Hotel Llafranch

The location was great, right on the beach and near the restaurants and shops.

Couldn’t find a more ideal location. Our room fronted the Sea, we sat on the balcony a lot, listening to the waves lap the sand, watching people go by on the walkways below us. From our place, we could walk along the beautiful beach or even easily to the next town for lunch along a breathtaking sea walk. Lots of choices for dining. A delicious croissanteria right across the street. I tried to extend our stay (forever!) I found it so relaxing. The beds and pillows were really comfortable. Front desk staff especially Sunia, was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Yusef, a waiter in their convenient outdoor restaurant, took very good care of us as well. It’s a little noisy being right above the normal town goings on, but that did not detract from our complete enjoyment of Hotel LLAFRANC. Can’t wait to return!

The location was great right by the beach, the room was nice and comfortable but the shower was a bit lame.The staff were grumpy or hapless, the welcome was bland and info non existent.I went to get a drink at the bar and had to wait 15mins before I could get the female bar staff to serve me and the best bit was when I asked for a Brandy she had no idea what it was.I re - phrased Brandy Espanol IE Magno, still nothing at that point I gave up.These issues make up the mark of 6 in my review.Would I return a definite NO

The restaurant is really comfortable and newly renovated. It feel very expensive. Breakfast was cooked to order. I had dinner and lunch there. Food was good and staff couldn't have been kinder..offering me free coffee whole I waiting on their gorgeous roof top terrace which has views of the vista of beach and surrounding area. There is a shower on the terrace. This hotel feels more homely.

This is a three star hotel, room I booked was good value but small. There offer a range of rooms, some with terraces lookong into the sea. It's a great location, just by the beach.

The location is unbeatable right on the beach front.

We knew we had reserved an interior room but it was smaller than expected and only had a very small window that gave in to a tiny patio.

The guy on reception gave me a better room that wasn’t over the back door of the restaurant as it was v noisy. But the very moody lady on check out pointed out I should’ve paid more for the room “my colleague gave you”…. As if he was at fault for giving me a better room and I was to blame for making a fuss about the noise…..? it was a great experience apart from my departure and the noisy bits!

We’ve stayed at Hotel Llafranc many times and always have a great time. The location is perfect!

Unfortunately we chose to stay on a Monday and Tuesday night and the bar and restaurant was closed. Our mistake (but nothing to confirm this on Booking.com). The bar and restaurant is a great plus point for this hotel when it’s open!

Breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly. The room was basic but clean - a convenient place to explore Llafranc. Right on the beach.

The rooms could be a little brighter and updated. But they were perfectly fine.

The room was good, but simple. In the past, the rooms were much bigger, it looks like they have been halved in order to have more rooms on offer. This is fine, but furniture in the room a bit outdated.

Perfect location in a beautiful destination

Property is old and so is limited in amenities, but location is perfect and it is spotlessly clean with lovely staff. Breakfast also good.

Worst ever Hotel experience

In all my years of travelling and staying in Hotels I have never experienced anyone as rude as lady owner who was on the front desk at this Hotel. Because my wife is a poor sleeper and recovering from a long illness we requested a quiet room at the back of the hotel, if possible on the top floor. I also very politely emailed the same request a few days before we travelled and was assured they had a room at the back of the hotel that should do. And indeed we did have a nice room at the back of the hotel, HOWEVER outside our window was a rack of loud humming air conditioning units that ran intermittently throughout the night - we barely slept !Every time we were getting to sleep these units fired up and we were wide awake again - it was tortuous.In the morning I approached the lady on the front desk and very politely raised our concerns and asked if we could have a different room and was met by a quite unbelievablt hostile attitude and response.She said in a very aggressive manner that we wouldn’t be happy with any room, and when we tried to explain the reasons why she wasn’t prepared to listen and very brusquely told us to come back later as she was very busy at that time. And when we did go back, her face make it quite clear we were being nuisance. She could not have been more unhelpful and I can honestly say we gave her no reason whatsoever to treat us that way.We weren’t prepared to put up with this awful manner and decided to check out and find a different hotel and when we told her she insisted we had to pay for at least 1 more night.Which reluctantly we did just to get away away from a thoroughly unpleasant person.I noticed in past reviews that others have had a similar experience with what I assume to be the same etremely rude and abrupt lady.

Location. Any closer to the beach and you’d be in the sea. Great food. Very good WiFi . Staff brilliant. Aircon nice and cold and controllable

Everything wonderful lovely staff. Would have liked a slightly bigger bedroom with front balcony but we left the booking too late. We will know next time.

Paid for secure car park with gate that doesn’t work. Very noisy air conditioning. Bedroom small for the price. Lift broke down. Stuck in lift. Meal in restaurant average then told that we had to move as they needed our table for another party.

Fantastic location. Extremely welcoming and comfortable. Great breakfast and everyone was very helpful and friendly. I ate in the restaurant 1 night too and the food was absolutely delicious..

Beautiful location.

Were only able to book an interior room so did nt have a view and this room did not qualify for tea/coffee making facilities although staff did provide when asked for one of the two rooms we booked. Otherwise clean and comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful.

we were a bit early so approx. one hour to check-in and we got some drinks and a warm welcome - that was super nice, haven’t seen this for a long time!

There was no negative thing, we were informed that there is no parking at the hotel but we found a spot nearby so no problem - and therefore there was very little traffic around the hotel. That’s very good!
