    • Location, excellent breakfast and the spa room( it has steam room, mist showers and sauna)
    • Staff were excellent. Gayle and Katherine helped me immensely when my car had a flat tire and I needed to get in touch with Avis. They are both excellent ambassadors for your hotel!
    • Nice bar and lobby, great breakfast, excellent location. Really nice staff. Very close public parking. Gave me ice.

    Cons -

    • Service could go up another notch
    • Decorative pillows on bed need to be replaced. Would rather have no pillows than tattered old ones.

Loved the location - minutes away from the ramparts while also quiet at night to gaze at Carcassonne under the stars. Everything you need including a cozy breakfast area, outdoor patio dining area and a terrace. Rooms are comfortable and clean! Catherine and Jean-Michel were gracious hosts with recommendations and a warm welcome.

    Nothing it was fabulous

Everything! The building is very beautiful and romantic. In low season we could easily find a free park spot in front of the hotel (please note free parking is only available in winter up to - I guess - April 1st? I guess parking in high season can be quite challenging in the village centre). Hotel is situation at a great central location. Lovely bar that stayed open until we were done. Bar does have food menu, with easy dishes. Restaurant is there too, but we didn’t tried it. (Btw the pub had non-alcoholic beers which so far appears to be quite scare in most France restaurants, so that was nice). Also the swimming pool / spa area was quiet and the pool jacuzzi area is basically open the entire day from 8am to 9pm. Length is I guess 12m pool. It’s a great pool for a tiny exercise after being in the car the entire day. Spa area has different hours, but we didn’t try it.

All in one shower gel - shampoo - conditioner :). So bring your own.

Absolutely loved this place. Room was big, spacious and with everything we needed. The pool and spa were great. The location was fantastic, right near the main tourist street. Everything was excellent.

Parking was 6 mins walk away from hotel but wasn't really an issue.

The Hotel and Staff are great the SPA is not working properly

We stayed at the Plaza Madeleine Hotel & Spa for a night only (13-14/12/24) .We wanted to relax and enjoy all the SPA facilities mostly . Well , the Hammam was out of service and the sauna barely reached 60 degrees. (quite cold). The receptionist was apologetic, but then , he said that the Sauna would do the job , unfortunately Hammam & Sauna are two separate things with their own benefits and people like me , with vascular issues, cannot tolerate dry and high temperatures generated by the Sauna. ( theirs was cold anyway!) We live in Issigeac and we drove more than 1 hour to visit an hotel that uses SPA & Well-being as selling points but , they are not working properly. Jacuzzi was boiling hot , Swimming pool way too cold, cold Sauna and Hammam out of service. We left spending €328.24 for a bed (comfortable) , spacious room and a breakfast in the morning , that’s all. Nobody from the Hotel informed us about these “ technical” issues , although our was a flexible reservation and we could have change the dates easily. We had chosen this 4 stars Hotel to relax and not for a bed nor their breakfast.

Great location and the staff are amazing and so helpful. The pool and spa facilities are perfect and free to use.

The beds, the mattresses are rock hard and like sleeping on stone.

This was an excellent 4 night stay in Sarlat. The room was a good size and very comfortable with all the amenities. The pool/spa/sauna setup places it well above other choices in the area. Although it was a short walk to the parking garage it was very convenient to have secure and covered parking where it was easy to come and go. Sarlat itself has plenty to do but a car for the surrounding area is useful as public transportation is limited.

There were several tour groups during our stay that seemed to occupy all the staff. When we arrived they were serving a large group dinner in the "group only" dining area (the breakfast room in the am) and service in the bar was nonexistent.Wrong drinks, wrong check, and marginal food. Although there was usually someone in the area of the front desk, they were generally in the back room and only came out after standing around for several minutes. That said, these were the only drawbacks and I mention only in the hopes they might be corrected.

It is close to the Farmers Market and restaurants.

The price-performance relation for the Hotel is not balanced. The food of the Brasserie is bad and not acceptable. We have been really disappointed.

    10AndreaPosted on: 10-10-2024

The hotel was lovely and in a perfect location. The staff was wonderful, helpful and kind, especially Remi. Our room was clean and comfortable. Easy walk to restaurants and the beautiful old town of Sarlat.

We got a great parking space. Parking might have been an issue for others.

It really was good hotel to stay. Staffs were super friendly and professional. Check in and out was easy. They had private parking. They have a super cute outdoor seating. It was simple and easy.

Breakfast, staff, location and room style

    Bathroom a littlee small

    8PhilipPosted on: 10-4-2024

Very well situated in the center of the old town. Everything was within walking distance, usually 5 minutes or so. For our late booking only a small double was available but it was quite spacious enough.

The bathroom was rather small (see above)

Short walk into main town areas, good bar and outside seating. Polite, helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Great breakfasts.

Location and very comfortable room and nice bar

    9DavidPosted on: 9-25-2024

    Swimming pool and spa facilities

Breakfast was a bit confusing - it wasn’t obvious that guests could not serve themselves with hot drinks and it seemed inefficient that guests couldn’t do this from the hot drinks machines.
