Pros +
- It's 2*, so the expectation were not high.Everything was new and clean. Comfortable beds, free parking. It's kinda far from the city activity, expected by the price.I asked for the kettle (to boil water? not sure about the name). There was not in the hotel. But the reception girl told me, just go to bar and ask there. Yep, got a boiling water for my tea. Well, it was very touhcing...
- It was very attractive in its simple modern design. The room had a nice balcony offering a wonderful view of Roses bay, and I had one dinner there with the same panoramic view. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. I was a little apprehensive based on some negative reviews, but I didn't experience sny issues. Room was very quiet. I used the hotel shuttle to the Ciutadella the first day, but afterwards found walking up the steep hill to be good exercise for me.
- Very clean and spacious. All rooms have a fantastic view. Lifts to all floors. Decent size swimming pool. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food good for the price.
Cons -
- Everything I could wish (refrigerator, for example, or the safe) should appear in higher level places for another price. So I was absolutely satisfied.
- Mixed feelings about the location. Amazing views of the bay, but not very easy to get to the town and beach independently if you have mobility problems. There is a mini bus service available but not necessarily at the right times. Taxis are relatively expensive for the distance.
- Very outdated,no attention from staff, most of guests were french people.no one said good morning!not even over breakfast buffet or in elevator…Depressing and sad place .

It has a beautiful view and free parking

Great food, great pool, lots of parking. The lady at reception "Maite" is very helpfull, and so are her girls that look after the restaurant etc.The view from the rooms is exceptional, though it can get warm in the summer afternoon, but the hotel has lots of space to lounge around in.,so best use the room terrace for mornings and evenings.Certainly a great place to hang out in Roses.
The hotel is placed up a height at the back of Roses,, hence the view,,If you don't have a car don't attempt to walk up, get a taxi, I'm sure, it's not expensive.
This could be a 4star hotel but unfortunately there are so many issues that it merits no more than a 2star review. On a positive note, the swimming pool is amazing (22m long and 3m deep end), and the views from the upper floors are incredible - see photos. The air conditioning in the rooms is also excellent. But those are the only good points.
Firstly, the location is at the top of an extremely steep hill and it's impossible to walk up in the summer without breaking out into an exhausting sweat. They offer a shuttle bus service but this has to be prebooked and only runs a few times a day with the last service at 7pm..so utterly useless for going out to town for evening dinner. Taxis in the town are very difficult to get and we were forced to walk back to the hotel due to booked taxis simply not turning up.Secondly, the facilities in the rooms are the absolute bare minimum - like you'd find in a youth hostel. There is no fridge, kettle, or coffee machine so the balconies are hardly used by anyone. There isn't even a plug in the sink in case you need to do a bit of laundry (essential for those who travel light). There was no shower soap or gel and when we asked at reception, they said we don't provide toiletries like that and you'll have to wait for the cleaners the next day. So we went without a shower for the night on the expectation that the cleaners would fill the empty shower soap dispenser the following morning. However, despite cleaning the room, they didn't replenish the soap so we had to find a supermarket and buy our own shower gel and shampoo. The shower itself is also weak with fluctuating hot and cold water. Thirdly, that whilst the buffet breakfast is good, woe betide anyone who tries to take a croissant or fruit up to their room... They're happy to see uneaten food go in the bin rather than allow you to take food with you. Finally, the walls are paper thin and we could hear every cough and movement of the neighbouring rooms. In summary, if the management focused on the customer more and less on cutting every single cost, they'd have themselves a decent hotel. I just hope they make the necessary changes as outlined above.
The room is comfortable and clean - and we had room to the sea. The swimming pool is also great. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Transfer to the beach
It is far from the city center and the beach. Could be complicated if you are not by car. They offer transfer in regular times.
Immaculately clean. Rooms recently refurbished and spacious. Food was good and very reasonably priced.
The sound insulation in rooms could be improved. The shuttle bus to town only ran 4/5 times a day
Great hotel with stunning views from the pool and bar area, good buffet restaurant for dinner.
Doesn't look the best hotel but views make up for it.
Very clean rooms and pool area. Staff were helpful and friendly. Handy to have shuttle down to the town. Air conditioning in rooms was very effective. Stunning view over bay of Rosas from terrace. Good range of Spanish food every day in restaurant, which was regularly restocked so did not run out.
The hotel is in a convenient location, has free parking and a large pool
There are no towels for the pool, you need to bring them from home. The place is not so well maintained
The view
Uncomfortable bed, dated decor, bad breakfast, smelly restaurant. Outdated.
Great dinner and breakfast buffet, beautiful view!
It was incredibly hot and there is no aircon or fan so it was very hard to sleep.
Friendly staff. Beautiful views from every room. Plenty of space by the pool.
It seemed a bit run down. Needs a bit of paint and renovation. Easily fixed and it will be a fantastic hotel. All the basics are there.
Fabulous place to stay. Everything was superb, staff, rooms, facilities and food added to which was a fantastic pool (what a tonic after a hot sweaty ride on a motorcycle - instant refreshment) and the views across the bay and marina simply stunning. We could only stay one night as we were on a motorcycle tour with a tight schedule. We will come back and next time, will spend a couple of nights here in order that we have time to explore the local town.
Nothing!
Great pool and view, nice breakfast included
You definitely need a car to get there in summer as it’s quite high up - difficult to stroll to the city centre walking
The hotel was nice but could do with a little updating like fridge in room and a table on the balcony. Staff were very good and the curtesy bus was a bonus as hotel up a very steep hill. The room had a nice see view and the restaurant was very good. would stay again if in the area.
Plug sockets could do with a look at and the air conditioning didn't work. Patio doors - you could lock inside but still open the doors from out on the balcony very strange.
Spectacular views and the swimming pool is very big
Only to say something, the mattresses could use an upgrade
Clean, good , nice view and good space
Nothing to not like. The whole place itself is excellent
Location is superb with magnificent view of the bay of Rosas.Hotel is very clean and spacious.Set above Rosas it is set in a secluded and quiet location. Our room was very spacious with a balcony looking on to the bay.
Hotel swimming pool could do with a lick of paintBuffet is good value but food quality varied from fair to low..
