The rooms were recently refurbished and in excellent condition.The location is fantastic and walking distance to restaurants, other pubs and the beach.It is a working class pub but the entrance to the accommodation is off a side door so you dont have to walk throught the bar if you are a bit timid.

The TV is the room was a bit problematic - but not a real complaint as I just flicked it on the background noise and when it didn't work I didn't care - a good thing probably! Room are upstairs and there is no lift so not suitable for everyone.

Reception area was dirty with food on the floor and made me concerned that the room would be unclean also. Thankfully this was not the case.

Needed a place to stay in last minute and found this property. I was a bit unsure what it would be like given it is on top of the pub, however we were very impressed with the accommodation and facilities in the room. The staff were extremely helpful and the room was so comfy and clean.

There was a balcony next to our room which was not operational during our stay. It would have been nice to be able to step out and sit there whilst having our coffees and drinks.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Good air conditioning for the extreme heat and staff very friendly and attentive.

Distance from car park to rooms with luggage is a bit much

perfect overnight stay, clean room, and private bathroom is just what you need after a long day travelling. staff were very helpful and friendly. locations is close to bars and restaurants. highly recommended

Security arrangements for room was good. Unauthorized access would have been difficult.

Modern and spacious. Well appointed for a 'pub room'. Great bathroom. The corridors and stairs had great character.

The overall feel was let down by the pub underneath. Whilst the staff were excellent and most customers were fine, there were many obvious regulars who detracted from the classiness of the accommodation. I sat outside to get some fresh air. I must have sat at the 'wrong' table, as a woman who had been drinking heavily sat in a seat right next to me. I was alone on my table and her mates were in the next table. She lit up a 'rolly' and puffed away right next to me. Smoking killed my father at 52, so I have zero tolerance for smokers, so I left and drank somewhere else.I have no doubt that she was telling me that I was on one of 'their' tables!

The room was very clean and bathroom spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are on the top of the pub and no lift available if you cannot negotiate the stairs.

Comfortable and clean. Great value for money

The secure parking is good but it’s a bit of a mission to get to and from the car from the rooms. There is the option to street park near the door though, it’s just not secure.

Small, but comfortable, room. Near to the beach, but easy to get into the city by train. Good economical option.

Doors to the terrace were looked and the terrace was unusable because it was apparently unsafe. There were no other opening windows, therefore no access to fresh air. It's an old building that would benefit from some updating.

The food was good, the pub was filled with local characters. Staff was lovely and rooms fresh and clean.
