Outstanding location; great breakfast; nice staff

Being on U.S. time, i was looking for dinner at 6 pm. however the hotel's restaurant didn't open until 8 pm so my wife and I had to go into town for food. If the restaurant opened earlier we would have ate there.

Wonderful views, comfortable and spacious rooms, lovely breakfast.

Nothing! It would have been nice to have a bit more conversation upon check in and check out or even when in the lobby from the staff. They were always very busy on their computers and sometimes didn’t notice we were walking by. They were never rude, but it was noticeable.

Great location. Quiet room with good shower, reasonable size. We knew about the location and room, but the hotel exceeded expectations in its service (everybody proactive and efficient, plus a smile, quite better than some comments). Great breakfast, quite complete, and the hotel was clean, with everything working to our entire satisfaction. We had dinner twice. Good service, food ok, the view is amazing!! We loved our stay, we will try to come back!

Perfect location. Great view. Modern and clean

The only issue we had was a lack of hot water in the bathroom. Had to forget about having a decent hot shower. A VERY quick warm’ish? one with almost no water pressure is what’s happening. When we raised it with the staff they simply said our room wouldn’t be different to anyone else’s, and no one else had complained. I let it go because everything else was great but I think they should really do something about it. Or at least could have come up to look themselves. I think they would have seen it really was a an issue. We were checking out the next day so didn’t bother asking for a different room.

The building itself is beautiful, the location is great and we had a corner room with a very nice sea view. Fresh water supply also great.

The strong smell of cleaning products, and the tiny corridors felt a bit claustrophobic, the stairs are not so safe - slippery and abrupt, the noise in the morning from the busy breakfast area.

The location is prefect! The view from our room terrace and from the restaurant terrace was amazing. We selected a big room and it was pretty comfortable and very clean. We loved the property and the town. We would definitely stay there again if we come back to the area!

The location of this hotel is perfect. The views are difficult to top. We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed drinks during the day overlooking the sea. The staff assisted with arranging a car service for us to and from Barcelona. We will definitely return.

There were some facilities (like available beach towels) that we weren't aware of until the day we left. The price is on the high side

The front desk staff is always so friendly and helpful and the views from the room are amazing .We love the location of the hotel and come back every year if we can .It’s in an excellent location in Calella de Palafrugell with views from the main garden of the hotel where you have breakfast or a drink any time of day .

I feel after coming many times over the years that the breakfast experience has deteriorated in two ways :1) the selection at breakfast seems very mechanized and sort of generic hotel food on offer instead of something more spanish and special as it used to be . There is also too much of a self service vibe with everyone touching the coffee machine and all the stations of the breakfast buffet .2.) Also the staff at breakfast just ignore you and even when you are the first to say good morning since they don’t greet you , they don’t respond or they eek out a short smile of acknowledgement ( I know the service industry can be hard and it’s difficult with so many tourists that might not be friendly or polite , I’m well aware of how hard the job is )..there seems to be a bit of a weariness of the job and it was only June and the beginning of the season so I can’t imagine the attitude in August .I am only bringing up this issue because I believe this hotel is special and the first impression of your day takes place at breakfast and those interactions ..and it could be improved as it was not particular to just one staff member but to all of them at breakfast .

It was very good value for the money. Location is one of the best, if not the best in the area. Water-view rooms deliver as promised. Great breakfasts and great views. It’s biggest asset is being located in the best town on costa brava.

It’s an older hotel and it has a beachy-ness to it so don’t expect the air conditioners to crank or the sleeping beds/pillows to be from this century. It’s a three star hotel, don’t expect it to be a four star hotel but accept that there are still exceptional things that come with 3 stars.

Beautiful hotel in a fabulous location overlooking the med! We only stayed one night but the breakfast was exceptional!

The location is fabulous: the terrace has amazing views and the hotel is close to little beaches, a coastal path, botanical gardens and the lovely town. We really appreciated being able to borrow a deck chair and parasol for our mother (in her 90s). Our meals were delicious and service friendly. The hotel is simply and very tastefully decorated. We valued the incredible attention to detail.

Nothing really. It was a little hard to park, but we didn’t mind having to walk a bit.

Superb location and stunning views. The staff were all very welcoming. Breakfast had plenty of choice with lively fresh fruit. Would recommend.
