Felix Hotels - Hotel La Coluccia

We really enjoyed our stay at this boutique hotel. The staff are excellent and the facilities were clean and well maintained. The location is amazing as it is right beside a fantastic beach with great amenities.

I thought the restaurant was quite expensive for what the menu was and didnt have that much choice, even though it changed every day.

I loved the private cove to swim in and look at. The hot tub was also a plus since the pool and sea water were cold. The food was delicious and the cappuccinos were my fave as well as the fresh orange juice. The room was stunning and staff already made the couch bed in advance of arriving. The couch bed was incredibly comfortable. It’s a beautiful property and hotel.

I was not a fan of the fact you had to buy water to drink especially since staff said not to drink the tap/faucet water. They should set up a water refill station that’s free to guests like the other less fancy hotels I stayed in. For that amount of money paid, drinking water should be provided.

The hotel looks over a lovely beach on the coast

The location is literally in the middle of nowhere and the staff at breakfast were quite abrupt. The hotel also lacked privacy and as it was a chain hotel felt a bit soulless compared to some other places in Italy I have stayed.

Breakfast needs some serious improving in terms of service and offering. Team were borderline rude on occasion and buffet offering often run out or minimal to choose from.

We loved the Staff because they are very friendly and helpful people. All employees made our stay better with their suggestions and advice for sightseeing, restaurants, beaches, etc. Kudos to Manager Massimiliano, Irene, Barbara, Elena and others at Reception; Restaurant Staff members Claudio, David, Gianluca, Giusseppe, Giovanni, Alessandro, Erica and Enzo at the Bar. Outstanding food; the Breakfast Buffet was never ending, well coordinated by David, with something for everyone, and all very attentive to provide plenty of coffees and juices at the table. The food selections at dinner were exquisite gourmet level servings with different menu choices every day and Claudio ran the show like clockwork. The Hotel's parking lot is very small but there is other parking available nearby within walking distance. Housekeeping did an excellent job of keeping the nice room clean and well stocked with fresh towels, shampoos, soaps and other amenities. We were comfortable in our room but wished the bathroom exhaust fan was less noisy and the air conditioning easier to maitain at cooler levels. The property is in a beautiful location, with well maintained grounds and outside facilities such as swimming pool, beach chairs, beds, etc.We wished the beach was more conducive to swimming and snorkeling, but the was a lot of sargasum, algae, stones that kept us from trying it more than once. There are other great beaches with clear water and sandy bottoms, such as Rena Bianca in Santa Teresa di Gallura which we enjoyed several times. Overall, we found La Coluccia to be a very good place to spend our week vacation in mid September, sharing experiences with the exceptional Staff, savoring scrumptious food and using the location as a base to visit the marvelous Costa Esmeralda in Sardinia, Italy.

Nothing much "not to like", but we were disappointed by the beach at La Coluccia. However, we found other nearby beach locations to our liking.

Good breakfast, a bit remote location you will need the car but it is worth it amazing sand beach, delicious restaurant but overpriced. Friendly staff, beautiful location to enjoy nature in silence.

We had a nice stay but we thought ot was overpriced. Dinner was pleasant but not amazing and we felt it was expensive for what it was.

The staff was amazing, they were always there to help and payed a lot if attention every day at any occasion. The private beach was unreal, with amazing view, not crowded at all. Pool was good as well. Wanted to highlight the food in the restaurant, it was superb!

The door in our room was not working properly for couple of days, but the staff reacted very quickly and suggested the replacement of the room.

The staff and location are phenomenal! Great hosts and so accomodating. The view of the beach is stunning. We felt very lucky to be there. Beautiful! We had the best sleep and the beds are incredible. Andreas and Maximilian thankyou for making our stay so special.

Great location. Smaller boutique type hotel. Staff super helpful. Rooms clean etc with coffee machine. Hotel exceeded our expectations it was great.

Nothing to dislike

This was a return visit for us as we first came 11 years ago and saw many changes. The location is stunning as it overlooks the bay and there are sun beds exclusive to the hotel overlooking the sea. The Manager Massimiliano was always on hand to answer queries and to help and his restaurant choices were reliably good and all taxi journeys booked for us as well as dinner reservations. He had a remarkable resemblance to Stanley Tucci and took the teasing in his stride!

We felt the hotel was rather tired overall and our junior suite for the cost was in need of an update eg stains on the sofa bed. Also there was debris visible from our room which we understood later from the Manager Massimiliano was due to a revamp overrun. We experienced a few problems from the start of our stay. The suite we booked wasn’t available on arrival so we were allocated a smaller room for the first night and eventually relocated the following afternoon not a good start. Dinner was complimentary on the first night however. A pair of trainers lost in the transfer. The bar was not fully manned meaning a long wait for a drink. Restaurant service not always as it should be.

Liked the location. Nice pool area. Beautiful dining-room. Helpful and friendly staff all around. Everything attentively supervised by the hotel manager, who was seen everywhere to check on things and interact with guests.
