About
In the historic center Monterosso al Mare, this small hotel offers a rooftop garden overlooking the Ligurian Sea. Its bright, air conditioned rooms include a 26" LCD TV and private bathroom. Breakfast at Albergo degli Amici Moggia is continental style, and includes cold meats, cheeses and croissants. The hotel restaurant serves traditional food from the Cinque Terre region. A terrace, ping-pong and foosball are all provided in Degli Amici's unique and colorful garden. There are terraced olive groves and vineyards just behind the property. Monterosso's sandy beaches are just 220 yards from the hotel, which provides beach towels for guests. The train station is a 9 minute walk away, and ferries to Portovenere and the other Cinque Terre towns leave from the pier.

- This cute little auberge was one of the best places to stay at in this village! It is well situated (restaurants, hiking trails, beach) and they offer a great breakfast. The bonus is the roof top garden!
- The hotel breakfast was probably the best I've had in my extensive years of travel. Fruits from their fruit trees in the beautiful garden, three types of coissants, lots of other types of pastry, bacon, eggs, cereals, yogurt, breads, juices and coffees.
- In town ,breakfast was wonderful, staff was excellent
Cons -
- They do not turn on the air conditioning in May (not hot enough in the season).
- The bed was very firm. But the room was great

The room was quaint and perfect for our 2 night stay. I just wish we could have stayed a few more nights. The roof top area was amazing. And the buffet breakfast was out of this world. The staff was so helpful and kind.
Very helpful and friendly staff, great breakfast, and clean comfortable rooms.
Clean and centrally located, good air conditioning
Very small bathrooms
Wonderful hotel, excellent located very closed to restaurantes and main atractions. We absolutely enjoyed our stay there. The buffet breakfast was very good and diverse.
Easy accessible to everything that’s making the purpose of the trips enjoyable Cinque Terre.
The environment cares with small divided trash can for plastic, paper and waste inside the bathroom. A night shift staff; Glen in the dining room were very helpful to us when we asked for hot water.
Property was clean and nice spacious room. Great location. Lovely buffet breakfast included.
Breakfast was great, the hotel grounds and outdoor spaces were spectacular and the location couldn't have been better.
Not a thing
Location, the rooftop garden, the balcony
Everything about our stay was fantastic until the last day.
The lady at the front desk (don't recall her name, lots of eyeliner) charged us a fee for our 14-month old baby at checkout, first stating it was $40 Euro for a baby cot which we never agreed to pay for, then stating it was $30 Euro because there is a fee for babies. This was not stated at any time and was told to us after the fact, upon checkout, it was a bait-and switch because I would have factored that into my decision of which hotel to choose. She was not considerate at all with us. Warning - they might charge you surprise fees for infants, make sure to clarify in advance with them before your stay. It's a shame, because I was so content with my stay and 3 days in the area, until that unpleasant extended check-out dispute with that lady.
The hotel was located in a convenient location in the historical section. Lots of restaurants just steps away. Be sure to check out the garden...fantastic view with lot of thought put into the landscaping.
Breakfast needed a couple more options.
Good location .. Monterosso is gorgeous !Room was clean and hotel quietLiked the sheets but beds too hardShower had good pressure. The AC rattled I could not sleep ..Breakfast is passable ..All we needed but always appreciate more sleep comfort.

Easy Access to restaurants and shops, the breakfast was outstanding; the upper garden terrace was very nice to sit at, ( a little bar to get drinks up there would have been even better) , we very much liked having an elevator, very kind and friendly staff.
Too many stairs to get in front door.
Love the cleanliness of the facility, the staff and the great breakfast.
There were only shears on the windows in our room which made it difficult to sleep due to light coming in. Also, it appeared that our bed was two twins pushed together so there was a valley in the center of the bed which made it very uncomfortable.
Nadia at front desk worked with us to find a room that met our needs. Rooftop area was a great spot to look out over the village to the sea. Breakfast staff very friendly and accommodating. Food choices at breakfast were extensive. Bar served drinks at reasonable prices. Room had a nice balcony with shudders for privacy and a clothesline to dry swimsuit and hiking clothes.
Lots of stairs to climb and the elevator was often busy due to limited size. Door on shower was hard to open and close.
Great location . Walking distance to the station and the roof top garden was a perfect way to relax at the end of the day . Breakfast was included and was very substantial with lots of variety on offer . We were upgraded to a balcony room … just because which was a lovely surprise

Location was great. Clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooftop garden was lovely.
LOTS of steps. Exhausting getting to the roof top garden but the view is well worth it.
