Beach Club Menorca

The location of the property was excellent.

The rooms weren't cleaned properly each day. There was an empty toilet role on the floor of the toilet for the whole week and we left it there to see if it would be picked up but it was still there at the end of the week. The shower area was a bit grubby. The whole property is in need of some maintenance, e.g. some railiings on steps were a bit unsteady. The breakfast selection was good but the food on the hot plates could have been a bit warmer.We paid for a sea view, assuming that it would be of the fabulous beach but it was at the back of the property, facing on to the car park and while there was a view of the sea beyond this there was a big tree in front of the balcony that obscured our view. We requested to be moved but were told that the rooms facing the beach were suites that weren't available.

The beach, location

We stayed last year in this hotel, using suite, and it was really exeptional so we decided to come back this year and booked an apartmant (already in january) sea view, expecting almost the same level of accomodation. Usually hotels have the same interior design with the difference in size or some facilities. This year I had a feeling I was in a 1 star hotel and no 3star like last year. There is a huuuge difference between suite and apartmant in this hotel, although the price difference is not much (maybe 50€ a day). The apartmants are old like from 90ties, not in a good shape, old furniture strange noises from bathroom...also the sea view was more parking view (if they put you in ground floor and not 1st floor) and it is really not confortable, no during the night(when car lights are always on your apartmant) no during the day when always someone is passing by. We asked for an upgrade but thay told us they are overbooked although on booking app was showing available suite ar least for 2 nights (out of 4 that we booked). But no one really cared, it was high season and the staff on the reception did not care much if this is affecting our vacation or not, we paid and that was all that matters to them. I made a complain both on booking app and live to a receptionist, I got a reply by message on an app in Spanish, on my english written message, which I do not understand, but I used google translate and actually they said they will offer an upgrade which in the end never happend. So be careful which room you book, it might be a big influence on your vacation quality. We really paid too much for this room. Also I called booking customer service but nobody answered and nobody called back. So big complaing also to booking customer service

the room was nice. as was the view (we were at the sea).

it is not a place for couples/adults. Because the rooms all seem to be suites, it is designed for families. The pool was so overcrowded with screaming kids that we never used it. And since the rooms all surrounded the pool, it was very loud.

The most wonderful location – beach is absolutely stunning! Staff were absolutely fabulous and the food on the terrace restaurant really exceeded my expectations. Had a wonderful time and cannot wait to go back.

I really enjoyed my stay at Beach Club Menorca. I got a room with a sea view, which is located in a quiet part of the apartment complex. I spent many mornings and evenings sitting on the balcony admiring the unobstructed view. The apartment itself was quite large, including a bedroom, a kitchenette, a small bathroom and a living room with some couches and a TV. In the kitchenette there was an induction cooker with two cook tops, a kettle, a toaster and a microwave - more than enough to prepare a simple meal. The staff was kind, helpful and accommodating. In terms of the apartment complex facilities, there is a large pool with good quality sun beds (some were even double) as well as a bar, a coin laundry (washing machine and dryer), a small gym and a supermarket. All in all, a very convenient and peaceful place to stay at with no loud music or nearby parties at night.

The beds had very hard mattresses, they could definitely be improved! Also, our kitchenette was missing a chopping board and a good knife for cutting meat or vegetables. We made do with what we had, but these small things would be a very nice addition.

The rooms are very tired and dated. Need some love, paint and modernising.Towels and bath mats are replaced every day which seems an expensive and unenvironmentally friendly approach these days. No option to keep your towel.

Clean, nice decor and amazing beach view! Room was very big and with all the comforts! The location is amazing right over one of the best Menorca beaches. Nice and clean pool area! Kind Staff!

The room was clean. Our room came with breakfast. The food was good with lots of options.

The A/C didn't seem cool in our room, and parking was about 1/4 mile away from the hotel. Also, the pool and whirlpool could use a good pressure cleaning.

Excellent views, walking distance to the beach, great breakfast.

We absolutely loved our stay. The location is peaceful and the beach is amazing. Perfect for small children. The pool was clean and not overcrowded. I like the towel rule as it meant you could get a sunbed fairly easily. There was plenty of variety in the buffet. My husband is a fussy eater and even he loved the food. Yes the room had a few minor issues but nothing that would bother us or affect our holiday. Just booked to return next year and hoping for the same beautiful sea view.

Some minor things needed fixing in the room but wouldn’t complain

Comfortable, spacious apartment with beautiful views of the sea. It is right next to the beach, although you have to walk up quite a lot of stairs. The apartment came with all the amenities you need if you want to cook in the apartment. The pool area was nice with a bar with food available all day. There is also a restaurant attached to the hotel where you get a beautiful view of the beach and the sunset. The food is nothing special, but the view and service is excellent. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is a supermarket next door and parking available right outside the hotel.

