Pros +
- Hotel Canne al Vento was a great choice for us! We booked just an hour before arriving and ended up in a lovely hotel with a delicious breakfast included. The owner was very kind and welcoming, which made a big difference — especially when you arrive in a place with a different language and culture. I highly recommend this hotel! Just keep in mind that during high season, it’s best to book in advance.
- The property was eclectic! Lots to look at. Smelt great. Room was fabulous. We were actually moved to a huge apartment because we were brother and sister traveling together and didn’t want to share a bed. Breakfast was fabulous and parking easy. A short walk to town.
- The hotel is in a great location, right across from supermarket, near local bars and restaurants and less than 10 minute walk to piazza and La Rena Bianca beach. The hotel hosts and staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and large variety of items. Local bus stop (5 minute walk away) that you can take to Capo Testa. Marina is approximately 10 minute walk for boat excursions. We would definitely stay here again.
Cons -
- everythings was fine!
- No elevator but still worth it.
- There was no dedicated parking but it did not turn out to be a problem, and we were there high season. Never had a problem finding parking right there, and we came and went a lot.

This is a quaint smaller hotel in an excellent location. The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating. It is not a Marriott. It is what you want to experience in a beautiful seaside Italian village. Everything is spotless, passionately appointed, and managed like a bed and breakfast. Very personal, pleasant and caring. The breakfast spread is awesome. The location is very good. Just far enough from the piazzas to avoid the noise, and a perfect distance to walk off dinner or the Gelato. It is the type of place that will have you sharing stories of the quaint Italian experience. It was amazingly quiet. We thought we were the only ones there, but we were not at all. Nice mix of couples and families.

Location was excellent, right next to a supermarket and just minutes away (walking) from the ferry port. The owner was very attentive and super accommodating. Breakfast was out of this world, a true showcase with fine pastries, cakes & fruit tarts and made to order specialty coffees.
Poor wifi, almost nonexistent. For those who don’t need internet this is a superb place to stay.
Very friendly staffNice clean and comfortable roomBreakfast was diverse and tastyVery well decorated room and hotel
Location was amazing. The family made us feel very welcome. Had a lovely vibe of a family run business.
Wouldn’t say “didn’t like” - the breakfast was very simple however we did not request anything other. I am sure if we did they would not hesitate!
Good location, very close to the centre of town and to the various hiking walks. Excellent breakfast with plenty to choose from. Savoury and sweet. Lovely hot powerful shower, with clean towels every day.
Bed was a little springy and soft.
Staff was nice and location close to city center. It was clean. Breakfast was very good.
The rooms need to be modernized a bit - light for example and interior design is outdated.
Lovely friendly staff.Amazing breakfast.Great location in the city and close to spectacular beaches!
The staff was very friendly from check-in till check-out (freeing up some space on the small parking lot for our car upon arrival, and arranging breakfast one hour earlier due to our early departure). The breakfast had plenty of options, with scramble/bacon, some cold cuts, pastries, fresh fruits etc., there was always place to seat (and we were a company of five). The location is great, not exactly in the downtown (far from noise), but close enough to the main beach (10 minutes walk), there is also a grocery store right across the street. The rooms had enough space, there was a perfectly functioning AC. Overall we had great time at Canne al Vento, can definitely recommend this place.
The WiFi was sometimes flaky
Location is just perfect. 15 minutes walk from Ferry port from Bonifaccio Corsica, 8 minutes walk to town center, 5 minutes walk to the bus that takes you to other parts of Cerdegna, 10 minutes walk to a very nice beach, the wifi works very well, the restaurant has great cooking and reasonable prices, with gluten and lactose free options, the breakfast buffet is very good and they even can make you eggs any style or prepare good coffee or capuchino, there is a big supermarket in front of the hotel where you can get anything you could need, to take the boats to visit La Madalena islands is just 15 minutes walk back to the port.
It is very bad place
This is a terrible place. We had planned to stay for two nights, but we left after just one. In fact, we would have left in the middle of the night if it had been possible. The room was stale and dirty, the air conditioner had a foul odor, and to top it off, a cockroach appeared in front of the bathroom. We spent a sleepless night with the lights on. They refunded us half of the money.
Location was great. Lovely building that with gorgeous decor. Walking distance to everything. No issues with parking. The owner was fabulous and very obliging. The breakfast was simply wonderful.
Only a small complaint was that the pillows were very thin.
super charming hotel, wonderful staff, and amazing breakfast. great location.
Charming hotel and great staff. Great communication. They reached out to us in advance and gave us wonderful directions. Our friends were arriving late and they helped us checked them in advance so that everything was smooth upon their late arrival. The location was great for us: we had a quick 5 min walk to center of town and also a similar quick (8min)walk to the marina where we took a boat ride the following day. The breakfast was amazing and the best we had so far in Sardegna. Beds were super comfortable.
Nothing. It is not a luxury hotel, so I did not have high expectations. I was expecting to have a small and basic room. But, I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the bed mattress was. And the hotel is very reasonably priced.
Super clean, lovely home from home feel. Great family hosts amazing breakfast! Loved it!
Nothing!
Thomasso and the team were all lovely and extremly helpful with any questions. The breakfast was amazing with an enourmous choice of selection. The room was reallly cozy and well equipped. It was the highlight of our stay in Sardinia.
A clean, comfortable room located near the town centre and port. There was a big choice of tasty food at breakfast.
- Location - walkable to town, trattoria below, supermarket opposite, free parking around- Good choice of breakfast
You get what you pay for! Old traditional Italian style
