    Pros +

    • Great location. Nice staff. Room was small but comfortable.
    • The level of service provided by Jeremy and Inga was second to none. They are friendly hosts who literally cannot do more for their guests. We had a great time and the property is in a fab location. I can highly recommend the breakfast at the hotel - this is generous and delicious, far better value for money than any of the offerings in local cafes. We will DEFINITELY be back, thank you Jeremy and Inga!
    • Not a real hotel - beware!

    Cons -

    • No kettle to make tea or coffee. There were just 2 paper cups. It would be nice to have a few glasses.
    • On the day of checkin I got a message from the hotel advising me that the room will be ready by 15:30. To my surprise when I stopped by the hotel around 12:30 to drop the bags the hotel was physically locked and no one was there. It is a standard practice for a hotel to be open during daytime. Send a message to Nancy, the Directrice who replied that she was not at the hotel and nothing can be done.My take - it is not a real hotel, book at your own risk.
    • WiFi access could have been simpler.

Very kind and helpful host. Told me where all to visit, where to eat, etc. Tastefully decorated with colourful flowering plants on the outside & quaint collection of artefacts on the inside.

WiFi access could have been simpler.

Staff were cheery and welcoming, and waited late to let us in since we’d been caught in bad weather and roadworks. Rooms were very clean, though there were many mosquitoes so if you’re prone to getting bitten be sure to bring some repellant and treatment. The breakfast spread was excellent, with lots of choice including pretty good options for vegetarians. The pool looked pleasant though we didn’t use it.

The bed could have been comfier, and there was a bit of noise from other rooms - this didn’t bother us but if you don’t sleep well this is worth considering.

A nice little oasis. We are traveling by bicycle and the property was right on our path. The hosts were very accommodating and our room and bed were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. Very clean and well kept.

Cleanliness, size of room, breakfast, easy access to centre of town

Poor wifi, noisy at night due to bar next door, dark room, directrice was not helpful when we asked for a fabour

The garden area where you can eat breakfast is very pleasant.

The lady at reception did not have an especially friendly manner. Simple requests like getting glasses for the room was clearly too much trouble, also the Wi-Fi code although it was entered into my phone and worked - intermittently. Writing it down seemed a chore. Additionally it seemed as if taking a couple of madeleines for our long car journey was not allowed, which we found very petty - given we had already paid 25€ for breakfast this seems very silly. Never mind we enjoyed them anyway ?

Very nicely situated, very nice and cosy familiar armospere, great parking and good breakfast. Monsieur was extremely nice and helpful.

Madame was thinking everything was a great problem! Not very friendly!

this was a lovely little hotel. The room was very well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and a typical French petit dejuner. there was a small garden with a swimming pool, and although too cool as yet it was sunny enough to sit out. we were 10 minutes walk from the town and its amenities, so the location was ideal.

    10SylviePosted on: 3-21-2024

The place is cosy, clean and feels right. It is walkable distance from the city center and the owners are very welcoming. The breakfast is nice. We really enjoyed our week-end.

Parking right opposite was free. The staff were very friendly. The room was clean and airy. Good breakfast.

    Nothing to report.

The best copious breakfast so far in France. A huge variety of meat, cheese and pastries. The hosts try so hard to please.

Quiet though 5-minute walk into the town, a nice walk along the canal. We arrived at 7pm in the evening and left at 8am the next day so didn't take advantage of the small pool.

We had room on the ground floor which meant people were passing right in front of the room which wasn't great for privacy. But we booked at the last minute (under 2 hrs before arriving!) so we understand we have to take what is left.

Clean, good location, room was large and air conditioned

Main receptionist was friendly at first and then took a dislike to me because I asked why there were people in the pool if the pool was closed at 8…we arrived at 7:55…She explained to my husband …the next day…that the people in the pool were owners and friends etc. All good of course…tho’ not consistent with a usual hotel…there was no info package in the room explaining that the pool was only closed to guests. She was clearly annoyed with me at Breakfast - I have very limited French language skills. She had told us the night before that we would be able to use the pool after we checked out ( check out was 1030 ! AM) and specified that we would have to change in the public washrooms, …we were joining a bike and barge tour and could not get on the boat until 5PM - her hotel was recommended by the tour group…when we returned to use the pool after a very hot walk into town…she said we couldn’t…some excuse about insurance that was not in place the previous evening. Very disappointed as we never did use her pool…would have gone in in the morning had I known she was going to change her story…odd…for a hotel that caters to the bike tour groups…

Very clean and comfortable. A nice pool where you can relax and cool off after a busy day.The position is perfect. Enough parking space and just 7-8 minutes walking from the walled city. For those who want, an upmarket restaurant right next door.

A bit noisy because of the squeaking floors upstairs. The rooms could have done with a small fridge.Don't drink their coffee, it's awful.

    10MartinPosted on: 8-4-2023

This is a beautiful boutique hotel, only 8 min walk from the walled city. Emmanuel & Nancy, the owners of this hotel were so friendly and so helpful. This hotel also has a wheelchair accessible room with a large wet room and shower chair. We will be recommending this hotel to everyone, and we will definitely be returning to this hotel. This hotel is very clean, all the amenities in this hotel were excellent. We are already looking forward to our next holiday there . They also have a beautiful pool, terrace and a very well looked after garden.

Friendly hosts, delicious breakfast, pretty pool, excellent restaurant next door.
