This is a former count’s palace, full of period pieces and charm, that is still owned and operated by the original family. This property is elegant and the private courtyard is very special. Upon arrival, I was provided with all of the information that I could want for a great experience in San Gimignano! Breakfast was outstanding!!!

    Everything was great!

Beautiful building and great location. Great host and staff, excellent buffet breakfast. Would return in futur.

No parking allowed in the town, requires some walking to parkings. Travel light.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, and breakfast was tasty. Make sure to check out the private patio!

This is an old Palazzo inside the walled city. I would guess that the building dated from the 1500's, The room was a little weird by US standards but was incredibly charming and interesting. The breakfast was the best we had in Italy. The owner /manager was incredibly helpful and engaging. The hotel had been in her family for generations and she clearly wanted her guests to have the best experience she could provide. If I ever get a chance to go back to San Gimignano, I will definitely stay here again.

The bathroom set up was weird with the toilet underneath a staircase and the shower and sink were in the same enclosure but was clean and well maintained. No air conditioning but there was one installed in the room but not hooked up yet.

Great location and very helpful staff who gave us a map with everything we need to know and we managed to visit lots of hidden gems around the area. They also have discount with a few nice restaurants and we managed to try them out as well. Amazing building with very historical feel to it. The whole place is scented with some lovely subtle fragrance.

Very welcoming person showed us where to park car- about a km. away, and where to go, what to see, with some discounts. Apparently Booking com does not show the owner when we click on 2 beds vs. 1, so unless we message the owner, they don't know, or at least that one did not. So, even though 2 beds was the same price as one, when we arrived, we were told it would cost extra for 2 beds since we had not "messaged" that preference. Property owner only wanted cash for that extra €10, so for all of us who rarely use cash anymore, be prepared. ATM have hefty fees, so avoid frequent withdrawals. Great location in San Guimignano.

    10DominicPosted on: 10-28-2024

The owner was very accommodating and allowed us to check in early.

Rooms are on the upper floors and there are lots of stairs to climb. This didn't bother us particularly, but other residents may have difficulties.

Location was superb, right in the middle of San G. Parking instructions were very clear and the owner was passionate about her property and very helpful. We had six staying in the property and there were four bedrooms. We had a wonderful one night stay. Only one bathroom but that was fine for one night. Thank you

Old world property. Super host who greeted and helped, also great restaurant recommendation. Living room with coffee and water available

All good. Bit of a climb upstairs.

    Location; authentic; great history Palazzo

noisy as you are on the Main Street but it is expected. very small shower; the room had a very strong floral smell which could not be identified.

    8SorinPosted on: 10-2-2024

Old, clean rooms, living space very comfortable and friendly, Palazzo itself, personal support always being ready and willing to help, combination in between old and new objects, view from windows (2nd floor )

A common bathroom, but this has been known. Breakfast would have been a good option. Noisy room, especially in the morning, being located over an important street

Highly recommend this old Palazzo in superb location very close to the north end of San Gimignano at Porta San Matteo. We stayed in a spacious room with shared facilities at a good price. The furnishings are very grand & charming. We really appreciated the kind receptionists who went out of their way to help us. Their suggestion for dinner at Il Feudo was perfect ?
