Hotel La Cisterna

The location is fantastic. The staff is fantastic. There is a great place to sit in the square and have cocktails and food just across from the hotel. The bed was comfortable.

For the price the room was small.

The room was big. It had a good breakfast with an amazing view and it was not expensive. The hotel was literally in the center of the town which nade it even better.

The look of the rooms is kind of old, but non the less very clean so dont worry

We were hiking the Via Francigena and wanted a place near the trail - this property fit the bill. You can't get more centrally located than this property, literally right on the plaza. And what a plaza! Filled with restaurants and shops. And gelato - can't forget that! Also many, many tourists (us!) but whaddya gonna do?Our room was large, clean, comfortable and, saints preserve us! on the ground floor - first time during a 50-day long trip. Nice. The staff was exceptional - they worked a long time with us trying to make bus/train arrangements. Much appreciated. Breakfast may seem steep at 14 euros, but we found out the hard way when we ordered juice and a croissant nearby that was almost as much. Lesson learned.

Amazing location! Right in the UNESCO square across from the Cisterna! The views from the room with the terraces were over the top amazing. We have a room with a view, but no terrace. I could drive right to the hotel and drop the luggage, and then take car to Lots 3 & 4 for parking. Good restaurant options all walkable. Breakfast was decent, typical, but really nice to have in the hotel.

Room 87. Could not flush the toilet, unless you had a sledge hammer. Our room #87, had many stairs to navigate, even in the room. Room #84 - Terrace with those amazing views.

Our family first stayed here 16 years ago with our 15 year old son and 16 year old daughter and we loved our stay. Our room was on the 3rd or 4th floor and looked directly over the lovely old well in the piazza. This time I requested the same room to reenact my daughter , now 32 with a husband and two babies to be able to wave from their room while I took a picture from the well. I also requested a room on the same floor as close as possible to my daughter , but with a view of the countryside. WOW their picked perfect rooms, the same one we stayed in years ago overlooking the well and a room that had a huge terrace and a 180 degree view of the countryside with many vineyards and towers in the background. We loved the terrace and enjoyed wine and snacks while enjoying the sunrise and sunset. The location is wonderful as you are city central and walk everywhere in this picture perfect village. The breakfast room is huge, food is delicious, staff attentive in bringing lots of coffee and two baby chairs. The view from the breakfast room is spectacular. Also want to say the front desk was so thoughtful in getting us warm milk every morning and evening for the babies. We were very thankful for the entire staff in taking care of our needs with two small children.

I cannot think of anything that was negative.

Great location, amazing vistas, I had a balcony overlooking the countryside and my room was very clean and comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful.

Nothing really except no where to put my suitcase and you need to be prepared to walk up a steep hill with your cases

Location was great. Close to vinyards and close to tourist sites.

No internet at our room which was at the basement floor. No view from window. No coffee at the property.

The location and staff are fantastic! The restaurant was excellent with a beautiful view at breakfast. The wifi was strong.

The beds were hard with flat pillows based on US standards but comparable to other similar hotels in Italy. The room was a bit dark as well.

Location is perfect right in the middle of San gimignano. We booked a room with terrace and was totally worth it, the view is breathtaking. Room was big and comfortable. We parked our car in the parking lot p2 and it was 15 eur for 24 hours.

Would maybe provide softer blankets and coffee at the room.

Great hotel at wonderful piazza della cisterna, with beautiful view of the hills.

Excellent location close to Trevi Fountain, shops, restaurants and of course the sites of Rome! The Restaurant in the same building was fabulous! Claudio was also extremely helpful and we were very appreciate of his help coordinating transportaion for 10 people to the airport

The only thing we didn't like was that there was no place for our family of 10 to sit and visit, unless we were in the room designated for breakfast. There is so designated lobby area.

Great location, very clean and bed was comfortable. Good communication when I had a question.

Location was ideal. Right in the city center. Made it very easy to explore the entire town in a couple of days. The breakfast was delicious.

No recommendations for improvement.
