Hôtel Vila

The location is excellent for travelling this area - we stayed 3nights as a mini hols rest stop en route of out trip, your own vehicle is not a necessity as public transport is both very local and very efficient.

We had our own coffee making facilities with us but the room lacked any although drinks could be purchased at reception, there are plenty of local facilities on your doorstep and the tap water is perfectly lovely.

The photos give the impression that the hotel is ‘on its own’ when in fact it is in the middle if a built up area.

This is an old hotel that is immaculately clean. Everything was well used but totally acceptable. Plenty of places to eat within a few blocks. The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful.

Friendly staff, huge and comfortable bed and the room was spacious as well. Good parking. All in all our stay was good.

There were no hooks anywhere in the room except for on the bathroom door for towels. It would have been nice to put our jackets somewhere other than the sofa or the wardrobe that is nowhere near the entrance door. Also would have been nice to have a mini fridge in the room. Walls are very thin, you can hear everything from the next rooms.

Large private parking.Rooms are basic but very clean.Showers nice and hot.Breakfast was pleasant.

The hotel is reasonably priced had a nice room which was comfortable air conditioned and great en suite facilties. Continental breakfast was really nice with a great choice. However what really made our holiday was the helpfulness of the owner sorting out bus timetables, bike hire, and suggested places to cycle. Both couples who owned the hotel made our stay really memorable. The hotel is situatdd a little out of the town but there are frequent buses from outside the hotel and excellent cycle paths with miles of cycle paths around the lakes to explore.

There were no tea makiing facilities in the room and I would like to have been able to make a cup of tea in the morning but it was not a problem as there were plentiful supplies in the breakfast lounge.

A modest and affordable accommodation for the area. However, the front desk hospitality and service, and impeccable housekeeping are truly outstanding (and most appreciated!) in 2023. Overall an excellent choice!

Soundproofing of room - as could hear noise from above.

It was very clean, it looked old but it was extremely clean.

When I arrived,the whole place smelled of cigars' smoke, inside the hallways. The parking lot needs a refresh, I got there before a big rain and after the rain the car was unreachable, the puddle was so big and so deep. Also yoy can't really use the trolley as there are small stones, so everything needs to be carried.

The welcome and friendliness of staff. We were granted a late check-out which was really kind. The hotel is less than 10minutes drive from Sète train station which we found very handy.
