Astris Sun Hotel

We like the staff, they were very helpful, and kind, even friendly we could say! The food was also AMAZING, my wife had "astris salad". it was so good, she ordered it 3 days in a row! We also had a great time at the pool, we even playes some ping-pong. The rooms we stayed in were very clean. The lady who did the cleaning came everyday to change the ?️. The VIEW from the room was SUPERB.Did i say the food was delicious?☺️☺️☺️Me and my wife HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you Astris Sun Hotel for having us and thank you to the saff!

Was a good place to rest. Dog friendly place. Staff were nice and professional.

Our room were next to something machine what was very loud... air circulation outside unit or something like that.

Location was good.

The lock one balcony door was broken! The button in bathroom was broken.

No shampoo, dirty towels, no door in shower thus all bathroom is wet

Everything is perfect: location, food, hotels employees with Dimitris are extremely friendly and always at your service, hygiene is at the highest level. Absolutely every recommendation for everyone to visit this wonderful hotel.

It was a pretty spot to stay at , with a beautiful sea view . The swimming pool , lounge area and the lobby looked great. The outside and inside bar both were nice

The parking area could be improved , and the lack of washing machines or a washing service of any sort was somewhat strange .

The staff are very kind, the ladies clean the room daily and provide fresh towels. The beach is very close by, and the food is good and fresh with cold drinks available. The pool is also clean and fairly large, and the air conditioning works well.

Hotel was renovated and furniture is new. Although there are some things to still be improved its a nice hotel for its price and budget. Location is close to the Astris beach which is nice. And 7 minute drive to Potos which is a lively little town.Beaches we would recommend for families are: Paradise beach - about 40 minute drive from the hotel. If you have 4x4 car go down the dirt road all ghe way to the beach, if you dont leave it at the road and go down by foot. Beach has long shallow watter and its nice although you will need to pay 50eur for sunbeds for consumation. For this beach in particular its better if you go on the right side (right when looking at the sea) with your own umbrella as its a much better feeling and the sun sets after 5PM on that part of the beach.Pachis beach (20-40 eur consumation for sunbeds) we would recommend a bar called Loutrudis or something like that :) - about 45 minutes from the hotel. Has bit of rock first few meters of the water and then its a cloudy fine sand bellow your feet. Also its very shallow (not as shallow as paradise which is very long shallow) and water is warmer then on other beaches. Thasos has cold water in general but these few beaches are warmer especially after 2,3 PM.The above two beaches are in oposite direction from the hotel and they seem far but are worth the visit.Othe beaches worth mentioning: Psili amos, nice and very close to the hotel but cold water and wind. Astris, next to the hotel but cold water although nice beach bar (30 eur sunbeds for consumation). Giola worth the visit but only for half an hour maybe, jump in the pool and go somewhere else, also the road to the pool is not the easiest one. Marble beach we didnt even go as its 1 hour and 10 minutes away from the hotel and it has 8km dirt road leading to the beach, even though my car is 4x4 I didnt want to ruin it.Do not go to Astpis beach, although the beach is very nice and has a shallow sandy bottom the beach bar is a steal.

Breakfast is ok but very limited and same every single day. 8eur per person, 5 for kids.The staff is ok but very young and not that skilled in the kitchen department. We had dinner at the hotel once (three different meal courses) and other nights had dinners outside of the hotel which should tell you plenty. I would recommend the owner to improve the alla carte food quaility and variety and more people would stay for dinner at the hotel. Also the wasps are incredibly annoying when you have dinner or breakfast. Advice for hotel management: other restaurants have smoke devices to chase the wasps away or the little ventilators. The wasps are not aggressive and did not sting us but there are so many of them (8-10 sometimes) that you cant eat normally and you need to swing your hands to chase them away all the time you are eating and watch closely so you dont eat one. Not a pleasent experience at all.Wifi in the room is a down side but I dont know of a hotel in Greece which has a good room wifi except in its lobby. Thats easily improved with wifi amplifiers and routers installed on key points on each floor then measure the strength in random rooms but oh well.

Friendly staff, very clean rooms, view of the sea, across the street from a nice quiet beach, great dinner and breakfast. AC worked well, can't think of anything to add.

Perfect for a family. Clean, quiet, nice pools! Back again next year!

The hotel is very near to the sea.There are few beaches near the hotel. We preferred to use Psili Amos beach which is 2 km away (to the west-north). At this beach you can use sun loungers and umbrella free of charge, but you need to order 10 or 20 € from the bar (it depends of the umbrellas). It is clean and comfortable. There are 3 floors and elevator. The rooms are big and new. Bathroom is big enough. There are air condition in the room. The bed was double size and was very comfortable. There is big terrace with view to the see. We loved to drink morning coffee there. Breakfast is good enough. The pool is in back yard. Big size and shallow in one side and deep to another. There is children pool. Stuff is very polite and smiling. We traveled with two small dogs and we had no problems with the staff. They cleaned our room every day. Location is very near to the Potos (4 km), Limenaria (8 km) and Giola (2 km). Hotel has a parking (big enough)

Very good location, there is a store nearby. Very close to Potos and Limenaria. Super welcoming staff, comfortable mattresses, good breakfast.

Very poor rooms, there is no wardrobe, nowhere to put your clothes except the 5 broken hangers. Only one bed, one little mirror and the fridge was put in the drawer where you are supposed to put some clothes i guess + super dirty.No electric kettle, no bathroom toiletries, cheapest possible toilet paper.The bathrooms are old, moldy and dirty. The room was “cleaned”. Wiping the floor is not cleaning - the bathroom drain was clogged the first time we took a shower and they never cleaned it. The sand was never vacuumed from the bathroom or the terrace. Change of sheets and towels did not happen. On the first day, the shower head was very broken plus of course extremely dirty and old and the staff changed it in a timely manner. They were extremely polite and friendly.We did not see a single person swimming in the pool.Despite the bad reviews, we liked the breakfast:)

Excellent location. Very clean, comfortable and cozy. Great staff. The WiFi signal is much better on the terrace than in the room. There is no kettle in the room to prepare hot water for tea or coffee. Hotel manager to think about it.

The staff at this hotel was incredible, they always had a smile on their face and were always eager to help! The hotel has a very nice pool, which is deep enough for jumping and long enough for swimming. The breakfast was very good value for money and I liked that we could only pay and eat in whichever days we wanted, we weren't commited to breakfast everyday at the hotel. There is plenty of parking space around the hotel, and you can even find shaded parking spots.

Everything as advertised! Very nice location and comfortable place, very close to the Beach. The room was clean, the toilet isn't big but it's also very clean. The staff was incredible, helping us with everything. We will be back for another holiday for sure! Thank you for everything!

Nice place to stay,very close to the Beach.The room was cleaned every day.There is a Mini Market,right next to the hotel.Psili Ammos Beach ,at 2 min.away by car.
