Hotel Cavour

A decent, straightforward hotel that provided just what I needed, at a good price. After a long day's travel, the journey from Turin Airport was simple, and the hotel was opposite Asti Station. I had a big bed, and a balcony with a view of a plane tree.

Nadia and the Staff at the Hotel were so welcoming and friendly. We were able to use the courtyard parking for the duration of our stay. Our room was generous and comfortable and VERY clean! Despite being located near the Asti train station, it was quiet at night. It took about 10 minutes to walk into the historic center of Asti, and the Hotel was also conveniently located near the Saturday morning market. Breakfast was varied and ample. The highlight was that Nadia suggested a family-run restaurant in nearby Cherasco called "Autentico" where we enjoyed probably the most creative and delicious lunch we've had in a long time. Excellent suggestion!

Everything met or exceeded our expectations.

The location, right opposite the station, was just right for us, as we arrived in Asti by train. Despite its vicinity to the station we weren't disturbed by any noise from trains.We were given a warm welcome, and were pleasantly surprised by our room. I don't know why this hotel only has a 2 star rating: the rooms are comfortable and clean, with everything you could want. An excellent breakfast was included in the price. Overall value for money was excellent.

The staffs are kind and considerate, specifically la signorina Nadia:) and the bar man:).Clean room, and cr.

Excellent right outside Asti railway station and a short 5-12 minutes walk into town to various restaurants.Room clean comfortable and ticks all the boxes. We had an early breakfast from 0615 continental type, was fine..The receptionist spoke good English, her mother didn’t (as when we arrived at 1315), but coped as I was able to speak to her daughter via the phone, at our arrival time.

Very nice owner, helpful with finding a parking spot and giving local recommendations for restaurants and bars and wine tastings. Good breakfast with a very good cappuccino!The room was big with a double bed and a additional bed that was not too comfortable to sleep on. A cute balcony looking over the train station.

The area is a bit weird at night. But nothing to worry about. Also we stayed only two nights and our towels got exchanged in between - I would prefer to be able to choose whether I need it or not because I believe this is not necessary for such a short stay. I missed the sign in the room to say no cleaning requiered and also the choice of having towels on the floor if the exchange is desired, otherwise no exchange needed :)(that is just a little side note)

The staff were super kind and helpful and always available. The bedroom was more than adiquate and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was absolutly fine with a great choice and of very good quality. Total value for money. Centre was a five minute walk.

The location was convenient to both the train and bus stations. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of options.

I came by motorbike and was alowed to park it in the closed garage of the hotel with no extra charge!

Great location, close by all that one needs and want to see. Was able to park my motorcycle in a nice secure garage. Very very good value for money

Do be put off by the surrounding ambience

Close enough to the town centre. Breakfast was of OK quality, very abundant though.

Noisy due to all sorts of people speaking (and smoking) in the streets near the station.No way to adjust room temperature.

Great location next to Asti railway station local restaurants close by.Room nice comfortable slept well.I was able to get a continental breakfast at 0630 which was helpful as I was getting an early train.

The area was a little noisy, but the windows were soundproofed. No problem at all.

The location is perfect: Asti is a beautiful and exciting town but since Hotel Cavour is located next to the train station, it can also be the perfect base for exploring the region. The Hotel itself is really pleasant and cosy - of course, no luxury but I have seen four-star hotels in worse condition. My room was comfortable and clean, and the reasonable price included a breakfast also. The staff is very helpful and friendly, they create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The walls are very thin, even the conversation can be heard from the neighbouring rooms - as is unfortunately the case in many hotel buildings. It's worth bringing earplugs or - if it is possible - asking for a room where there are no neighbours.

Close to the station so very convenient. Staff were great we had to leave early to get a flight and they provided an early breakfast. Good value for money.

Nice and Central near the railway station.Staff were very kind.My car battery failed on the rainy morning I was leaving. A member of staff went for his truck and got me started on my way. Thank you

Our first night in there was 3 degrees and very feeze the bedroom and the heating a.c not worked. 4 nights without Wifi because not worked too. No variety breakfast.

The hotel is in a central location nearby the railway station but very quiet and with a private parking inside a court

Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast and barista coffee in the morning was good and also convenient. The location is great as you don't have to travel far with your suitcase from the train station, yet it is still a walk-able distance to/around town. The shower pressure was great and has nice hot water.The entrance and foyer were well lit and open later at night after attending the Christmas Market. Extra blankets and pillows are provided in the cupboard which were needed. Overall the stay suited our needs, and we would stay again.

Some recommendations would be to provide some hooks for hanging coats and a kettle to be able to make tea and coffee in the room. The bed was quite uncomfortable and could probably be retired in place of a newer one. Similarly with the very old hairdryer, a newer easier to use one would be great. There was quite a bit of dust beside the desk and under bed, so could probably benefit from a deeper clean.
