the beds are not enough soft. All the rest is very good!.

Definitely not a 5 ? hotel. Where to start..the bathroom at the reception was horrible, looks like there was a war and need improvements, the bed from the room, you can feel all bed springs, bathroom has a lot of rust everywhere and can be improved. At breakfast you will find the same food everyday, all bought from the supermarket exempt some cooked eggs. The hotel should have no more than 3 stars.

This hotel is never 5 stars, not even 4, max 3 stars, dirty, mouldy, very rude personnel, we had ants in our refrigerator that looked like it was from the 90’, we requested another room because we had a 3 year old, and needed the refrigerator for his milk, they refused in 3 different days stating that all rooms are the same, we booked another room and received something else, stating it was an upgrade with a pool view but we requested a garden view specifically because of the noise, they said there is no noise at the pool but at noon there were children screaming non stop and the music was incredibly loud, no quiet hours, outdated furniture, smelly, very bad experience overall, do not recommend, breakfast was ok but definitely not 5 stars
