Staff, location, ambiance.
Great location, good room
Grubby jacuzzi, no restaurant, management very friendly but staff not
Beautiful location, great place to stay, we were only here for 1 night but would definitely stay for longer next time. We were travelling with our dog and the outside space was perfect for walking. Very peaceful and perfect to stay and visit places from the accommodation.
We booked a so called Suite with a plunge poolThe pool was a good idea but could have been warmer.
We were given room 20 suite ..2 nightsThe room was so small that it had no chairs or sitting area...no dressing table...only one bedside.....no coffee machine/kettle or beverage facilities.......bathroom facilities were lacking..... nowhere to hang towels and very little toiletries.I I spoke to the management whose responses was.....not enough room for any of those.... it's a suite I said....okay I'll try to sort out he said ....he gave me a dining room chair as bedside/sitting.Restaurant was closed for the winter but that displayed on Booking.com.We and many others hadn't seen that.We had some food in the nearby town.Bar closed at 8.00pm.so arriving back at 8.30pm we found the place all locked up.Breakfast was meagre and anything that was supposed to be warm was cold. Both mornings. The manager did help with delivered Pizza on the second night for us and some other people but closed the place at 8.30pm.We have stayed there before and it was okay but that was Spring and Summer with Bar and Restaurant open and pleasant staff and good food... We thought we'd treat ourselves to a plunge pool suite.this time at 180€ per night after first night we thought it a rip off and told the managerWe realise that it is winter but this was not a good stay. The manager was smiling and pleasant but!!!!
Breakfast was very nice. The 2 cleaning ladies were very nice, friendly and helpful. I guess in summer the pool would be nice, but we didn't have the chance to try it cause it was Dec.
The lady in the reception, not sure if she's the owner was not very nice at all. The internet signal doesn't get to the rooms, so you have no internet in a room over 150 euros per night. The bar and the restaurant were closed, which was not indicated by the time of the booking, so you're in the middle of the countryside and need to drive to get a coffee, again, after paying over 150 euros. Some people showed up to breakfast (that started at 9) at 8.58 and got yelled by the lady in the reception saying THERE'S STILL 2 MINUTES TIL 9 AM, which was true, but didn't feel polite nor very welcoming. Toilet inside our room was super dusty, there was no shampoo and the pool inside the room was closed and not very clean nor warm.
Great location - dog friendly and some good walks nearby. Nice rooms and good for a stopover.
We visited early Dec so very limited facilities - no restaurant and no options for early breakfast.
There is lots of free parking and all the staff are friendly. We have stayed several times on our way to Murcia
Beautiful Building, excellent friendly staff, very quiet dark room, nice buffet breakfast, very clean, large room. and bathroom.large comfortable bed. We will definitely stay again.
Location
Terrible owner.Breakfast was closed off before the stated time so I had none.Owner seemed invested in money only and not service.
Spacious & clean room.
The shower in the bath without curtains make a mess. Lighting could be automated. Checking time are too lste in the morning.
A very nice and generous dinner with good service.
I had seen from other reviews that the rooms were a bit dated but, they were being kind. They were so dated to the point of looking grubby, a mismatch of furniture. Some looked as if they had been a GCSE woodwork project made from plywood, then varnished. The toilet didn't flush. Really not nice! It took about twenty flushes for a non-efficient flush. We only discovered this after dinner, due to our late arrival. I communicated this in the morning but was told I had to email the owner. It was the most expensive stay we have had in the area and the most disappointing. I would have expected some compensation for a toilet that didn't function properly but unfortunately, that wasn't offered. I always give properties the chance to apologise properly and if appropriate, give a small compensation before reviewing. Breakfast was only average. Low quality cheese and meat, scrambled egg on a warmer that looked like it had stood for a long time. We paid for a superior room. It was far, far from superior. Inferior in fact.
The staff was very friendly . The room very nice and mediaeval.. Bathroom very big and nice aswell. The service in the restaurant is good and the food international
There could have been a second chair in the room and in the shared launch a bit more lights
The location is the perfect sweet spot for both Roses and Cadaqués, hotel was very clean and comfortable with friendly staff and easy checking in and out. It has a big car park space, great restaurant with great quality grilled food, nice pool and bar which was convenient as the town is 5 mins by car.
The hotel is also used for any local fiestas and such celebrations meaning lots of noise and very close to the hotel rooms, you can hear everything. No vegetarian options at restaurant but otherwise a very nice experience away from cities.
The disable room was very comfortable and the jacuzzi bath was really lovely
The other guests dogs barking a lot and the builders very early in the mornings
Gorgeaus place, lovely stuff, insane scenery
No hanging options for the wet stuff (out of the sea), lack of vegetarian options at breakfast.
Most things
would have liked a lift but that is not possible in a building as old as Mas Pelou, no seats or armchairs in the garden