The area is very quiet, there are a few bars nearby. This was great for us but if you are looking for a lively area, this isn't it.

We had everything at one place, our check in was for 3pm, but we could check in earlier as the room was ready already, the room with sea view was amazing, we really enjoyed the balcony with that amazing view and also at night with the sea sound was the peace, the breakfast was really good, staffs really helpful, Daniel from reception gave us tips for some nice places and beaches to visit. I’ve asked him about places I could see the sunrise and the sunset, he told me some, but just to add that I really saw the sunrise right back at the hotel, a really nice spot.

We didn’t like the flies and mosquitos, the Meloussa Bar was full of flies and we couldn’t enjoy our food in peace, we had to rush to eat our food, worrying that they would land on our food, so this part wasn’t pleasant, I do understand this is something that the hotel cannot control entirely but perhaps to install fans in the area could help to keep mosquitos and flies away, also the bathroom shower was a bit tricky as sometimes the water would turn too cold suddenly and I have some thoughts that it could be while the room upstairs was using at same time.

Location is absolutely superb right next to the sandy beach which has a bar, loungers, umbrellas, pedalo etc. Supermarket on site very convenient. Staff helpful. Parking good. Buffet breakfast good choice. Cleaning everyday.

Air con is not that powerful. Guests reserve space next to pool with towels so hard to find a spot sometimes. Quality of beach bar restaurant food not amazing and a bit limited. Gym needs updating. Rooms are a bit dated and basic.

The restaurant was good (not part of the hotel management). Wonderful location / access to the one of the most beautiful beach in Menorca. Enough parking spots.

The hotel is old, beds are old and uncomfortable, there is not hot water when everyone is showering before breakfast and after beach. There isn't a Business Center as mentioned, in fact they don't even have a color printer which they could make us use in case of urgency (had to drive to nearest town for a color print and scan). The breakfast was one of the worst I have ever eaten, they prepare the omlette on the same grill as pancakes, so omlette was sweet, no sign on any of the food offered (exmpl: there were sausage but we didn't know if it was beef, chicken, pork, turkey), we tried to ask one of the employee for some info and he said "You can't ask me question", I did not want to argue as most of the employees didn't look too happy to be working there. The quality of the food was terrible. We ended up buying goods from the supermarket and prepared breakfast in the room and washed the dishes (this was supposed to be a holiday). First time in my life I was happy to come back home from a holiday, so we did cut our stay and returned back home earlier. My family didn't enjoy staying at this -so called- 3 star (They don't deserve 3 stars, I highly suspect that they have painted 2 more stars next to 1 they have) hotel.

The pool, the buffet and the sea

Location, weather, facilities, sea view, sound of sea, walks, lovely beach nearby, shallow warm water, nice pool and surrounds, well kept hotel and grounds. Choice of small supermarkets with all one needs to self cater. Nice and quiet in and around.

I had read about refurbishment but saw no evidence during this our second stay which was in a different apartment looking out at the sea which we loved. However, the only downside was the kitchen which because we chose to self cater this time, we realised its shortcomings but still managed even with its limitations. Even so more needs to be done to ensure the hob switches relate accurately to the temperatures and perhaps some instruction can be left to help operate them. I succeeded by trial and error and managed well but only after realising the whole thing requires the timer to be switched on. I was worried some of the cupboard doors might fall off but with care they were still intact after our stay. We will return and look forward to see these minor adjustments on our next stay.

Apartment has everything that is needed even though the kitchen is quite tiny and could use a refurbishment. Pool is huge and always available day beds. Enough space to park either outside of property or inside. Amazing view over Son Parc beach! Beach is literally 5 min away and is gorgeous with crystal clear water. Supermarket on site too!

Staff had some trouble understanding English.

- Nothing. It is all old and dated. - Cracks in the walls. - Basic non-cotton sheets that don’t feel or smell clean. - Most of the clothes hangers were broken. - The ‘coffee machine’ is an old style percolator (I had been expecting nespresso)

- Rooms smelt bad, weird disinfectant type smell. very stuffy and couldn’t use aircon as it had a foul smell. - The bedroom has no view at all. Balcony had a view of the swimming pool & a bit of the sea. I had specifically searched for a room with a sea view and due to the location I thought it would look out onto the sea but we had an apartment that looked onto the swimming pool. - The a la carte restaurant food wasn’t good at all. Tasted like cooked frozen goods nothing fresh. Didn’t try the buffet food. - I asked if we could move room and commented on the foul aircon smell, my requests were ignored, furthermore the room wasn’t cleaned that day….- Location is far away from everything, 30 mins minimum to get anywhere as the beach isn’t particularly amazing. - Struggled to park every day, fortunately I had a tiny car but even so it was stressful. - toiletries are simply shampoo and shower gel. - there is a small supermarket on site but it’s very overpriced & very limited.
