Hotel Cuatro Calzadas

This hotel was much nicer than we expected - it was used as an overnight stop on the way to the Ferry. The room was good for the money and the restaurant was excellent.

Excellent value. Quiet comfortable. Restaurant was very good.

Bed headboard had nails sticking out of it !

Very convenient for the motorway and large car park. Excellent bar and restaurant on site. Traditional Spanish hotel with more character than the usual chain hotels

Only problem was we were in a room where there was a pump beneath us that came on and off most of the night .

They used to do a set meal in the evening but they now only do a la carte.

Dog friendly, good location from the highway. Reasonably priced restaurant and comfortable rooms. Very informal and relaxed staff.

Locking the doors at night so you can’t take the dog out during the night. Also a safety concern in the event of a fire, albeit unlikely.

Room was a decent size with a small balcony, but no towels.The restaurant was nice, with decent food.Breakfast in the bar, simple and quick.A decent place to stop if as we were heading south from the ferry.

A smile at reception would have been nice!Towels the size of a postage stamp provided after a visit to reception.Restaurant menu was a little limited and in my view a little pricey.

The hotel, restaurant and rooms were spotlessly clean. Basic hotel with basic facilities. Gardens are beautiful but cannot be seen from the front of the hotel. We booked this dog friendly hotel as a stop over from the Algarve to Bilbao. We will use again

Good location, close to the motorway and in a rural location. Dog friendly, welcoming staff. Restaurant with a good menu. Comfortable beds and large rooms.

The locking mechanism on double glazed door on to the balcony was broken so the door was not completely secure. However not too much of a worry given the hotel’s rural location. Restaurant prices seem a little high.

Wonderful hotel near Salamanca, very accommodating staff, I was able to have my cat ? with me.

Proximity to the motorway. Facilities. Atmosphere.

En route location to our destination was good and easy to find. The waiter service at dinner was the best part of our stay. The restaurant dinner food was good.

Main areas of the hotel were hot although there was air on in the room. The reception staff were not very friendly due to a problem with our booking. Even though we paid for b&b the morning staff still tried to charge us for breakfast and did not offer a full complement; my wife went back and requested butter and jam to go with the croissants this was all we were offered.

Perfect stop over driving from Santander to Portugal. Super close to motorway. Simple clean rooms and has a pool and restaurant. In and out. Dogs can stay.

Although dogs can stay at the hotel they can’t go on any of the nice lawn or the restaurant. As a single parent with small children and a dog driving from uk it would have been easier to be able to have the dog with me on grass while the kids played and eat dinner at the restaurant. There was no pre warning and I was shouted in Spanish by an employee.

I like the convenience of the location. Staff always very helpful. Would like more options on menú.

Staff very helpful. Close to the motorway network. Have stayed here on many occasions either a pit stop or overnight. Will continue doing so in the future.

Lovely, traditional hotel. Very friendly, helpful staff. Good bar & restaurant. Dog friendly, big car park. If you're on the way home, wait to buy your Jamon y Queso here!

Location was close to the motorway and easy to find

Rooms need some kind of insulation as other guests were very noisy Or there needs to be notices stating no noise after a certain time Unfortunately there where some very noisy selfish people

Accessibility is very convenient. staff is friendly and polite

Rooms aren't soundproof, you hear when someone snores in different rrom. Cleanliness could improve. Water evacuation withou syphon and smell of waste water presents.
