Hotel La Maison des Peyrat

The pool was a perfect feature after a long and hot train ride. It was thrilling staying in such an ancient dwelling with all the most modern appliances. Beautiful views from every window. Great wine choices. Breakfast superb.

The facility didn't serve dinner. There was a big thunderstorm so we didn't want to walk into town. Fortunately we had food with us and our host invited us to eat in a common area. Host kindly picked us up from the train station it was a 20-30 min walk

Beautiful refurbished old farm house with a pool. Great hosts with charming manners and good taste. Each room is unique and well designed. Lots of out door seating options and flowers everywhere.

Not far from the town center, but it is directly uphill. You should be fairly fit if you plan to walk back from town. Also, there is no hot food (or any way to cook) on the premises so meal planning is a must.

The property is absolutely beautiful! The building is very old but in wonderful condition and the amenities are nicely updated. The owners are very helpful and friendly and the breakfasts are excellent.

We liked everything!

Property was lovely. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were updated. Owner’s went out of their way to make sure we had whatever we needed. When my husband inquired about Almond milk for breakfast, we were pleasantly surprised when they made sure we had it the next day at breakfast. Highly recommend!

The property is wonderful. Our highlight was the swimming pool which was quite big with a beautiful view and was really refreshing! One of our best swimming pool experiences ♥️The garden is also perfect: quiet, lots of beautiful plants, flowers, nice tables under the trees. Perfect for relaxing.The scenery is beautiful! 10 out of 10.

The rooms we booked as a family were quite nice, although not suitable for the heat. For context: We were here during 35 -40 degrees days. When you take a shower, it gets really humid, the air does not circulate - its ok if you are comfortable with heatwaves but some of us slept quite unwell because it doesnt cool off (plus no air conditioning).The city is 10 min away (walking at a good pace) but its really steep at times - and unfortunately the facility makes it a bit difficult to eat / picnic at the location (no trash/ one fridge for everyone / no kitchen etc). That would be great if this could be improved.

Anybody trying to walk into town must be crazy. The hill back out is very steep. That really is the only major complaint.

It was a bit of a steep walk home from town but we managed ~ so worth it!!

It was a beautiful old property in gorgeous garden settings just a little bit outside of town. The breakfast was very nice in a very nice room. The staff was excellent.

Our room was very comfortable however it had very little light and ventilation. I am not sure how the room would be in summertime because there was only a velux window way up high and I am not sure one could even open it and a small window that did not open.

Lovely hosts, great facilities, welcoming atmosphere. And brilliant walnut cake!

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. It was raining so we didn't walk down to Sarlat, but there was plenty of easy parking, so no problem.We loved our quirky room in the attic.The hotel owners were very helpful and friendly.

The hosts were exceptionally kind and generous, the room perfect and breakfast was delicious!! Excellent location and quiet. Beautiful surroundings and a gorgeous pool. 8 minute walk to the centre of town.

Walk into Sarlat from the property was not easy especially for those with disabilities.

Charming hosts, lovely breakfast, quiet location. It 10 minute walk to the medieval centre (uphill back). Great value.

Great location very clean, nice breakfast the owners very friendly and helpful.

The only drawback was the very steep walk back from town.No taxi are available from Sarlat so be ready for a hike back.

The location was peaceful, set out of town but within walking distance of the town. The breakfast was very good with plentiful buffet including scrambled eggs and bacon. A truly relaxing place to be. Exceptional hosts. The pool and gardens we enjoyed. A place to return we feel.

There is nothing to dislike

It was lovely to have an opportunity to enjoy the breakfast on site instead of walking to a city. And the city itself is beautiful, vibrant, has a lot of dining options, we were super happy we stayed so close to it.

The setting of the property is definitely its most! breakfast very good and complete. Service by their owners, so, couldnt be better; we felt like home. They grow some of their vegetables, and the place is 100% quiet.

May be a taxi company allied to the hotel, so, we could move better in the night to the town. Even its a short walk, but it's dark and being a tourist, you never know what to expect in a city you dont know.

Lovely serene hotel. Tranquil setting. Simply furnished but clean and everything you need at hand. Gardens perfect to enjoy with a drink on an evening and for breakfast. Pool ideal as it was very hot. Excellent location and Sarlat easy to walk. The owners were excellent hosts. Wish we stayed longer.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Our hosts were wonderful, very friendly and shared many ideas and suggestions for things to do, places to eat etc which was really helpful. We loved the pool and the beautiful gardens surrounding the property, which were so relaxing to spend time in. The breakfast was fantastic. The location was great - yes it is a 10-15 minute walk into town but that was part of the pleasure for us, to be so close to the town and yet feeling like we were in the country, and it was a lovely walk before and after dinner. The area is also fabulous - there is so much to explore and do; we didn't have time to do half the things we would have liked to. Definitely somewhere we would return to!!
