    Pros +

    • We were upgraded to a larger room which was very spacious and had a nice balcony. Room was very clean and the bed super comfortable. Staff was gracious and kind. We were only going to stay one night but added another- the location was great for exploring St. Remy and beyond.
    • Adorable hotel. Parking was easy. Pool was a nice bonus. Bed was very comfy and each room had it's own private patio or balcony. Very peaceful and quiet, only about a 15-min walk to old town. Kind of ideal if you have a car and plan to explore the region each day. Would stay again.
    • The breakfast was good and the staff was lovely

    Cons -

    • Just a couple things. Firstly, my bathroom smelled a bit like sewage. Not much to be done about it and not too strong, but not wonderfully pleasant either. Secondly, the front desk service definitely left something to be desired. I mean, this is a hotel in the heart of Provence. I would expect a couple wine glasses in the room. There were not, which is totally fine, but when I asked if I could get one, I was rebuffed a bit snidely. In fact, I was told something exactly like "if I give you a glass, then every guest may want one. Next you'll be asking for ice." Wow. Not top tier service and I was really quite taken aback.
    • We had a triple room and the small room with the twin bed did not have good air conditioning coverage which was disappointing because it was very hot during our time there in late June
    • We had a very small water closet in our room which would not be good for tall people. Shower was fine but a bit dated. Patio was lovely but we had to clean it in order to sit outside.

We loved our two nights here. A beautiful pool with great grounds. Only issue is that our room AC (one mini-split for a 2-room family room) was not able to keep up with the extreme heat. If you are looking to walk to Saint Remy center, it is doable, but a bit long for that (we opted to drive instead). Overall, really liked this hotel; would come back.

We had a room with a garden patio. Very nice. Air conditioning was perfect. Buffet breakfast looked nice but we didn’t order it. Free onsite parking was appreciated. Ordered wine and beer for room service and it was very reasonable. Grounds are lovely.

We had a very small water closet in our room which would not be good for tall people. Shower was fine but a bit dated. Patio was lovely but we had to clean it in order to sit outside.

The cleanliness, the breakfast, the staff, the surroundings, the comfort, the Terrace of our room. They were places to sit in the garden around the hotel that were very enjoyable and relaxing.

    10MilenaPosted on: 3-11-2025

Comfortable beds, great breakfast and staff really helpful (in French only).

The heating in the room was not ideal, air conditioning did not remain on during the night.

The room was clean, location was quiet

The room was quite small, but sufficient for our needs

We were upgraded to a separate house that was quite big with a mini garden. The hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood and has a guarded parkin

At check-in, we found a rather sour receptionist that complained that I hadn't indicated that we were traveling with a dog. Which I indeed forgot. But that got repeated about 4 times. Afterwards when we moved to the apartment, she told us we were not allowed to touch anything in seating area nor use the garden. Didn't give a very warm feeling. Most likely this was minor and incidental, for the rest we had a very pleasant stay.

The location for the town and it was quite

Facilities were poor, food didn’t look great, coffee machine not the best, sauna was €15 per person which is expensive, areas around the hotel gardens were in kept and dirty. Hotel wasn’t expensive but not looked after

    8BrookePosted on: 9-17-2024

Enjoyed our stay Comfortable Parking a little tight but it was fine

    WiFi was weak

    9LynnPosted on: 9-4-2024

The staff were all polite, kind and welcoming as were our fellow travellers at the hotel. The hotel itself is small charming with a typically French ambiance. We loved the pretty surroundings, the breakfast and the comfortable rooms with little courtyard gardens.Saint Remy is the most delightful little town where we ate dinner most evenings and enjoyed the local wines. I would definitely return.

    There was nothing to dislike.

Breakfast was fantastic but it was on the expensive side at €15 for paying hotel guests (the cost adds up over 7 days on top of the room as we were travelling as a couple) so we only ate a few times Bed SUPER comfy and air conditioning was a blessing Very quiet location and easy walk to town

For the overall cost of the stay breakfast could have been cheaper - overall it felt like we paid a lot of money for a lovely but basic level of service You could hear other guests on both sides of the walls - as reception closes at 7:30pm if you did have a noise issue it’s up to you to bring ear plugs or politely tackle yourself! The pool generally was super quiet and really relaxing but one day a huge extended family took it over. Again sort of up to the guests to deal with it as the pool is not staffed. Even though there is guidance not everyone listens!

    7NathaliePosted on: 8-4-2024

The property is conveniently located a mere 15 minutes walking from the town’s centre. The rooms are small, a little outdated but clean and provide with everything one needs.

    9ChrisPosted on: 7-19-2024

The pool and the breakfast were outstanding

The rooms were very nice and clean but quite small, the bathrooms were very small. But it was good value for money and the pool and breakfast were way beyond our expectations

Lovely pool for late afternoon cool down after sightseeingReally lovely garden & patio area, especially if you have a ground floor room Kettle in room On site parking??

No minibar fridge which would have been amazing to keep water bottles cool and drinks

Perfect stay in Provence (4th time in Hotel l'Amandiere for me). Comfortable rooms, very good breakfast, easy to reach both by car and walking (Saint-Rémy-de-Provence). Big bonus - charming cat neighbour?

Great hotel on outskirts of St-Remy-de-Provence. Easy to find and just a short walk into the town centre. Friendly staff, nice room and secure parking.

    For us, nothing!
