Pros +
- The hospitality is great, all the facility is very child friendly and the food is great! The owner is so nice and the music evening was great with him playing specially for us Hava Nagila! All the staff is helpful and we felt better than at home! The area is beautiful and we did great walks in the mountains. We will definitely return!
- We had a very pleasant stay! The hosts were friendly, helpful, and polite, which made us feel very welcome. One big plus was the free parking available in the yard – very convenient. During our visit, the weather was mostly rainy, so we spent quite a bit of time indoors. Luckily, the on-site spa was a great way to relax and enjoy our time even when we couldn’t go out. It was definitely a highlight of the stay! Would happily recommend this place, especially if you're looking for a relaxing and friendly atmosphere.
- I loved the place and I'll definitely come again! Beautiful venue, great breakfast, spacious sauna, and a comfortable room!

- There was nothing. We would like to come again.
- The sauna was too cold as we visited around 17:00. As we came back from the night ski around 23:30, there was no hot shower in the room available and had to sleep without showering. The room was clean, but the shower area looked quite aged with not-removable dirt at the edges and there was a tiny silverfish seen in the night.

Friendly and open to assist staff. Wellness included in the price and delicious breakfast.

The location was great and the staffs were friendly.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Schartner! The staff, especially the receptionist, were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and the hotel’s location couldn’t be better—close to a supermarket and just a short distance from the ski area, perfect for a family trip. Our suite was spacious and cozy, and the private infrared cabin was a highlight, offering the perfect way to relax after skiing.Overall, a wonderful, child-friendly hotel with great amenities and an unbeatable location. Highly recommended!

Clean, facilities and location. Friendly staff in the main.
Lack of information about the facilities on sight. I had to go on the website to remind myself what was available. Reluctance of staff to show or direct me to facilities e.g. when I asked where the fitness room and sauna was I was simply told that they were in the annex but was not shown where the annex was located. All queries were answered but one had to drag the information out of staff.
Excellent location on main street in Altenmarkt, very good breakfast, helpfull staff always on disposition, comfort room, owner of hotel Mr. Bernard Schartner provided very warm hospitality for each guest. Definitely in this hotel you can feel as part of family, not just guest. Very good dinner prepared by owner who is also ch.cook.Highly recommended hotel.
The location in the center of cozy Altenmarkt was very good and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good.
The sauna was cold
A fantastic typical tyrolean hotel in the Pingua region. Stayed one night passing through but could definitely stay many nights to explore any season. Comfortable rooms with a very nice breakfast on the way out. The owner/host is gracious with his time and information. Loved this place and it's woodwork and history. Will stay here again when exploring the area next year.
Not much
The room was old, the toilet wasn’t working well, we had to remind them to clean the room and everything was vey expensive.
Great breakfast and location of the accommodation. Nice large rooms, beautifull garden and nice pool.
That I didn't had time to stay longer
Friendly staff, nice garden and pool
Great staff, nice food, good location
Cleaning service of the room and bathroom
Breakfast was excellent and so was the staff. Asked for pancakes for the kids the first morning and since then the chef had them ready every morning. Great service. Nice wellness area and we appreciated private parking. We recommend this lovely hotel.
The room was rather small for 4 persons (2 adults & 2 children) but we managed.
We will come back for the great location they have, but there's some room for improvement for a 4* hotel. The staff were all willing to help and flexible.Great spacious rooms, wonderful interior garden, quiet.
We did not know that at a 4* hotel the client need to ask for cleaning. Nobody came to pick out the garbage (we did it ourselves each time) or to wash the floors or even change the towels and bed sheets.I think this should be done at least 1 time during a 1 week stay without being asked for.Would have loved to have a minibar in the room (small fridge even empty) because my smallest child is very difficult when it comes to food and so I would appreciate to find a small fridge in the room next time to be able to keep some yogurts etc. for him.
Friendly staff, very big room- although I don’t know what I need this big for, nice breakfast, slept good
Old-fashioned therefore expensive and it wasn’t even skiing season, dinner was good but took very long
- the location- the room and the bathroom are spacious- the breakfast was good
- the lack of a mini fridge. If you want to keep a bottle of water cold, you have nowhere ?- the food on the menu does not have the displayed prices.. is not ok..- the Wifi is bad…if you want to work, keep this in mind.. all rooms on 1 wifi..
Nice staff and good facilities for sauna, steam etc. Nice breakfast also. Rooms were nice for the price overall.
There were dirty glasses in the bathroom that had Coca-Cola residue in them and the bathroom floor wasn't clean and had a strong urine smell that I had to inform the staff off.
Nice room, excellent location, perfect breakfast even in this COVID time
Limited staff availability, I had narrow chance to ask information on services because the staff was not available.
